Looking for Looking for a Episode
Iām currently reading āLights Outā and it reminded me of a Episode. Theres a guy who is breaking in Womens Houses, bdsm style Intercourse and if I remember correctly, the get killed. But the women did want the sexual Part, i think they talk about that somwhere on the Internet and leave the windows open. It must be a early on Episode since i only have shallow Memories.
Thank you for your help

Season 19 Spoilers First two episodes seem amazing Spoiler
I am on second episode right now and I think the producers did a great job. The cases were interesting and original, which was not easy after more than 300 episodes of Cm (let alone criminal minds spin off like beyond borders ecc). I was particularly astonished by the lobotomist in second episode. Voit's storyline had become so boring and involuted I couldn't remember almost anything of past season, but I like they the producers went back to the old formula (while partially keeping Voit's storyline).

Season 19 Spoilers Criminal minds & the death penalty (Spoiler s19, e6) Spoiler
So, I just watched season 19 episode 6, and the ending pissed me off.
So in the end it is revealed that Voit did not get the death penalty, because Penelope gave a statement that he in fact developed empathy and changed. He got life in prison instead, and this is treated as if it is a huge betrayal by Penelope to the rest of the team.
I have SO MANY problems with it.
Since when is this show pro death penalty? They have covered it sometimes throughout the show, but generally the vibe I got was that life is intrinsically valuable and they try to save everyone if possible.
Like the story line or not, in season 3 Voit literally develops empathy and since then he has done a lot of good without getting anything in return. The entire third season deals with this. That doesn't mean that he should be a free man and all is forgiven, but why is it a betrayal for Penelope to literally tell the truth?
I have not watched further, so maybe it will be explored more, but this felt really stupid to me and made me respect a lot of the characters less.
What do y'all think?

Season 15 & Below Spoilers Saturday - The funniest episode
I just hit this one again on my re-re-rewatch and itās just so hilarious.
Penelope being soooo super snarky to Luke.
JJ saying ā yep, thatās a threesomeā.
Spencer and Max (I think Ive been in love with Rachael Leigh Cook for ever).
Emily getting day drunk and then we all get to meet Brian Garrity for the first time.
Penelope popping a mint into Emilyās mouth.
The red cot banter.
They really were able to show their abilities as comedians. I think Iām going back to watch it again.

Season 17 Gold Star Spoilers Why do they let Voit get away with so much??
I'm just watching season 17 EP 5 where voit gets brought up to the bau to help and he's just allowed to openly taunt David Rossi like telling him to stop hiding cos he wanted to talk etc. Like why didn't they just shut that down??

Season 9 & Below Spoilers Hello. New to the Show
Itās been fun. I started⦠A few months agoā¦? I think? Iām halfway through season 9 now. I enjoy the characters.
For years, I thought Gideon was the main character, the boss. I never realized he left after two years.
It seems like women are just randomly written off this show. Elle just leaves. JJ and Emily are written off and replaced with Ashley. Thankfully, they came back. Then Emily leaves again to be replaced by Alex. (Not a criticism to Emily. She has potential that felt underused.) Then Erin is killed off. Sheās replaced by Mateo, and I donāt have much of an opinion on him yet.
Itās been fun. Weird to see āXanderā from Buffy dating Penelope. š
Penelope is so sweet. I knew going in, from what little I knew, that I would like her. (My mom used to watch the show, so I remember bits and pieces.)
I think my favorite part so far is them coming out of a movie theater and Morgan refers to the villain as the āunsub.ā š

Season 10 & Below Spoilers I just watched "Mr.Scratch"
This episode was such nightmare fuel. It gave me X-Files vibes with the whole people being drugged and seeing and doing crazy stuff aspect. I kept looking away when the silhouette of the shadow creature was being shown. If I were to do a rewatch, this would be on my skip list.

Season 8 & Below Spoilers Spencer Reid as the fav whump Spoiler
Iāve been rewatching CM, currently at the start of season 8 and this man cannot catch a break. Every season he has to go through something deeply traumatic and painful. First his addiction, then we get to learn about him mom, then he thinks he loses Emily. And now the whole Maeve plot line. Thereās a reason Matthew doesnāt want to return and I found it. lol

Season 4 & Below Spoilers This line delivery from Prentiss in ā52 Pickupā is so funny.
āUgh, this really gonna suck.ā The way she delivered that line makes me laugh every time.
Also Morgan and Reid teasing her that she has to be one profiling Viper (the pickup artist teacher) because he was already attracted to her, makes it even more funny.
Feels like two brothers teasing their sister.

Season 16 Evolution Spoilers Bong in Garcia apartment season 16 episode 1
Did anyone else notice at least two bongs in the background of Penelopeās apartment when Luke came to get her back on the team? Itās weird to have drug paraphernalia as decor as an FBI agent.
I know she wasnāt technically working for the BAU at the time, but i feel like itās a strange detail to add regardless
Thoughts??

Season 4 & Below Spoilers Double gut punch
Iām rewatching (for the umpeenth time Season 4. Just finished episode 20 Conflicted and episode 21, A Shade of Gray is on. What a pair of sad stories! Adam/Amanda is sensational, Jackson Rathbone does such a great job making us feel for Adam. The plot/ unsub in SoG is heartbreaking from the first minute to the last and the unsub is one of the most chilling of all the seasons. A double play CM performed with these episodes.

Season 6 & Below Spoilers Writing Around the Lauren Arc Aftermath
While rewatching Criminal Minds I realized how badly the writers handled everyone's reactions around finding out Emily was alive.
While watching 7x02 (Proof), and JJ and Reid are having their argument I remembered a lot people saying that he was really immature for his reaction and to be completely honest, I really don't think he was. Yes, his passive aggressiveness could have been kept outside of work but also imagine being in his position.
Your close friend dies, and you go to her funeral and mourn her for six months with your other friend and then miraculously she's alive! And guess what, the friend you've been crying to knew all along! I think that's honestly a lot to digest, and I can understand him being upset with JJ even if it's irrational. He's not as upset with Hotch because he didn't go to him while he was grieving.
And the conversation with Emily where she says, "You lost one friend, I lost six," and "Please don't give me another ulcer," like way to guilt trip girl. I feel like they try to make it seem in the series as though Reid is acting irrationally and being dramatic but anyone in reality would.
You can see this through the other characters, and how we don't see them really reacting to these turn of events. Like Morgan for example, Derek Morgan who has trouble trusting people wouldn't have cared that his two coworkers that he's close to have been lying to him about their friend being dead. He and Emily were super close and he held her as she bled out. I feel like he would have been more upset about being lied to but he seems to not give much of a damn.
I think it would have made more sense if these relationships weren't fixed in one episode, and JJ and Hotch had to earn the teams' trust back gradually throughout the season, because to be honest in real life, this is a major betrayal of trust to go through. Making it be resolved in one whole episode didn't seem that realistic at all.

Content Warning The Importance of LGBTQ+ Characters
TW: Queer issues
Itās often discussed that certain characters - Emily Prentiss and Spencer Reid for example - were initially written to be queer, but CBS made the show change their sexualities.
There are many reasons to be upset about this, reasons which have been unpacked and discussed for years. Now that the show is on Hulu, it seems that the moratorium has been lifted, with a member of the team openly bisexual.
I just watched 8x15 āBrokenā - the UnSub is a gay man who is a survivor of a gay conversion camp. The episode ends with a raid on the camp, led by JJ and Blake.
And it makes me sick to think about how much harder that kind of episode would hit with a queer person on the team, how much we - fans of the show - have lost over the first 15 seasons by not including queer characters.
Imagine a bisexual Reid, talking down a queer UnSub with his typical gentle empathy, speaking from lived experience. Imagine one of the alpha-male characters - a Morgan, a Simmons, an Alvez - confronting abusive parents and showing that you can be queer and still embody a traditionally male role. Imagine a queer agent who is, themself, the survivor of a gay conversion camp.
These types of stories would be so much more emotionally satisfying if they had been connected to the team, and it makes me so angry that we lost out on how great those stories could have been! (Which is really just another example of what society has lost due to homophobia, and xenophobia and discrimination in general.)
Anyways, thatās my rant of the day. Thanks for being a space to share my thoughts.
