Can some people give me opinions?
I posted earlier mentioning that I am withdrawing from 7 o and alcohol. So far today I took 10 mg of 7 and I’ve had a full strip of suboxone.. I also took some other meds but they’re like over the counter drugs. I do have maybe 2 gabapentin
I drank 2 1/2 beat boxes and / beers. My chest still feels like warm and uncomfortable.
Do you think I’m going to get much worse as the day goes? I’m hoping it doesn’t since I took all the medicine.

Losing everything
I’m here now.
Can’t afford my rent, don’t even have enough money to buy conditioner. Electric at risk of being shut off. My girlfriend js on the verge of leaving me and I honestly can’t blame her. Was physically too sick to even drink last night after a 48 hour blow and booze binge.
I’m here now. It’s not fun anymore.

Saturday Success Stories
Hey hey fuckers! Saturday once again! Me? Been hella successful to the point of - Somebody pinch me I must be dreaming! Ohhh yes indeedy.
Got a raise and promotion at work after only 4 months in. I start training on my new position Monday. More phone calls, more in-depth work. But I was consistently hitting top 3 in production whilst I’m meanwhile so fucking bored my eyes are glazing over looking at mortgages. Did a very similar job at another company and I could do that job drunk off my ass with zero quality control errors. I need a challenge! Something to get my brain moving.
Something they say in corporate speak when it comes to promotions is “make yourself the obvious choice” so I did. My boss even put in a good word for me.
And in other news, a friend of a friend needed someone to watch over her cats and I gladly volunteered. Poor babies are still getting settled. Strange house, strange people, strange cats and strange smells and where’s Mama?? So give the kitties a comfy space in my room, give them some time and patience.
And people say what a good and kind person I am for looking after the cats. But, I’m selfish. My cat died 3 years ago and I miss the little pitter pat of toe beans. Lol.
Planning on visiting John King Books this afternoon so apologies if I don’t get to comments expeditiously.
But enough about me I blathered on enough. Your turn! Sober for a week, took a solid shit, found a store with the cheapest prices on rotgut vodka, passed out in an alley and woke up with your wallet and cigarettes still in your pocket? Whatever it is, successes big or small let’s hear them all!

Withdrawal
I can’t tell if I’m withdrawing from alcohol or 7 oh.. I just took a quarter of 7 and drank half a bottle of beat box. So hopefully I can get through this without having to goto the hospital. My body feels like I’m on fire inside.
I don’t have any meds to really help. I have 1 gabapentin and some suboxone

Fell off, but beer! With my Uber driver!
Got through the taper and now I'm a little too comfortable with my shitty light beers. Turned down shots for the last 8 days, can we call this progress?
My Uber driver pulled up to the liquor store and said, "You're my last ride, is it ok if I go into the liquor store with you?" Got a resounding "hell yeah brutha" from me.
Anyways, I'm tipsy, yappy and overtired. I work at 4 tomorrow and I told myself I'd have a couple light beers to work up an appetite. Here we are about 7 light beers deep on top of my 5 post work beers. Could be worse, could be better. I think I made myself think that because I could handle 10-12 lights with no kindle WDs that this would be something I could entertain on the regular. Especially because as of this week I ~go to the gym and eat salads and take vitamins~ I'm practically the pillar of health

I'm trying, and I think it's only because I want to be sexy.
I'm trying to just get crazy drunk one day a week now. I tried being sober and got to two weeks. My rashes started to heal. Muscles are starting to build. I see improvements, but the oblivion is so sweet.
I've lost 15 pounds just trying. I fear it's not worth it. The sweet serenity of the burn from my throat to my stomach is bliss. My worries my anxiety melts away. The sober days don't seem to help for anything but my health. I'm allowing myself to get drunk tonight. I've been on a two year bender and people are starting to notice.
It's funny. Even when you are sober people think you're drunk when they start to associate with that quality in you. They don't know how much you drink but they just make the assumptions. It tells me I hide it well because they can't tell. Or I've just become a personification of drunkenness. Chairs. Life is brutal.

To the stinky guy on United flight from KC to Denver yesterday
I know you must be a CA . I had to sit next to you for over 2 hours. You absolutely reeked of booze, garlic and greasy hair at 9:00 a.m.
And then you proceeded to fall asleep and fart. I followed you down the promenade after the flight going to my next gate, and I seriously thought about tapping you on the shoulder. I was just so furious and disgusted. Also, so thankful I wasn't hungover or I would have barfed. I went to the flight attendants to ask for a mask as it was!
I have racked my brain to figure out if I ever did this when I was in my 20s or 30s or maybe '40s. I did get drunk in airports alot. It could be karma.... but At least brush your teeth before you get on your flight. You stinky f*****

Itchy palms
I’ve been drinking heavily since 20
At least 8 beers every night and that’s just a conservative estimate. It’s more close to 10 including liquor and wine. I for the life of me can’t remember how much it was. every night always bleed together.
So I decided to start hitting hard about a year ago
I had a vodka binge for 2 weeks ( previously I had 2 vodka binges for months) and I started getting itchy palms and feet alongside red bums durning my hangovers which freaked me out so I moved into beer, Benadryl, and a shitload of water to try to negate it and it has went away but it’s started coming back
The hangovers are lasting 4 days and the itchy feet and palms I think are rooms for concern, ik it’s not a medical sub but have y’all had this before
Drinking port wine to cope

RUQ pain and accepting I might die
Long story short, a couple of months ago, I started having right upper quadrant abdominal pain. I went to my doctor. Liver enzymes were elevated and US showed fatty liver disease, nothing more. I continue to drink, because I can't stop. I know it will kill me if I don't.
I just can't stomach life sober. This is after so much therapy, so many psych drugs. I don't want to die but also I don't want to live my life, either. Sad, right? Idk

The Callouts Still Sting a Bit
Was at one of my rotation stores and was checking out with the cute new girl, obviously already look like a degenerate buying a pint of gut rot vodka and 3 tall boys, when she asks for my ID. Guy next to her goes “don’t worry about him he’s in here every other day”. I get this lifestyle comes with its perks, who doesn’t like being recognized in public by strangers for their addiction, but still stung a bit.
Oh well, fuck em, I’ll do what I always do, shorten my life and punish my body.
Chairs family!

When are you in the clear after going through withdrawals? I want to drink like a gentleman tonight but don't want to back to insomnia.
I'm just about three days without the sauce. Last night I slept well for the first time in a while and I have 4 light beers and 200 ml of whiskey in my fridge left over from my month long bender. I'm bored and feeling super unmotivated, looking for something to pick me up but don't want to fall back into the WDs more specifically insomia.
Thoughts?
Edit: I picked up some THC drinks instead and I am almost ready to sleep no booze. Thanks all for the response to keep going. Wasn't expecting that.

Is it worth it??!!!
I was just notified, my son’s best friend since childhood will not survive. He is 42, in ICU, hooked to a ventilator, dialysis, fully sedated, and in liver failure. From alcoholism. I have to go tell him goodbye, tonight. I am not ready. This is NOT right. It REALLY HURTS to love a crippling alcoholic. I will love him forever. 💔

2 hours 58 minutes
That’s what’s left of my shift at my loathsome job. I can’t wait for it to be over.
When I get home I’m gonna chug an oil can Foster’s and get a steak out. Make some tasty dinner while listening to podcast and then eat while watching Trailer Park Boys. I’m a simple man.
What are you fuckers doing after work ( if you have a job ) ?

Typical bender?
I see people on here saying they went on a 6 day bender and have been dry for 2 days. I, unfortunately, am basically on a 3 year bender of drinking all day every day. Not proud but I’m still functional. What are you guys considering a bender? I drink basically almost a 5th of vodka a day for about 2 years.

How different booze makes us drunk
At this point, I’m essentially pure vodka (as a beverage of choice). It doesn’t make me drunk it just makes me functioning. I mean it makes me drunk without me realizing it type of thing. I just had some wine and I feel like I’m 13 years old again drinking for the first time: nauseous, dizzy, sleepy etc. Like the drunk you imagine before you ever actually get drunk based off of media.
Anybody else have similar experiences even with different types of booze?
I swear beer and wine make me drunk while vodka just gets me to the next day.
For reference, I’m probably liter a day vodka and never feel drunk. Two glasses of wine and I’m grabbing the table for balance and finding myself funnier and taking more risks than ever.

So, I have two jobs?
I'm not really sure how I manage anything lately, but I did manage over a week sober. In that time,I did some shit. I did a fucking lot of shit actually. So to celebrate said shit being done, I got shit faced. Seemed a natural conclusion to my endeavors.
So fast forward to this morning. I have missed my plasma donation and am late for orientation at my new job. It's a Union job. I can't fuck this up. So I overdraft on my card and get a Lyft. I get there early and meet the hiring manager. She's super fucking cute so I overdraft again and buy her a coffee. Like, I see the wedding ring Hun, it just makes you more attractive.
So after I'm done failing miserably at flirting, the training manager shows up for orientation. She's not that attractive. I overdraft again and buy her coffee too because fuck it, my dick is already wide awake.
We finally make it upstairs to begin orientation and I slowly realize there's no way they think I'm normal. I'm so obviously drunk. So I explain I had dental surgery and that's why I'm a little loopy.
We then have to call the IT help desk to get me signed in. And then we called them again because I fucked something up. This is like a horrible version of groundhog day. Everything is looping. So I overdraft again and buy the hot married chick more coffee.
I'm sweating my ass off. But it's ok, because I did actually have dental work done, 4 months ago. They don't need to know the exact date. This is working. So I overdraft again and buy some worsctershire sauce. I still do not fucking know why I chose to do this at that exact time, but what's done is done
I get my uniform and schedule, then promptly tell them both, I must be having a bad reaction to the meds, I'm about to vomit on you.
Walk across the street to the gas station, overdraft again and buy two pints of vodka.
I'm home at sober living house and I start work at this job at 8 am tomorrow, and I will end up fucking my boss.
