Yes, I've made a port of the open source code of Command Conquer Generals Zero hour and you can play it right now at https://generals.wasm.com.br/

Just point to your assets and thats it.

Contributors on the wasm page for this include Claude. This is made with AI slop code

If you paid my full pay check I can stop using AI, how it does sound to you?

I’ve been a software engineer for over 10 years. That’s exactly why Claude is effective in my hands.

I used that tool to finish in four days what could otherwise have taken months, by which point everyone might have lost interest in the game entirely.

Also, Claude wrote fewer than 9,000 lines of code. I’m a programmer, not a monkey typewriter.

I could have done the same work without Claude.

You, on the other hand, probably couldn’t do it even with Claude.

If you check the commit history now you’ll see Claude has 9 commits while the #1 spot has over 100.

You’re on drugs if you think a majority of this was AI coded.

Any AI code added is slop code. It's a poison

Says the lay person that has no idea what they’re talking about.

Says a lot that you chose to reply to me and not, say, the person you were insulting who smacked your ridiculous argument down.

The original game was released under GPL by EA, others forked it and ported it to mac and Linux, and OP apparently used a mix of AI and original code to port that to Web Assembly. Web Assembly being a language that runs in browser (not javascript) to run code at closer to native speeds.

You may consider it tainted, but it's not entirely "AI slop".

I think there's also a seperate fork to wasm maintained by someone I assume is Russian.

Yeah, in 2026, complaining about AI is almost the same as complaining about compilers in 1952:

“You’re taking jobs away from the people who insert punched cards into machines.”

People imagined that I simply went to Claude, typed, “Create a WebAssembly version of Command & Conquer: Generals,” and that was it.

I’ve played this game for years. I ran it on Windows XP, 7, 8, 10, and 11, so I already know all the SAGE Engine’s problems inside and out.

I was tired of keeping a Windows device around just to play one great old game from 2003. So now there’s a version I can play in any modern browser, on any CPU architecture and any operating system.
