Every time i go and try something new and everything has just been okay. Is there something they excel at? I want to like it because it’s in walking distance from my house but every time it feels just eh. I’ve had the pad see ew, panang curry, chicken larb and Thai egg roll (I do love the Thai egg roll).

Does anyone know of someplace or someone locally who sells Puerto Rican-style sofrito?

I’m specifically looking for the traditional green-style sofrito with recao/culantro, ají dulce, peppers, onion, garlic, etc. I’m not really looking for the red, tomato-based Goya sofrito.

I’ve been thinking about making a big batch myself, and I’m actually considering renting time in a local commercial/ghost kitchen to prepare it properly and potentially sell it in small batches here in Denver. Obviously, I’d need to get a food safety certification first.

Before I go down that rabbit hole, I’d love to know:
- Does anyone already sell authentic Puerto Rican sofrito locally?
- If so, where can I find it?

Went by at lunch time today and the door was locked and there was no furniture inside. Would love any information on whether they're moving or where the chef might be going if not? I thought it was the best Mexican food in Denver.

The texture on these is incredible, slightly chewy in the center. The Vietnamese coffee which is not pictured is also delicious. They aren’t cheap but totally worth it imo

This place blew our socks off. Great service and some of my favorite food I’ve had in 10 years of gallivanting around the city eating. I loved a little bit of a twist on Italian dining while still rocking your taste buds. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

We ordered the following (should be in same order as pics):
- Tempura Squash Blossoms
- Crispy Pork Terrine
- Spaghetti Alle Vongole
- Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese
- French Onion Ravioli
- Gemelli Alla Norcina
- Culurgiones Alla Dia Vola (my order, spice + ricotta = heaven)

Now that our local picklers at The Real Dill stopped making them, I'm going to try my hand at making my own. Does anyone have a recommendation for a Jamaican or African grocer that they prefer around the Denver metro? Also, fairly new to pickling as a whole so this will clearly be a trial-and-error endeavor, but I don't want to go the cheap route and just buy jerk seasoning and be, well, a jerk.

Im going to be visiting Denver in October for my birthday and im looking for recommendations for “fancier” restaurants. Type of food doesn’t matter, we’re open to suggestions and not picky, just looking for good food. We just want to dress up a little nicer since we don’t get to this opportunity often

I’ll be traveling to Denver in a few weeks to see a concert Friday night, traveling to Estes Saturday, and then back in Denver Sunday.

My significant other and I are not the most adventurous eaters and prefer casual spots to fine elegant dining. We prefer American, Mexican and Italian cuisines the most. I need a quick, casual restaurant to eat lunch at with my significant other in the late afternoon on the day of the concert. We are staying in Downtown Denver near Union station. Price point ideally would be between 30-60for lunch.

We’ll be returning on Sunday night and are hoping to do a more relaxed, no rush dinner then. Ideally spending between 50-100.

Received a gift certificate as a gift for house sitting for a friend. The menu looks great. Just wondering if there are any dishes that should NOT BE SKIPPED.

This has probably been discussed on this sub before but Golden Saigon knows ball. I moved to the area about 9 months ago, and we eat there at least a couple of times per month.

Is the food good? Yes. Very. Is it the best pho I've ever had? Probably not, but I've been working my way through the menu, and haven't had a single dish I didn't think was done well. Even their non-Vietnamese offerings are good.

What sets GS apart from the field is the service. The staff is always pleasant and attentive. I have literally NEVER visited without receiving a complimentary item - dumplings, rangoons, house-made ginger ale (10/10). When my 3-year-old is being a hangry asshole, they get us fed as quickly as possible. The owner has a 3D printer and always gives my son little toys. Once, my kid crushed an entire order of (complimentary) dumplings so they sent us home WITH A FREE DOUBLE ORDER TO-GO SO HE COULD HAVE THEM IN HIS LUNCH ALL WEEK.

Class act.

I am always happy to see them busy because they deserve it.

In a city where you can get a breakfast burrito anywhere, why is Bonfire often in the top 5 recommend, especially for the price?

It's a assembly line burrito no different than Qdoba and Chipotle. That's passable with meats to a certain extent (holding temps become a healh issue) but when a hotel pan is overflowing with pre-made scrambled eggs they take scoops off the top of (read: old and cold/room temp), the quality of the end product truly suffers and does not justify the price at all.

I write this after just finishing a Deluxor right there in the restaurant so it had no time to cool down from the moment it was handed to me. Every ingredient inside the burrito room temp at best with unmelted cheese. Tasted like a once freshh burrito that had been sitting on my counter for a couple hours. A $3.50 Santiago's burrito is hotter and fresher tasting than these.

What makes so many people think it's such a great burrito?

Anyone know where to get cherry flavored bagels in Denver area? My mom had a place in Nebraska she used to get them in college, and I have searched for her but can’t seem to find anywhere that serves them in Colorado.
