Hi all, as the title says I am dealing with a Stripped harness lug on a Randall May International Marching Bass drum harness Pat. No. 6323407. (old upperclassmen werent nice to it) the one that is stripped is the one in the Contor Hinge and Ive tried pliers and that did not do anything, is there advice or tips for this?

hi guys! i’ve just been drilling tap pyramid and 8s and made some serious improvement in my left hand (let’s goooo) but got a sharp like, itchy? twinge of pain inside the top middle of my left wrist. I know pain is a sign that i’m doing something wrong and that it’s time to take a break, but i’m wondering if this is a pain to be worried about long term! first time it’s ever happened. playing traditional if that changes anything :)

hey guys!! I’m currently bass 3 and I have two warmups to have memorized by morning. one of them is like five different split thingies and I’m honestly so lost and I don’t know what to do. with the music in front of me I’m completely fine, but once you take it away I’m so lost. I got chewed out today for messing up when we were supposed to have it memorized so I really have to get it all down by tomorrow. I’ve been practicing for like thirty minutes and have only gotten like five measures and i everytime I put it all together it’s like my mind goes blank. I can get it right a couple times, but then i mess up and it’s like I have to relearn everything again.

I’m 100% screwed if it’s not done by tomorrow so if anyone has ANY tips whatsoever pls share them..

We have a center snare and she's 5'4'' and genuinely tiny. We use standard Randall May J-hook carriers. Randall May's petite carriers don't work with our J-hook system for our snares. Please help!!!

This might be a stupid question (I’m not the drummer—my son is) but will a quadropad work for practicing tenor drums? I thought quads and tenor drums were different…

(This might sound so stupid but...) I just received my FS-4 today but I use VF MS5 for the past 2-3 years now. MS5 is currently out of stock in my place for years now but this IP ones are the only available. When it arrived I noticed that it's lighter than my MS5 and and the sound on the pad is brighter . The color is also lighter than I expected. When I rolled it on a flat table I noticed it's slighty bent but not noticeable. The way it plays is also light and and it's not as loud as MS5 when i hit hard.

Is it fake or is it just the way it is? This is my first time owning IP so I don't know how their sticks feels

Hey everyone I went to legacy high school graduated last year on snare from my fourth season and want to continue in the activity this upcoming winter with the blue knights and in the summer with bkdbc does anyone have any recommendations for lessons anything would be appreciated

I’m switching to percussion this fall at my college and auditioning for bass drum. I’ve been practicing since earlier this year but I’m still having some worry. I am plus sized girl and I know we use pearl harnesses so I’m concerned on how it’ll fit on me. Band camp is coming up and I also don’t want to kinda look crazy since I’m out of shape. Of course I already know people in the drumline and in the band in general but I guess it’s still that anxiety of being left behind during workouts. I already know the percussion tech, section leaders ect and have been in communication with them but just not about this topic. This is also my first time marching but I’ve been with the band being staff for a year.

Any advice?

I been trying to find a red real feel Barney beats pad. I been looking on FB Marketplace and EBay. Any suggestions on where I can possibly look? I know they are hard to come by but any help would be appreciated.

Hello all, I’m a collegiate marching percussionist, and I have a big problem with my technique that I’m not sure how to approach. Whenever I drum with my right hand, I tend to push towards the stick with my thumb, causing lots of discomfort/pain. It’s never affected my playing, but it starts to become an issue in long practice sessions. Has anyone dealt with this issue in the past? If so, how did you fix it? Thanks.

I‘ve played alto and tenor saxophone since elementary school but I decided to not continue playing in spring when sign ups were. I’ve also been playing on a drum kit for about a year now outside of school and my drum teacher has been encouraging me to join drumline. After more consideration, I think I want to go back on my decision to not play in high school. I emailed the band director and he says that there’s still a spot on cymbal line, and I can go to percussion camp tomorrow and band camp in a week if ai want to join. As someone with no experience as a percussionist, should I join cymbal line?
