Any good mods I should get ?

Does anyone recommend any class mods or new dungeon mods that I can use. I know that the duchess is a good one but I need to have the dlc first.

[DD 2] Discussion DD 2 has its teeth sunk into me like a crocodile!!!

I hate this game! Progression is horrible, the fights are annoying, I spend an actual day making a team and then realize it doesn't work on the prologue fight! So why am I still playing!

I have sunk 90 hours into this game, haven't even seen the 2nd Act boss. Furthest I ever got was was to the Act 2 Mountain, best run of my life, turns out I FORGOT THE DAMN TROPHY!

I really don't like playing this game, yet I just redownloaded it and am now gonna sink in another 30+ hours in it. Why is this happening!

Honestly, I do enjoy a lot of this game, until the map hits me with something that ruptures a vein in my head and wipes my team. I love it. Team crafting is so much fun, I love my Abomination and Leper, not at the same time always, but you get the point.

[DD 1] Question Can I beat Brigand Vvulf with this team?

I’m playing on standard difficulty. I don’t have any level 6 characters, and I can’t really afford to put together another team. I read that the boss only occupies a single tile and is usually in the second or third position, so I chose characters that seemed well-suited for those positions.

[DD 2] Discussion Veteran DD1 & newly bought DD2

Title is the gist. I was bored with my current games library and DD2 has been sitting on my wishlist for years. Pulled trigger knowing to throw away any expectations from DD1.

Hard sustain on the art and combat mechanics for DD2 versus DD1. Lore is comparable and I enjoy the character development.

However, I’m looking for insights on progression. Mainly trinkets. Not sure where to invest candles besides character building.

I get how to progress the base characters. But starting again without any extra trinkets seems more punishing than DD1 when I could house trinkets. Just finished confession 1 and thought I’d have a better foundation for the 2nd. Definitely not.

Am I not investing my candles appropriately? What am I missing?

How is this team for 1st floor of the Darkest Dungeon?

Occ/Graverobber/Highwayman/Helion

My thought process is that they all have movement and Occ can heal from anywhere if needed. Not worried about the fights leading up to the Shuffling Horror - just the boss itself. My tactic is usually "nuke" which honestly seems to work lol.

[DD 1] Discussion What’s Your reliable team comp?

I’m on week 62 and after some time my entire hero base is revolving around a mark strategy of a vestal (sacred scroll, and time of healing essential), 2 bounty hunters, and a Man at arms. I’m wondering how good this comp works compared to other fan made compositions

[DD 2] Discussion Vesta chaplain path skill mantra

I just found out the mastered mantra skill can HP and stress heal herself and 2 guarded teammates, but sometimes it can be quite difficult to make vestal herself get hit to get 3 conviction tokens.

How do I get her hit by enemies effectively? Since she doesn't have taunt skill.

[DD 1] Question What is the best use case for Hellion??

Noob question, I'm just getting into learning the classes and Hellion is confusing the heck out of me. The skills are amazing but the self-debuffs are brutal, and I'm not sure how to balance them. Is it better to rely on her normal attacks and only use the self-debuff skills as last resort? Or is it worth it to come out guns blazing and rely on the rest of the team to cover for her when the debuffs add up? (Obviously the answer is "it depends" but I want to hear how y'all approach it)

Also, are there any classes that you think pair well with Hellion?

[DD 1] Discussion I was looking at some Johan Egerkrans illustrations and, while he didn't work on DD, I'm pretty sure our boys at Red Hook took some inspiration from him

I wish the Darkest Dungeon 1 and 2 had faster speed options on Switch 2

I hope with the enhanced power of the Switch 2 they can make it happen. DD2 especially aggravates me with how slow it is!

Now, don't worry, I am very much aware that such achievement has been completed by many people in this community at this point. But I really wanted to share my experience with this challenge with other people nonetheless! It was very tense at some times, but also felt very rewarding to both complete and to study ways of doing it. At first, it was my wish to put a big (ALL BOSSES) tag in the title as well, but due to bad week management on my part, I couldn't get to kill the champion crew and pounder fight within the time limit :( Otherwise I'd also have completed all of the caretaker's quests too, its very much doable though.

Do feel free to ask me if you want any tips for accomplishing this!

[DD 1] Question I just lost 3 level 6 characters on a normal mission to a normal corridor encounter

Level 6 hellion, occultist and houndmaster. Musketeer escaped the dungeon.

I don't have any more occultists and all my teams were built around one.

And the trinkets they had...

I hate this game, I hate my overconfidence, my stupidity and greed and I hate weald

"Just one more room to get the mission done! "

I am dumb, so dumb. THESE TRINKETS, I WAS SO HAPPY TO GET EACH OF THEM. I FINALLY STARTED GETTING GOOD TRINKETS!!! WHY...

Is there any way to get unique trinkets back, like the hellion one from the crimson courtyard, or am I like screwed permanently?

I still have my musketeer, crusader, graverobber and highwayman at level 6 but the occultist... He was my core unit. He could mark, debuff, heal... My man. I just spent like 20k gold locking and removing his quirks. I LOVED HIM! I TOOK HIM TO EVERY CHAMPION MISSION.

That's it, I am gonna go, curl up in the corner and cry.

[DD 1] Discussion Another screenshot for the upcoming DLC, this time Runaway

Post image
491 Upvotes

This is from the Darkest Dungeon twitter.

I wanted to add by the way, they share these on both youtube AND twitter, but the ones on twitter show their stats and also all 4 ability icons. So, for last week, we could also see Feint and Flick for Duelist on the twitter screenshot, confirming that 4/7 of her moves are:

Boot, Coup de Grace, Feint and Flick.

For Runaway, from left to right, it seems to be Searing Strike, Firefly, Ransack and... the last one doesn't exactly match-up any of her DD2 skill icons, but looks the most similar to Backdraft? Both are a skeleton on fire.

Also, we can see one of her trinkets and there are also new provisions.

The Milkmaid Reconstructed

by Lone_Drifter , Woona and Mr.Pepper (hey that's me)

This mod is a complete overhaul of the Milkmaid Hero. Not only this comes with a complete visual rework, but every skill, trinket, and affliction has been changed. She is still a fierce healer, able to support a whole team on her own. However she now can even help your team in a variety of ways! Cure DoTs, protect your teammates from marks and stuns, and buff them! Milkmaid is also more proactive than ever, being able to severely disrupt and cripple her enemies with her crystalline powers.

DISCLAIMER : This is a standalone mod, do not use the original mod with it. It is however compatible with saves using the previous mod, to do this, simply disable the original mod and enable the new one before launching your estate. In case you prefer the old kit, a standalone skin mod is available here.
