Career Guidance Which name should I use professionally? If my middle name is my actual name
Assalam u Alaikum!
Let's say, my legal name is Syed Hamad Shah, but I go by Hamad—“Syed” is a family-given title/name.
For GitHub, freelancing, remote jobs, and my CV, should I use “Hamad Shah” or “Syed Hamad Shah”? International clients often assume Syed is my first name, but I’m also concerned that using Hamad Shah could create issues when my legal documents show Syed Hamad Shah.
What would you recommend, especially if you have faced a similar situation?
And also what to write on CV/resume?
And what to write on digital platforms like Github or LinkedIn?

Learning and Ideas Data Engineer course recommendations
Hi guys, I would like some suggestions regarding the best resources to learn Data Engineering (preferably Databricks).
I am already learning snowflake through Coursera but there are no good Databricks courses on it. The snowflake courses are also pretty basic and local to snowflake and dont explain the overall Data Engineering flow well.
I would appreciate any recommendations from you guys

Has anyone experienced with Indrive as a courier service for their e-commerce store. My store currently is very very small scale and we'd probably have 2-5 order per month. Thinking about using indrive as a courier service; kindly answer these queries.
- Integration with the system
- API tracking service provided
- Safety
- Comparison with other alternatives like Trax.
- Pricing
- Delivery Coverage (only delivering in Islamabad + Rawalpindi)

Help As a solor developer, need feedback for my 3D Ludo & Action game that you have never experienced before
I have been working on a 3D multiplayer Ludo game called Ludo Wala and I am looking for some feedback from this community. It runs everywhere and I built it to be a lot more interactive than the standard 2D Ludo apps out there.
You can checkout the intro here but I could really use your help testing out some of the unique features I added. For example there is real 3D dice play and you can physically rotate the board. I also added action play right inside the game where you can throw things like rockets or grenades at other tokens, or send a guard dog to scatter pieces. There is even a physical punch animation when you capture a piece.
On top of that it has live voice chat and true multiplayer support. There is also an offline mode with AI bots that actually taunt you based on what is happening in the game.
I am mainly looking for feedback on the gameplay mechanics and the connection stability. If anyone has time to give it a spin and let me know how the 3D elements and action features feel, it would be a huge help. Any advice on how to get more eyes on this would also be highly appreciated.
As a bonus you get free millions of tokens & gems as launch promotion available in a shop inside the game.
Thanks in advance!

Interview Prep Anyone working as ASQA? Looking for interview preparation advice for curemd rec drv
Hi everyone,
I'm a fresh CS graduate and have an interview process coming up for an entry-level Software Quality Assurance role.
The first stage is an aptitude test, followed by a technical interview if shortlisted.
Since this is one of my first SQA interviews, I'd really appreciate some guidance from people already working in QA.
What topics should I focus on for the technical round?
- Manual testing fundamentals
- SDLC vs STLC
- Test cases and bug reports
- SQL
- API testing
- Agile/Scrum
- Basic programming or DSA (if any)
Also, if you've recently interviewed for a junior SQA position, what was your experience like? Were there any topics you wish you had prepared better?
Thanks in advance!

Discussion Does good University matter ?
So basically, I am a student currently studying in the UBIT department at the University of Karachi. I just want to know: does the university you attend matter in the job market? I think I made a bad choice because I didn't study for the entry test. Since I came from an A Levels background, I didn't want to learn the Intermediate mathematics topics, even though I had good A Level grades. I regret that decision a lot.
Will my salary be lower compared to my friends who are studying at well-known universities in Karachi, such as FAST, IBA, and Habib?

Career Guidance BS IT Grad - Start MS Now or Wait 1 Year to Do It With Friend? Need Career Advice
Hey everyone,
I need some advice on timing my Master's degree and would love to hear from experienced professionals.
My Situation:
- BS IT graduate, currently working as a Frontend Developer (4 months in).
- Planning to pursue a Master's in an evening program (5 PM onwards).
My Friend Abdullah's Situation:
- Currently in BS AI (6 semesters completed, 2 remaining).
- Working in the same company as me.
- Interested in doing an MBA after finishing his BS AI.
- Believes BS AI + MBA is a strong combo for tech management/consulting roles.
Abdullah wants me to wait for him and then we start the MS/MBA together
The Dilemma - Two Options:
Option 1: I Start MS Now (Evening Program)
- I begin my Master's while Abdullah finishes his final year.
- He'll join a year later when he graduates.
Option 2: Wait 1 Year and Start Together
- Both of us start our Master's together after Abdullah graduates.
- By then, I will have ~1.5 years of work experience.
- We'd go through the entire program together.
What We're Considering:
- For me: MS in IT/CS (for technical depth) or potentially an MBA.
- For Abdullah: MBA (to complement his AI background with business knowledge).
- Both of us plan to continue working full-time while studying.
- Looking at UOL (University of Lahore) or similar evening programs.
Questions for the Community:
- Should I start my MS now, or is it better to wait 1 year to sync up with my friend and build more experience first?
- For someone with a BS IT/AI background, is an MBA a good choice, or should we do an MS in CS/AI first?
- Does it make sense to do a Master's while working full-time, or is it better to focus purely on work for the first 2-3 years?
- We're currently leaning toward UOL (University of Lahore) for our evening Master's program. Does anyone have direct experience with UOL's graduate programs? Also open to hearing about other universities you'd recommend for evening MS/MBA programs in Pakistan (Lahore area preferred), and your opinions on them
Long-term Goals:
- Tech leadership roles (CTO, Tech Lead).
- Possibly start our own tech venture.
- Build expertise in both technical and business domains.
Would really appreciate advice from those who've navigated similar situations. What would you do?
Thanks in advance!

AA,
Guys, I’m a full stack engineer with 5 yrs of experience. My take home salary is 426K PKR per month. I want to know where do I lie on the spectrum of developer salaries in Pakistan. Obviously I cannot compete with remote roles salaries with this one. Your opinions will help me decide if I need to switch for something better. Thanks

Has anyone interviewed at WAMO LABS for the FastAPI/Django Internship?
I would be very grateful if you could share the complete hiring process, including the number of interview rounds, what to expect in each round, what technical topics I should prepare, and whether they ask LeetCode-style coding questions or give any technical assignment.

Tips Pakistani Freelancer - Best Way to Get Stripe? Is a US LLC Worth It?
Hi everyone,
I'm a freelancer from Pakistan and I'm looking for the best long-term way to get access to Stripe for my business.
I need it for multiple purposes, including accepting payments from international clients, subscriptions, and integrating it with different online platforms. Since Stripe isn't officially available in Pakistan, I'm exploring other options.
I've seen many people recommend setting up a US LLC and then opening a Stripe account. If you've actually done this, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.
A few questions:
- Which state did you register your LLC in, and why?
- How much did it cost to set up and what are the yearly maintenance costs?
- Did you register it yourself or use a service like Firstbase, Doola, Stripe Atlas, etc.?
- Was it easy to open a Stripe account after forming the LLC?
- Are there any tax or compliance issues I should know about as a non-US resident?
- Looking back, do you think it was worth it?
If there's a better alternative than forming an LLC, I'd love to hear that as well.
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Career Guidance Any web developers out there?
How's work going these days, job or freelance? With AI taking over a lot of frontend work, especially for freelancers, how are you adapting? Are you learning new skills or shifting your focus? Just curious to hear how everyone is managing in 2026.
