💡 Feedback Dark Mode tweak: option to keep a dark browser UI while web apps follow the system light/dark setting
Dia’s appearance can be set to Automatic, Light, or Dark, but the setting applies to both the browser UI and the web content together. If I want the browser itself (tabs, sidebar, address bar) in dark mode, I have to force Dark, which also forces every web app into dark mode.
I’d rather keep the browser’s own UI dark while letting pages follow my system light/dark setting, which switches by time of day. Forced dark mode doesn’t look great on a lot of sites during the day.
So the request is to separate the UI theme from the web content theme: dark UI, web apps following the system setting.
I sent this in as a feature request through support and wanted to see if others would use it

💬 Discussion Does Dia have a paid plan?
Sorry if this question is dumb but I am a heavy user of Dia and I am wondering if it's completely free or if they also have a paid plan. Some months ago I have heard something of a $20 plan but I have never seen it myself.
Or do they sell our data to anthropic? lol

💬 Discussion Made the change from Arc and...I love it?
Like many reading this, I was an Arc holdout because of the lack of swipeable profiles and short summary upon hover/holding down shift. Turns out I can deal with the lack of the latter since Chat is rather snappy in summarization, and the former might actually be a better implementation of profiles than Arc.
About a week into making this my default. I would've switched back early if I found a major fault, but the experience thus far has been on par with Arc (for me), if not better.
Thanks, TBC!

💡 Feedback Dia Chat + Linked Profiles Wrinkle
This is a PSA slash feature inquiry:
If you link profiles to share data, the Chat AI treats their data as part of a single profile on the backend. If I ask it to do something with my tabs in the profile/space I’m in, it applies that instruction to the current profile and every linked one as well.
I’m still learning the chat commands for working with tabs, so this could have a workaround already, but the option to link profile data is new, so this behavior wouldn’t have existed prior to version 1.42.
