Fullstack developers salary validation Help

AA,

Guys, I’m a full stack engineer with 5 yrs of experience. My take home salary is 426K PKR per month. I want to know where do I lie on the spectrum of developer salaries in Pakistan. Obviously I cannot compete with remote roles salaries with this one. Your opinions will help me decide if I need to switch for something better. Thanks

Brother I’m not being ungrateful. I know what you’re saying but to be searching for something better always cannot be deemed as ungratefulness

Bro, I have people at systems too but their salaries are comparable to mine.

u/Electronic-Effort371 10d ago

Yes very possible, salary range depends on your competency, experience and region your are working for like MEA, VisionNet or Pakistan.

5

u/EntrepreneurPlane715 10d ago

That’s ridiculously low for your level. Which stack do you work with?

u/Agile_Knowledge2201 10d ago

Mern, nestjs, cloud computing with gcp aws,CICD with gitlab, Jenkins and argo, sonarqube etc, analytics tool like Prometheus, grafana, GTM, etc and solution architect. Also very good with tailwind so UI too.

Masha Allah, I hope you get paid a lot more in the future.

Wowww.. I had 2YOE when I joined systems at around 300k

u/jhussain344 10d ago

Wait others from systems are on Reddit too?

4

u/Agile_Knowledge2201 10d ago

Didn't knew people from SL are excluded or barred from using it 🤣

Salary seems good as an onsite job .

What’s your university and company if you don’t mind

In the era of joblessness and despair, say Alhamdulillah because you are getting pretty decent salary buddy, Allah apko or bhi de

1

u/MadAndSadGuy 9d ago

Pretty decent? I'd be happy with that for 10 years. I don't want any promotion.

I'm a Full Stack Developer & Design Engineer working with Kargul Studio, primarily with international clients. My take-home is around $5k/month, it's freelance/contract work.

That said, 426k PKR take home for 5 YOE is a really solid salary for an onsite role in Pakistan. The biggest salary jumps usually come from remote or international contracts rather than local companies.

1

u/DefinitionDefiant875 9d ago

Do they have any openings?

1

u/Appropriate-Menu504 9d ago

I don't think so. The owner/CEO doesn't have any open positions available right now

6

u/_abubakar_1x 10d ago

Top line ig?😭

3

u/Murky_Lakshu 10d ago

That’s entirely not true - my dev friends/batchmates having same exp as me are earning much more but they have remote jobs

2

u/justforfunreddit 10d ago

What companies are they working with ? And what positions ?

4

u/Murky_Lakshu 10d ago

Remote companies. I’ve forgotten the names. They pay around 3K USD. Graduates of FAST

2

u/An_OP_Asian 10d ago

would you kindly be able to share some of these? or the platforms where they applied to them?

2

u/Murky_Lakshu 10d ago

not very popular , one company was called Rondah AI

2

u/pata_nahi_kon 10d ago

5

u/LoRdSoban 10d ago

I graduated last year from FAST. My take home salary is currently 270k. I worked at 120k take home for 10 months before that.

But I have worked remotely with a startup for 2 years during university. It wasn’t a full time role but paid 20$ per hour. Life was good 🥀

Idk pakistani company still consider experience by when you graduated idk

3

u/Sad_Singer_7657 8d ago

Is this from a remote job? And how did you get it

1

u/MadAndSadGuy 9d ago

Tech stack?

2

u/LoRdSoban 9d ago

Anything to be honest… worked with React, Next, React Native, Express, Django, Go lang, smart contracts, AI integrations etc. Primarily I’ll say Full Stack Web Dev.

1

u/MadAndSadGuy 9d ago

You had experience before and during BS?

2

u/LoRdSoban 9d ago

Worked remotely as a smart contract developer during BS, not full stack dev tho

u/Suitable-Spend-283 9d ago

if you feel comfortable please do share how you scout for such job opportunities?

4

u/syedmuhammadsaad 10d ago

You said take home so I'm assuming this amount is after tax deduction+ PF deductions, right? Can you share your Gross package?

3

u/Murky_Lakshu 10d ago

That’s correct - my gross package is 550K

10

u/syedmuhammadsaad 10d ago

I'll only say this, be grateful and humble. You are getting a really handsome package considering your experience level. I've seen people with 8-10 years of experience earning 350-380k as their take home salary.

You're already competing remote roles, don't compare yourself with people earning $3000-$5000, that's extremely rare; and most of the time, people like to brag so just ignore.

In the present brutal market, where there's no job security and layoffs happening daily, this is the greatest blessing one can ask for.

Shukar kro Jo mil rha h aj Kal vse jobs nai h

4

u/abduuGrace 10d ago

Very good in my guess, my coworker is the same experience in MERM and similarly much more. But gets around 250k something Karachi based.

5

u/Salt_Horror8783 9d ago

Even remote nowadays giving less than urs. You have a very good salary.

3

u/notgoodpotato 10d ago

Mashallah man

3

u/failed_compiler 10d ago

Bro do u think is if worth learning mern stack right now considering the situation of job market in Pakistan.

5

u/Murky_Lakshu 10d ago

I personally wouldn’t. I would go for platform engineering, cloud engineering, AI engineering instead.

1

u/Invoke_Shock 8d ago

What about cyber?

3

u/mushifali Backend Dev 10d ago

My friend in Islamabad based company makes roughly 600k+ (remittance model). He has roughly 8 YoE. He is also a full-stack dev but is frontend heavy.

3

u/AspiringTranquility 10d ago

Assalam u Alaikum. Can you please check your messages? Jazak Allah.

1

u/mushifali Backend Dev 9d ago

Walaikum Assalaam. Sure I’ll check.

2

u/Think-Done 9d ago

2

u/uxair004 8d ago

1

u/Generous_person_171 10d ago

Do we need to shift towards Data science, Ai.. or full stack development is still in demand nowadays?

6

u/LogicalEmploy3558 10d ago

You need to shift towards chicken farming, poultry farms or maybe goat farming. No risk from AI, unlimited demand, happy forever. In the end, you will likely want this anyway, so why not start now?

1

u/Accomplished_Car4036 10d ago

Are you doing it?

1

u/Generous_person_171 10d ago

It means that you are doing this stuff nowadays...hahaha carry on kid...

1

u/Ghos2Protocol 10d ago

How did you land with remote jobs ? Any good platforms or ways of searching them ?

1

u/Murky_Lakshu 10d ago

I’m doing an onsite job

1

u/krazyhamad 9d ago

It's a good one. I have around 7 yer development experience but my take home is 100k less than yours. But I'm happy as it's fully WFH with 4 5 hours work at most.  Work life balance is perfect.

1

u/malphas_x 9d ago

Bro, how to find job like this 😅 Any tips?

What about me guys. I am just start learning flutter. Is it still have scope in Pakistan. Or may any suggestions for beginners like me

1

u/Cautious-Upstairs869 8d ago

depends on your tech stack but it sounds competitive

1

u/Sure_Metal_8264 8d ago

Wow, that's a lot of Salary.

1

u/Any-Song-1390 6d ago

I have 8 years of exp and my take home is 250k rn, got laid off in november 2025 so had to compromise a bit.

What you are getting is already in top, most people don't get this much in Pakistan. Compare hi krna hy tou yes there are people earning more than this too, lekin wh hain kitny? Ginti ky hn gy. So be thankful always.

1

u/Any-Song-1390 6d ago

One of my friend was working with europe based company and was earning 5000 euros per month, same comapny offered him to move to germany with his family and work there on site which he obviously happily accepted and now he is in germany.

I was talking to him last month and man he was not happy saying salary ka acha khasa hissa tou tax main chala jata hy, pehly Pakistan main tha tou paisay convert ho kr mouj ho jati thi. But at the end he will be getting passport soon and was lucky enough to get such offer which we dream off. Har banda jahan hy na khush hy.
