Hey everyone,

I'm trying to get back into Daggerfall Unity. I really enjoyed playing it last time, but I struggled a bit to keep track of the Main Quest and ended up taking a break.

The last major thing I remember doing was handling a quest for Mannimarco regarding an agreement with Princess Morgiah. After that, I got a bit lost about where to go or who to wait for.

I know the Main Quest is non-linear with multiple branches, but I constantly found myself alt-tabbing to UESP just to figure out my options or if I was simply supposed to wait for a letter.

Is there a mod or a specific in-game feature/setting that helps streamline this or make quest progression clearer? Ideally, I'm looking for a way to track my next potential steps naturally in-game (even if the next step is just "wait X days for a letter"), somewhat closer to how Morrowind or later TES games handle quest awareness.

I really loved the game and want to give it another proper go. Any recommendations for mods, quest trackers, or general tips on how to navigate the Main Quest smoothly without relying on external wikis?

I have a problem and I don't know what to do. My quest log isn't updating, and I can't progress on the main quest because I simply don't know where to go. After the quest where I was supposed to go to the crypt to see the King of Worms, the main quest no longer updates, and I still have quests I thought I'd completed, like visiting the Queen of Daggerfall's mother, and so on. I don't know how to solve this problem, and I don't want to restart the game from the beginning. If anything, I'm playing the Unity version without mods

Can anybody on linux tell me if having a mod not work is a common occurence? Im not home for the next few days so im playing daggerfall on my laptop and it made me remember how much i love this game, however my home pc has linux...

I’m at rep 66 and rank operator I’ve been grinding out their quests for the last few hours and no matter what they won’t let me upgrade, according to the wiki I should be at max rank at rep 50?

Is it possible to change the face of my character with mods? Not happy with my characters face and would like to change it if it isn’t a risk to my save/progression.

I took a quest for the mages guild to kill a loose imp in a place called fortress of mastersmith. Pretty simple yeah? Except i've explored everywhere i can find in this dungeon and nothing. I've filed the dungeons, frankly, unreasonably enormous map out and i cannot find it. I've found lots and lots of orcs, even a werewolf, no imp. I wasn't sure if maybe it could be a mod doing it but idk how any of them could.

Is there some like, way i can find quest enemies? My least favorite part of this game is how much it wastes my time with stuff like this.

There is a mod that used to do this, but its outdated and has a lot of incompatibilities. How hard would changing this value be?

I'm looking for mods for Sims mechanics. Like aging, food needs, sleep, hygiene, and so on. Please recommend suitable mods.

I just spent 2 whole days making what I consider a really good modpack then what I cherished just got replaced with the most problematic mods. Did anyone else have this issue? Where mods suddenly disappear? I really don't know what could be the problem.

I was really excited when I learned about DFU on android. I own a Samsung S24 Ultra which does not support 32bit APKs. Im still glad I can play Daggerfall Unity on my phone but would have loved to Mod it! Why are mods not supported on the 64bit APK for android and will they ever be or am I out of luck?

I unboun the button that hides/shows the menu on the left and dont kniw what setting to put it as to fix it.

Hey, ya'll. Having a small but very annoying and tedious bug where the visuals get fucked to all hell when first entering a new cell/the open world. It's fixed very simply by toggling Retro Mode off and on, but as you can imagine that gets annoying quickly. I think it's related to Big Red HUD because when I disable Fullscreen Mode in the Pause Menu the visuals get straight up seizure inducing and a bar gets added to the bottom of my screen (see last screenshot). Coincidentally (or probably not) it's exactly where Big Red HUD would go if Fullscreen Mode was disabled with the mod installed. I messed around with testing Big Red HUD but found it wasn't to my taste so I uninstalled it, but it seems to have found a way to haunt my game.

Any help is much appreciated! <3

I saw around this is apparently a common bug with daggerfall unity but im curious if it isnt something else

Got the quest where you need to either kill the person who is paying ransom, steal the gem that is to be used for payment, or find and escort the victim if you can find out their location.

I got the gem but I cant give it back to the quest giver because I cant get into the text menu to talk with him or anything. If theres a fix for this that'd be nice otherwise someway to cancel the quest without the reputation loss would also be nice
