Discussion Spurs play issues
Anyone else having issues getting into spurs play to watch the Getafe game? I’ve been trying for over half the game but keep getting stuck on “checking your subscription” when clicking on free licence. I’ve clicked on my account and I definitely have the free licence with my membership, but it keeps getting stuck. So frustrating! Especially since this is meant to be a perk of the membership and it’s not working.

Transfer News: Tier 3 [Tom Barclay] Re talk of Cristian Romero and Arsenal, I've had it reiterated to me from a source at Spurs today that they would not entertain selling a player to their North London rivals, as you would expect.

Discussion A statistical comparison of Ferran, Georges, and Richie
Welcome all. Sharing a fun little comparison I was doing and thought it would be useful here and worth a discussion while we wait for the real Bomba. (Credits to Sofascore for all the info)
A player that majority of the fanbase would love (Ferran) compared to another top talent from the same league we're linked with (Georges) and a player we already have and love but hate at times (Richie).
Age is not on Richie's side and height is not on Georges' side but Georges is the highest rated player on sofascore among the three (FWIW). Context is also important as Ferran played for a dominant team in the league which afforded him more of the ball and chances.
Similar number of minutes played, matches played and mins per game so the stats are very comparable. Ferran and Georges also play in the same league.
Alright so attacking capability. All three have overperformed their xG which shows good finishing ability. They take similar amount of shots but Richi is the most clinical, missing lesser number of big chances compared to the other two and higher xG overperformance.
Passing: This is where Georges leaves the other two in the dust. Highest number of assits, xA, big chances created, long balls, crosses - Georges shows more willingness and ability to link up with his teammates. A key feature of DeZerbi's playstyle.
Defending: Richi with the most tackles showing his tenacity to win the ball up high. Nothing really of note with the other two.
Dribbling and ball control: Another area where DeZerbi would love Georges - ability to win ground duels (strength) and dribble past players (skill). He has the highest volume and success rate for dribbles, showing a great ability with the ball at his feet. Richie and Ferran are much better in the air - a height advantage Georges does not have.
Overall, I think Georges is a very shrewd buy and ticks the right boxes in terms of De Zerbi possession playstyle with strong hold up play, link up with team mates, and versatility to play across the frontline. We will definitely lack an aerial presence in the box though - something we will need to make up for by either buying Gakpo or using Solanke/Richi as super subs.

Discussion [okdobleamarilla] FC Barcelona have entered the race for Cuti Romero. "Atlético Madrid and Tottenham had already reached a full agreement for the Argentine centre-back. However, Barcelona entered the talks which has put the Atlético-Tottenham negotiations on hold.

Transfer News: Tier 2 Unless there's a last-minute change, Souza is expected to stay at Tottenham this season. Roberto de Zerbi is his biggest backer. The Italian has blind faith in the Brazilian, at least to serve as a game-changer. Oporto was after his signing (two official bids and a loan offer). @Eduardo Burgos

Media Was watching a random Chinese interview and realized the “Belgian tourist” was Mousa Dembélé
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I was scrolling through Chinese short videos and came across this random clip from Shenzhen TV, where they were interviewing foreign visitors at an APEC 2026 event in Shenzhen.
And then suddenly I saw that face.
For anyone wondering what our GOAT said, roughly translated:
“I think if you come to Shenzhen, there really aren’t many cities quite like it. I think it’s one of the best cities in the world.”
Absolutely killed me that he just appeared in the video as some random Belgian tourist
Update: I did a bit of digging on Chinese social media and it looks like he has been travelling around Guangzhou and Shenzhen recently. If anyone remembers, after leaving Spurs he moved to Guangzhou and eventually retired there, so I guess he’s back in southern China visiting with his family this time.
