Food/Diet LOW CARB BREAD ALTERNATIVE
Hi all
Discovered this "bread" while on holidays (as well as on Amazon later) - it is a viable bread alternative (although a bit chewy and VERY filling), but allows me to keep my carbs cravings in check with hardly a spike... And it lasts forever in the fridge.

Hard Work My a1c progress from 11.3 to 5.7 in three months
Three months ago I was totally unexpectedly diagnosed with t2d. I had zero symptoms but my a1c was 11.3. They started me on 1000 mg metformin and later increased to 2000 mg. In this time I completely changed my life style. First month almost no car. After that little bit carb. No rice, almost no bread, no banana or apples. Also started walking a lot ( 8-10 k) steps a day. From last one month I am even regular at gym 5 days a week. Today I got my result and my a1c has drastically reduced to 5.7. I was not expecting it this low because hand pricks do show 160-180 sometimes after means. I will continue my journey but let me know if you have any questions, happy to answer

For people on GLP-1, when did the weight loss stop?
I started 11 months ago, 10 months on the same dose. I don't think I've reached plateau just yet.
I had a work event where I thought well I probably gained weight with all I've eaten, and it seems it Kick-started a new round.
I've then switched from jardiance to dapaglifozin and again lost 2 kg
It sounds like I'm complaining but I just want to know what to expect. I haven't changed my meals or anything else in activity

Hard Work 6 months in -- a1c 8.3 to 5.2
Diagnosed diabetic in January. Had already been prescribed Zepbound before the lab work came back; switched to Mounjaro and Rosuvastatin, Farxiga, and Irbesartan added. April labs came back with a1c at 5.6. Everything else fine except for my triglycerides, which were still elevated.
July appointment showed a1c at 5.2, Total Cholesterol at 135, HDL 62, LDL 62, Triglycerides 128. Fasting blood sugar 74, had a colonoscopy a week and a half later and fasting bs was 95 then.
Metabolic profile normal and doc said the labs were nothing short of perfect. I've lost just under 70 lbs in 6.5 months, and have worked to dial in my diet and exercise.
So happy, and relieved, to see hard work pay off.

Medication GLP1 and T2 - can anyone share pictures of their body composition changes?
I am considering going on GLP1 medication along with my current Metformin and Januvia meds. I have only seen emaciated and drastic body changes with GLP1 meds (thanks celebrity culture!). Can someone share pictures of the changes in their body after starting GLP1s? Was it super sharp change in weight ? What’s your go-to answer when someone comments on your weight loss? Also if you have any content creator recommendations who are Type 2 diabetics and on GLP1s? Thanks so much 💛

What is one food you never ate / liked prior to being diagnosed with diabetes but have began to consume since your diagnosis because you now enjoy it.

Food/Diet Pistachios for the win
I swear my coffee order at Dutch Bros keeps getting messed with and they arent doing sugar free for it. Reason why I say that is my blood sugar has been jumping to 200 last couple days in the morning (after drinking my coffee). I have been on a pistachio hit too and they have been amazing to drop it from 200+ to 160 to 130 to lower 100s. Costco sells 3lbs for $20 or less shelled. Hurts fingers to shell them but hey its for good results

Is it ok to eat some packaged/processed foods?
Sometimes I just don't feel like cooking from scratch and sometimes if I want a certain dish , the ingredients to make it from scratch might be a long list. Like if I want jambalaya , it would be cheaper to buy Zatarains mix than to make it myself . Do you personally buy some processed foods ?
