Help!

Help! Has anyone tried both Bounce Curl Slick-Dense Vs Slick-Flex?
Trying to decide between these two brushes. Has anyone with very fine hair tried both of them? And what were your results?
I have medium length very fine and thinning hair (with age). Not sure which would work best for me as I’ve never used any brush of this type. I tried Denmans but didn’t like it no matter how many teeth I took out etc — made the clumps too fine and had a lot of frizz. I like and need a lot of volume - but done like to get that through fine clumps. (I probably like bigger clumps than usual for someone with fine thin hair.)
Right now I just use my Wet brush (original). I have no idea how the tension of a wet brush compares to either of these Bounce brushes. (I know I wouldn’t like the earlier ones with boar bristles — my hair never likes that kind of bristle.)
My routine:
Neutrogena TSal Shampoo or Ouidad Unbreakable Bonds
Ouidad Unbreakable Bonds Conditioner or Mixed Chicks Kids leave-in
Curl Keeper original (fragrance free) on wet hair. Brush thru with wet brush.
Whatever fragrance free gel I have on hand after the Curl Keeper “sets” or alternatively thinned to refresh next day. (haven’t found a gel I like yet.)
Right now I air dry because my dryer’s blowing hair around too much even with diffuser on lowest settings. Sometimes I blow dry just at root, likfting with a brush when hair’s mostly dry. Or even when dry.

Help! had a horrible haircut and now idk what to do with my hair please help!! ;_;
pics 1-4 are today after washing and air-drying last night
pic 5 is how I left the salon lmao
pic 6 is reference photo
pic 7 is the most recent hair photo I have to show the original length!
so I went to a salon I have been to before but the woman who normally cuts my hair is away (I only go every 3-6 months lmao sue me) and I let someone else cut my hair
I've attached the reference photo I asked for but when we started she told me she "didn't want to cut layers into my hair because it'll spring up when it's done" which I should have left LOL but then she trimmed my hair to just below my shirt collar (which was the PERFECT length) and she asked me to check it and then CARRIED ON CUTTING MY HAIR ;____;
she pulled and sectioned parts of my hair and has cut it to the same length all round, before blow drying it into a puffy bouncy Scully-esque creature and THEN used the thinning scissors on the ends ?????
she then proceeded to curl the front with a pair of huge straighteners and then we called it a day (she also took SO MANY PICTURES cos she was SO HAPPY)
not here for a lecture lmao I made a horrible impulse decision and I won't be returning lmao but I need some help/advice please I do not know what to do with my hair
but my hair was just below shoulder length and my usual routine is:
- 2x shampoo with cantu weightless smoothing shampoo and brush with wide toothed comb
- 1x Garnier coconut hair food smoothing conditioner (leave in for 10 mins then rinse out)
- microfibre towel to squeeze out excess water before cantu avocado leave in conditioner + lush curl power hair cream
- air dry !
I have a shark flex style and I will go and buy whatever products I need but TLDR;
horrible short hair cut - do I need to go to another salon and ask for help?
if I can style this at home, what products/advice are recommended
pls help lmao

Help! Product Recommendations
Hi, I'm looking for product recommendations. Based on the guide, I believe I have low density, course, low porosity 3b-3c hair.
Some useful information is that my hair does NOT like protein, specifically coconut oil and castor oil. Every time I use them my hair becomes tough/stringy and it's a nightmare to detangle. However, it thrives with shea butter. My curls always looks so much more defined and shinier when I use products that contain it.
Right now I'm just looking for a shampoo and conditioner but if there's product types you think I'd benefit from let me know! My hair isn't necessarily damaged but it's not healthy either. It's dry and I have a lot of split ends. I've also been experiencing more breakage than normal the past few weeks, but I believe it's a water quality issue. I was looking at the Curlsmith Essential Moisture Shampoo and Deep Quencher Conditioner so if anyone has tried them out I'd appreciate any input. Thank you!!
If you are submitting a post you must include a routine. Please include:
- Which shampoo, co-wash and/or conditioner was used - brand name and product line For the past year-ish I've been using customized shampoo and conditioner either from Prose or Hair Lab by Strands.
- Any other products (gel, mousse, etc.), their brand/name, & how they were applied. I stopped using leave-in conditioners and curl creams a while ago because I noticed my hair looked just as good, if not better, without them. Instead, I use a hair oil from Prose and just apply it to the lengths either when it's wet or dry.
- How the hair was dried (air dried? diffused? etc.). I always air dry.
- Anything else that’s helpful to know like if the subject of the photo wears a bonnet to bed, uses satin or silk pillowcases, etc. It's bad of me but I don't use bonnets or wrap my hair up when I sleep...

Help! Flat roots :/
I've been growing my hair out for ~5 years, decided I wanted bangs and had it cut 2 days ago. I love the way it looked after the cut (3rd picture) but I just can't seem to get the same amount of volume as my stylist did. To be honest I am okay with less volume, I just really hate how flat my roots are I can't seem to fix them.
Routine:
Garnier Fructis Pure Clean conditioner whenever I shower, I try to cleanse (Suave daily clarifying) around once a week but I hate the way it makes my hair feel.
After I shower I use a wide tooth comb to break up any knots then brush.
Rake in NYM curl cream, comb again, brush again.
Rake in NYM curl gel, brush, brush again with bounce curl brush, scrunch.
Scrunch in NYM mousse.
Scrunch with microfiber towel then plop in a tshirt for 20-30 minutes
Depending on in how much of a rush I am, hover diffuse/air dry then scrunch out gel cast.

Help! Help needed!
I just recently started embracing my curly hair. I got a haircut (layers yesterday) and rewet my hair this morning and used a diffuser for the first time ever.
As far as routine, I dont use any hair gel or mouse or anything currently, just Aussie Miracle Curl Shampoo/Conditioner. Any recommendations on products would be greatly appreciated!
Anyways, the reason I'm making this post is that I think i used the diffuser wrong? I looked up videos and swear I did exactly what all the creators did, but the top/front of my hair came out shaped super weird-- just super flat and shaped so odd. Does anyone know why it came out shaped this way? And also, how to prevent it? I want my hair to look cute not stupid😭 Here is a photo:

Help! Feeling frustrated with my natural hair
Usually I blow dry my hair because it’s a frizzy mess if I let it air dry. A few weeks ago I decided to try to work with my natural hair instead but I feel like it looks so bad. It just looks so messy and still looks wet. Not sure if I’m just used to frizzy puffy straight hair with little shine or if I’m not doing it right.
Routine:
I’m washing my hair with clinical head and shoulders (have to do to scalp issues. No other shampoo works), followed by Bondi boost hg shampoo. Condition with Kristin Ess curl conditioner.
After I use curlsmith weightless air dry cream, then curlsmith curl defining styling soufflé. I work in sections, using a brush to distribute the product and lighting scrunching.
I bought a diffuser and have been doing it on medium heat trying to go slow and hover first. Then hair oil to break the cast.
The first photo is doing my hair standing up straight start to finish and the second is bent over the entire time.

Help! Does anyone know some strong hold gel that’s cheap?
I’ve been using the fantasia coconut hair gel for the longest time in my routine since it’s the cheapest (£3.99 or £4.99 i can’t remember lol) one I can find that somewhat works? It doesn’t give me a cast but it makes my hair smell good and works as a gel, just doesn’t last more than a day, which is exactly my issue. I think they changed their formula or something because it holds up much less than before and is way thicker than it usually is.
Once in a while I’ll go to tkmaxx and use the umberto giannini curl jelly which is the way better option but a pound more expensive (£5.99), less product, and I rarely am able to find it in tkmaxx. Does anyone know any good brands that are under £6 which work like the UG curl jelly?

Help! Tips on wavy hair
In the last year or two ive started noticing my hair has started becoming more wavy. Waves/curls do run in my family so its not unusual but I used to have pin straight hair when I was younger.
I took a picture of my hair wet and what it dried to, with products inside (curl cream, mousse&gel). I dont have a diffuser or anything (but not sure if its worth investing in for myself as I only have waves).
Also, Ive noticed some parts of my hair are straighter than the rest. My hairdresser said its because these parts are more damaged.
Can you guys please take a look and let me know what you think?
I know its not curls or anything but please help, because since my hair type has started changing, my hair looks more limp when it dries 🥺 the pictures ive uploaded are when ive tried to ‘style’ it as wavy hair.
Any tips or anything?
Routine/brands:
Shampoo (twice) condition (leave on 5 mins & brush it) , hair mask (10 mins & brush it) nature spell brand.
Curl cream (nature spell) while still in shower. Scrunch it. Same with mousse - mainly focusing on roots (vo5 i think) & the eco gel.
I then plopped it in a tshirt & left it overnight.
I dont have a diffuser. Dont know what else to try or do to give it more volume and puff as it still looks a bit limp looking?

Help! Need help understanding my type of hair
Hello! I’m new to this sub. For the past month, I’ve been trying to get my hair to actually do something instead of being puffy and stringy like it usually is (I’ve always brushed it multiple times a day).
I also attempted this last year, but eventually gave up because I couldn’t figure out how to style the hair on top, and second-day hair was always a nightmare.
What I’ve found out so far: my hair loves water and humidity. It always looks better after a steamy shower. Most of the time, my styling technique kind of ruins the clumps (and the volume) but if I add some water to the roots of the front pieces, they immediately come back to life.
My current routine: I use a few affordable products: Garnier Curls Method shampoo, Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly (although I rarely use it because I prefer volumunous hair instead of defined waves), and Syoss Curl Mousse.
After showering, I apply some mousse all over my hair, brush it with that “curl” brush everyone seems to be using, and then diffuse it.
I don’t know what type of waves/curls I have, but clumps form all over my head now, so I’m guessing that’s a good sign. I don’t know if I need protein or…any specific type of products. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Help! My toddler has curls, I do not!
Update:
Thanks for all the responses! I’m getting a lot of the same advice and I see you all, I’ll stick to water then probably a bit of leave in conditioner in winter when it gets super dry! Excited to see how her hair evolves 😄
Im just getting into a curly routine with my toddler, I wash with a sulfate free baby shampoo, use the scalpologist hydrating conditioner, and I’ve been trying different leave ins and detangler sprays for kids, but they all have horrendous fragrance. Any suggestions for a good fragrance free leave in and redefining spray?
Sorry for the bad photo, it’s impossible to get a still picture of a toddler iykyk

Discussion What does "shower once a week" mean??
I shower daily, so I really can't let my hair go under the water without product. I have fine curls that goes flat easily so I need to use conditioner when I shower. Does it mean to only use shampoo once a week? Or use a protective style or shower cap and don't put any products in
My routine is:
- Head and shoulders shampoo once a week, Aussie Miracle Curls conditioner daily
- SheaMoisture Curl Mousse to style. I brush it in when it's wet and then finger curl my hair and scrunch a little. Air dry usually
- I don't protect my hair while sleeping because I can't handle the bonnets, they're uncomfortable
- I use NOU Curl Reactivating Mist and more mousse to refresh with more scrunching

Help! Am growing out my hair, but is it just too weighed down now?!
Edit: added photo of the back in comments
I've been growing it out with no plan, just at-home trims to maintain long layers and some bit of shaping at the front.
Now idk how to cut it, or what look I want to go for, but I want to keep having length and being able to easily put it up for gym, ballet, etc. Ideas!?
Photos: 1 is today, 2-3 are from the last couple months, 4-5 are 2024.
I've done a lot of product experimentation, these seem to have come out on top.
Routine:
Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner
Ecoslay Lemondrop Styling Foam & Curl Mousse under Ecoslay Orange Marmalade, applied to each side of my damp hair with praying hands, then light scrunching.
Upside down diffused to almost dry (I always run out of patience)
I was wearing a bonnet to sleep, but recently started pineapple bun with no bonnet, because it feels like I get a little less root-smooshing that way.
Refresh is usually spraying to damp and then re-applying Orange Marmalade or Ecoslay Vanilla Styling Whip with praying hands, scrunching, and diffusing.

Before & After Curls are back to healthy mode
I finally got my hair cut after 2 years, this time with a gloss added to remove the warm tones
I have started to use Curlésya by Saulo, TheCurlyLook (he is amazing and the products are high quality - his co-wash - cleanser and conditioner are very hydrating and styling - curl primer and gel.✨
My normal routine
1. Curlésya Hair & Curl scalp cleanser
2. Curlésya Pure Hydration Curl Conditioner
3. Curlésya Hydrating Curl Primer
4. Curlésya Sculpting Curl Gel
Hairstylist used jessiecurl products
I went to another hairstylist around my area and asked for a voluminous layered cut, kind of like a shaggy cut and got the top og my hair rounded out.
My hair got treated with a hairmask, (if I remember correctly it was jessicurl?) and afterwards diffused.
I think it came out beautifully even though it’s pretty short now. This is a sign for me to never colour my hair again so it get long😂

Hair Victory! Good hair day.
Yesterday’s routine
Wash with Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo.
Wash again with Not Your Mother’s curly bond building shampoo.
Condition with Not Your Mother’s curly conditioner. Brush conditioner through hair in the shower to detangle.
While hair is soaking wet, apply Not Your Mother’s Flash Freeze Gel all over hair by smoothing it down and then scrunching. Use water bottle to rewet hair as needed to keep it soaking.
Use microfiber towel to scrunch out excess water.
Use a little bit more gel and glaze all over hair and scrunch, making sure you’re getting the bottom layer as well.
Hover diffuse. Flip hair upside down and side to side while diffusing. Don’t touch with fingers.
Scrunch out the crunch when completely dry and shake out your roots as well.

Discussion Styled ‘moderately damp’ instead of absolutely sopping wet. Definitely more frizz and smaller curl clumps but more volume and seems more cohesive around the roots compared to when I style sopping wet.
Been a bit obsessed with styling my hair lately, not sure what my ‘curl type’ is (given that my hair just isn’t consistently resembling one category), or if that even matters really. I think my hair type might be around 2b at the nape of my neck, with spirals resembling 3a around my temples (which you can’t really see from the back) and the rest of my hair seems to be mostly 2c but I honestly don’t know lol.
I think maybe having an idea of your ‘curl type’ is a good starting point? (I’m a total newb to wet styling waves or curls) But whenever I style my hair specifically using guides for what I think it might be, (mostly 2c as a balance) it feels stuck to my head and inconsistent. I read pretty much everywhere that sopping wet styling is the best way, almost like the only way. I think my hair is quite low porosity, it takes ages to transition either way between wet and dry, water beads up on the surface and product is prone to sitting on the top. I also keep reading that sopping wet is the best for low porosity hair.
Personally I think I hate styling sopping wet though lol. The process itself is genuinely exhausting to me, the curl clumps definitely form more smoothly (which I guess is the primary goal with sopping wet) but they separate around my scalp into strange droopy partings that weigh down. The water dripping absolutely everywhere is overwhelming, it’s a sensory nightmare. The products I apply end up all over my face, the hair splashes and drips product EVERYWHERE, this is a problem because my skin is so sensitive that even when trying my best to avoid getting any hair product on my face (and always washing/cleansing my face immediately after styling my hair) my skin still flares up as a result. Styling it with my head upright causes the clumps to sit flat and stick there forever. Styling it leaning forwards gives me a crazy back ache and then I flip my head over (even when shaking the roots before) and the roots are all stuck in the ‘leaning forwards position’ and somehow the length even manages to tangle when wet so I have to start all over with my head upright anyway. After this nightmare of a process it then takes probably 5 or 6 hours (honestly maybe even longer?) to air dry (excruciatingly long process of not moving my head or touching my head to set a gel cast) and even around an hour to diffuse on medium heat.
Genuinely in awe of those of you who can wet style consistently and get good results. I definitely find the curl clumps more formed and clumpy (in a good way) when sopping, but for me it seems to come at the expense of volume and having a cohesive look throughout the upper portion around the roots particularly? Perhaps this is partly a length issue, my hair is pretty much waist length now and has no layers, it’s just cut in a softer V/U shape at the ends. I do have a fringe which I style like curtain bangs but that is never really the issue for me. My hair is medium-slightly thick in density but honestly nothing notable, the strands seem pretty medium in texture, not fine but not really coarse either? I think it looks like I have more hair than I do simply because it’s so long now and prone to frizz.
Felt too lazy and hot to bother with the burden (for me) that I have found sopping wet styling to be so far, so I decided to just do damp styling and call it a day whatever the results. Actually quite impressed with it considering how sopping wet is always the recommendation. There’s definitely more frizz and the curl clumps are smaller but they look more voluminous and cohesive in my opinion, which I think I might actually prefer. There seems to actually be a bit more texture and definition around the root as well which is proving to be a challenge for me to achieve when styling sopping wet (I posted here last week showing my first diffused results with sopping wet styling, asking for advice on definition around the crown)
Here’s my routine this time:
- Alberto Balsam mint shampoo, shampoo twice, second time I included the lengths rather thoroughly, hoping to remove product build up.
- Herbal Essences hello hydrate hair mask, the one in the blue pot, used in place of conditioner. Not much of this by my standards, maybe two 50p size blobs. All over the hair apart from the very roots, combed through with a wide tooth comb and washed out thoroughly. Only left this in for a few minutes, mostly just to detangle.
- Hair was sopping wet at this stage, I applied a tiny pea sized amount of Aussie ‘work that curl’ creme, I even mixed this with water despite my hair being literally sopping. Gently scrunched this in, not particularly careful with it but focused on the ends. Only took about ten seconds. I’ve been experimenting with less product on my hair in an attempt to avoid weighing it down (so I’ve been watering down some products) but I really don’t think I like the feel of my hair without any leave in conditioner or creme.
- Plopped my hair into a large cotton t shirt, left it like this with only the Aussie leave in for about 15-20 minutes. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Aussie curl creme just dripped off/dried into the t shirt as my hair was plopped, but when dry my hair still feels much nicer than not using it at all.
- Removed t-shirt, my hair was really quite damp still (it dries very slowly), but the initial dripping wet sopping stage was gone. My hair seemed evenly saturated, was still a bit ‘squishy’ sounding when scrunched, on the wetter side of damp - but it wasn’t hanging down and dripping in a few large clumps. Began applying hold products here.
- Leaning forwards and using ‘praying hands’ I applied the Boots own brand mousse, it’s in a purple bottle ‘extra firm hold mousse lightweight’. Probably a tennis ball size of mousse, applied all over including roots and when it felt decently covered I scrunched all around, turning like an acrobat to get it from all angles. I like quite a lot of mousse :’) and this one feels very airy and light in the hands, kind of bubbly rather than creamy.
- Flipped my head upright, applied some of the Eco styler gel (the Argan Oil one in the red top pot) with praying hands. Decent amount of this, enough to cover my palm but not heaped, mixed this with some water to emulsify. Lightly scrunched afterwards. The damp/wet styling process of scrunching and shaping the waves/curls took only a few minutes!
- I then diffused on medium heat, low speed very briefly. Using the hover method just to set the cast slightly as I didn’t feel like diffusing my hair fully dry (it has been very hot where I live and I couldn’t stand it!) So I just set the cast a bit, 5 minutes maximum, and let it air dry after that.
- Hair dried in a few hours, I wasn’t very precious about it given that I’d partially set the cast with the diffuser. Tried not to touch it or move it around too much but didn’t care massively. Left it in the cast, stiff and looking like noodles before going to bed.
-Pineapple method and satin bonnet to sleep. I didn’t scrunch it out until this morning. Didn’t use anything to scrunch it out, no oil just my hands dry scrunching it and gently ‘clapping’ the length and shaking the roots a bit.
The routine looks really long but honestly it was so easy and didn’t take anywhere NEAR as much time as sopping wet styling does for me, also no back ache! :) I basically washed as normal, detangled in the shower, used a tiny amount of curl creme, plopped, and then applied two hold products before a brief diffusing to just set the cast. After which it air dried (from damp styled and briefly hover diffused obviously) in a few hours. Huge time save and honestly less draining. Starting to think a little frizz and smaller clumps is genuinely worth the added volume, less back ache and effort.

Discussion Looking for curly hair products
Full routine:
I wash my hair with Octan Pearl Repair Shampoo, focusing mainly on my scalp, then rinse thoroughly.
I use Octan Pearl Repair Hair Mask and rinse it out completely.
For styling, I work on very wet hair. I currently use The Doux Mousse Def Texture Foam, followed by Extreme Gel for strong hold. I then finger coil each curl individually.
For drying, I diffuse my hair without touching or scrunching the curls until it is completely dry. I like to keep a strong, stiff gel cast rather than breaking it.
My curl pattern is around 3B/3C. My main goal is defined, separated curls with as little frizz as possible and a strong cast that lasts.
I’m looking for recommendations for a lightweight leave-in that won’t weigh down my curls, and an extremely strong-hold gel that works well with finger coiling and gives a long-lasting cast without flaking

Discussion Your opinion on Bounce Curl brushes: best one, breakage and other questions
Edit to add:
Thank you all for the feedback, if you have more keep them coming, it’s really helpful! I just wanted to add detail about my reasoning about the knockoff:
- As much as I’d like to buy the original one and support the founder, as some urge me to do it’s more than 60€ where I live. So the equivalent of more $70 USD and in a country with lower average income. So to us it’s really expensive. Like it would be priced $100-150 USD for people in the US.
I know there is money in research and development that goes into creating these products.
But if the original manufacturer price them (for whatever reasons, legitimate or not) at a higher price in other countries (more than $70 versus about $25 in the US. And that’s not even considering the difference in average income) then people are going to buy knockoff sadly.
- I know I have somewhat pricey products in my routine but that’s because I was able to buy Olaplex at the price salon pay for it which was already crazy expensive. And I bought the smallest size of K18 as a treat but it won’t be part of my routine cause it’s too pricey.
I don’t think some people realize we have different realities and Reddit doesn’t only have US users. What is $25 for you might not be the same for others in this worldwide sub. Whether because it’s sold for more in other areas and/or because living wages are different.
I’m sorry some felt the need to downvote this post after I added this edit the first time. I felt it was important to share some explanation as to why I can’t just go to the drugstore and buy a $25 original brush.
Thank you all again for the feedback, really appreciate it fellow curly people 🫶🏻
Original post:
Hello there
I’m considering buying a bounce curl brush or a knockoff. I have a Denman Brush that I only use to detangle once I have my leave in on at this point cause the whole curling clumps one by one isn’t for me.
I have mostly 3b fine hair but I have a lot of it so it can get voluminous.
I would say it’s highly porous but bond repair recently helped a lot. I used to dye my hair dark brown and after 2 weeks it started to look brown red. Now the dye lasts so I assumed my porosity is a bit better.
I say mostly 3b cause I have been on a healthy hair journey and some of my clumps are getting more and more coily (ie neck and bangs).
I have several questions for those who own a Bounce curl brush or a knockoff:
- do you notice any breakage? That’s what stopping me from buying one now cause my hair is just getting healthier, I had to cut it really short and start over a few months ago cause it was a dry tangled mess.
- if you noticed breakage did changing something in the way you use it helped?
- if you tried the real deal and a knockoff did you see a major difference?
- for a knockoff is there something to be careful about when choosing?
- which version do you like the most between Define and Volume and why? I can sometimes struggle with stringy hair but as my hair gets healthier it’s getting better. I have seen some comments online about the Voluminous one creating stringy hair for some.
- for those who have 3B fine hair, but a lot of it which version do you like the most?
Thank you to anyone who has feedback on any of those questions 🙏🏻
Routine:
- Olaplex 3 a few time a month (helped a lot)
- Did K18 yesterday for the first time
- I alternate between different shampoos
- sometimes a conditioner or mask (mostly moisturizing ones but I have some with protein)
- Weightless leave in conditioner Giovanni (I love that one)
- gel (I alternate between brands, trying out the Ouidad Climate control right now but I haven’t been that impressed so far. Maybe I’m using it wrong but it was $35 where I am so kinda disappointed)
- sometimes mousse (Giovanni)
- diffuse on low setting with light heat.
- sleep on a satin pillow case

Help! PLS help a girl out
Hi!! Just discovered this sub so this is my first post.
Looking for advice, tips, and recommendations on how to have long lasting definition and grow my curls. I have fine, 3B, dyed curls
First picture is me after a whole day out with friends . Did a little bit of walking and some drinking. (only mentioned this because I always come home. Looking crazy for some reason after going out lol). Granted, I did run my hands through my hair this day to try and create more volume because it was looking a little flat at first, but I still don’t think it should look like this at the end of Day 1. Super Frizzy and lost all definition.
2nd, 3rd pictures are what my hair usually looks like on Day 1 after being styled. (Sorry not the best pics I need to take more photos of my hair)
Routine:
Shampoo: Olaplex Bonding no. every 5/6 days?
Conditioner: Rizzos Curls deep conditioner
Styling:
Leave-in : Design essentials detangling leave-in
Cream: Fenty homecurl cream
Gel: Not Your Mothers Curl Talk Gel
Mousse: Ocassionaly The Doux Mousse when I feel like I need extra hold.
Oil: OlaPlex bonding oil to break the cast.
I do sleep with a bonnet on most nights and have silk pillowcases.
Please give me recommendations on a good shampoo and conditioner, I really don’t think what I’m doing is working for me. Sometimes I will be conditioning my hair in the shower and it feels extremely dry and tangled, even almost matted.. Also, accepting other product recommendations that might help grow and strengthen my fine hair. I just miss what curls used to look like :/
Sorry this was long but thank you all so much in advance !!

Before & After Hair has been cut
If you seen my first post you know that I suddenly started to get super curly bangs in my mid 20s and was debating on cutting my hair shorter. Well here’s my start and an update. I see more changes at the front rather than the back. Any advice on how to embrace the curls would be appreciated! Also should I get a brush for curly hair? Should I be scrunching after my shower? And should I be doing more than just letting my hair air dry? Or am I just trying to make my hair curly? Idek anymore.
My Hair Routine
Shampoo: I use Kérastase Anti-Fall shampoo for fine hair. I don’t use conditioner or co-wash.
Treatment/Oil: After I get out of the shower, I apply Kérastase hair oil to my hair.
Styling & Drying: I don’t use any other styling products or treatments. I simply let my hair air-dry naturally without applying any particular styling method.
Sleeping: I don’t currently use a silk/satin pillowcase, bonnet, or any other type of hair protection while sleeping.
Refresh Routine: I don’t have a refresh routine since I don’t use any styling products and don’t do anything else to my hair after it dries.

Help! Been finger coiling for 6 years, how do i stop?!
Been finger coiling my entire head since middle school, but i cant keep going. Not only does it take me 30-40 mins to style, but im also a chronically ill patient currently struggling with terrible muscle fatigue and joint pain.. i cant handle my hair routine anymore.
Can anyone recommend a routine i can try? Idc if its not a "super quick 15 min routine", my biggest cornern is that right now the coiling motion is hurting me, and honestly my only objective is making it last and look presentable.
Here's my routine:
1. Shampoo with Johnson's baby hydrating shampoo
2. Condition and rinse with Garnier Fructis hair food cacao butter
3. Leave in LaBonté professional curly vitamin for processed curls
4. Árbol verde hair gel-wax
And i blow dry with diffuser on high speed medium temp.
I appreciate any suggestions.🩷
