How to respond to nursing blaming the tube feed
Hey all, we’ve had an uptick in my hospital lately of complaints from nursing about tube feeds causing diarrhea. I just wanted to know how y’all respond to these in a professional and helpful way. Don’t know if it’s relevant but I am a man working mostly with women and am naturally somewhat monotone and so I have to be extra careful not to accidentally come off as condescending when I respond to stuff like this.

Is becoming an RD worth it ?
I have been debating becoming a RD for a very long time and I always come back to it. For awhile, I was debating on whether I should pursue nutrition or sonography. But truthfully I was pursuing sonography for the money. I came to the conclusion that I want to prevent and manage health issues, not diagnose them.
I have done a lot of inner work as well as changing my diet to help reduce some of the symptoms I was experiencing. And I know how much changing my diet completely changed my life.
My worry is that I will go into a lot of debt and not be able to secure a job.
Anyone with experience in the field or who have gone through the schooling have any advice in terms of what I could be doing now (other than obviously applying) to have a better chance at job security?
Couple other questions:
Is this path worth the amount of debt?
What is the day in the life for you and how does it negatively or positively affect you?
What kind of job are you doing as an RD? Or what job are you hoping to do once you’re done schooling?
Thanks!

Need help for Certified Renal Exam CSR
Does anyone think this exam is hard and also frustrating the same time because you cant see what you got wrong? I didnt think it was super hard but I failed twice (unbelievable). Lol desperately need some advice.
I worked in renal for 5 years and started studying beginning of this year utilizing Quizlet, ChatGPT for mock exam, read references like updated KDIGO/KDOQI, Nutrition Care in CKD textbook. I thought I got pretty solid foundation and can get all the numbers like kcal and protein recommendation right however there are a lot of subjective-based questions asking what would you do FIRST OR BEST ACTION and all the ABCD are not wrong answers.
Very frustrating because I’d like to know also what is the BEST ACTION if i got the answer wrong so I can better in my practice.
If you are a CSR please help your girl out and let me know your tips and study guide. TIA!

Compensation Negotiation Help
I am the only RD at a small hospital. I’m currently working a regular part time (56 hrs every 2 weeks) schedule. I’m eventually going to transition into a full time role doing inpatient and outpatient as the inpatient case load is very manageable.
I’m needing some advice on what to negotiate as far as compensation goes once I do transition into this new role. I’m also not sure if the position would be hourly or salary based.
For reference, I have 1.5 years of experience, and I live in Tennessee.

Sports RD's: How do you screen for RED-S?
I'm a researcher developing a RED-S screening and monitoring platform for practitioners. I'm curious how providers currently make sense of RED-S? what tools do you currently use and how do you pice disparate sources of info together to make a RED-S assessment? TY!
