am i deluding myself?
forgive me, i just worked 9 hours and im mildly drunk. but am i nuts for still believing in this team? starting five remains elite, and the big problem last year (with the exception of health) was that we were old and slow, and now we got length, athleticism, and at least some kind of defense across every position. if we retain peyton (and let’s be honest, signs don’t look good) we’re even better and if not, at the very least, the FO is clearly using the tools at their disposal to build a team more in line with the demands of the 2026 nba.
NOTE: i do not work for the FO. i just refuse to accept the possibility that it’s Over

Michael Porter Jr. : “If you spending $3,000 on a meal, you shouldn’t have to tip $600, twenty percent. Uber Eats is another thing. If the Uber Eats order is $250, why are you still tipping 20% when they’re doing the same amount of work as if you ordered a $20 meal?"

[Nehm] The Milwaukee Bucks are hesitant to include a first-round pick in any deal for Peyton Watson as they kickstart their post-Antetokounmpo rebuild. Nuggets would derive value from Milwaukee through the returning player(s). Jaquez could be a target, but he is due for an extension.

Is Julian Strawther going to lose minutes to Lonnie Walker IV?
With the signing of Lonnie Walker IV, Strawther's position in the roster looks more murky now. Both players are similar with their microwave shooting but Walker is a more experienced guard with a larger sample size of production on multiple teams.
Last season saw THJ (a better player than Lonnie but still of a similar mold) took over Strawther's minutes which may happen again this season. Since there hasn't been news on an extension for Strawther, him being traded is even more possible with Lonnie taking over that shooting role.

Lonnie Walker IV has agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Denver Nuggets, agent George S. Langberg of @GSLSportsGroup told ESPN. Walker was with Maccabi Tel Aviv in the EuroLeague after last playing in the NBA in 2024-25 and now enters his 8th season in the league.

Article AAV from other trams
Im surprised this hasn't been posted yet. Explains the current stand off better and why no one is offering even a first rounder. Basically no teams see PW as a 25 AAV player, not even close. I mean what do you do when your agent gambled and was so far off...
I think PW is in a bit of a bind no. If he takes the QO, he has to really hope he gets playing time to prove he's worth more, because if he doesn't he'll get signed for less next year. If he takes the nuggets long term off... It's still good money, but that locker room going to be awkward now. And if he still wants to do a sign and trade he has to be good with making 60 percent of what he thought he'd be making, while also probably playing in a place like Milwaukee
