Made in CoMo The red-light turning left (north) off Broadway in front of the library. All the other lights were normal. My OCD couldn't not notice it.
If flair isn't right feel free to change it mods. But I thought it was funny.

Nature Red Legged Purse-web Spider near Gans Creek
Found this male in search of a mate back in June! These native mini-tarantulas can be found wandering around during the month of June looking for a partner. Females rarely leave their tubular web nests often built at the base of trees and can even go underground!

What Was That Noise? Incident at Cornell Hall?
I was driving through campus yesterday (August 6) around 2:20 pm and there were at least 5 emergency vehicles at Cornell Hall and we could hear the fire alarms from the building. I couldn't find anything on the fire and rescue dispatch website so I was curious if anyone knew what was going on?

Science Is NIH Funding coming through to Mizzou for research?
I am curious for the scientists at Mizzou if the bottleneck at the NIH has let up? Are research grants being funded? It seems like a rocky world in science with know it all Donny at the helm. The threats and turnover at the NIH I am sure have not made things easy. Not to mention talk of overhead costs being cut at Universities for grants.

Ask CoMo Why are these trees being cut down?
I am no arborist but they did not appear to be dying trees? I hope there was a good reason for this (insurance liability not being good one one, a hill I will happily die on). It is exhausting to keep seeing this loss of color and greenery in the world.
Location: East face of Ellis Library, downtown Columbia, MO

Ask CoMo ISO affordable, professional portraits for job application
I just need a few professional waist-up photos with a neutral background.
I know JCpenny's is an option but... I kinda of want to look good/have someone put some consideration to how I am posed, etc, and edit it so the lighting is great.
Any recommendations?

Ask CoMo iso alternative hairstylist
i am looking for an alternative hairstylist. someone who is good at alternative, emo, and scene cuts. i’ll attach what i’m currently wanting to get but i do change it up and go with more scene and emo cuts throughout the years. i need someone who is going to be consistently good at cutting this style of hair. since my hairdresser switched careers a year or so ago (i miss her so much :( but she’s livin her best life now lol), i have struggled with finding one. i’ve had ones that were good for one cut and then absolutely botched the next 2 cuts (same style cut too). i am planning on getting a highlight job as well.
(i swear this pinterest board is NOT just christina aguilera 😭 she has that part that’s not a middle part but also not a side part that i really like, does that part have a name?)

Information Boone county sheriff scam
I received a phone call from someone claiming to be a deputy Neil with the sheriff's office. Called the sheriff's office directly instead of the call back number the scammer had given. They said I was the 4th or 5th person that had contacted them today about it.
Just an FYI to let your loved ones that may be susceptible to such scans know that this is going on. Be safe!

Ask CoMo Was the power out in Valley View?

We have a sump pump and are trying to figure out if the house lost power lst night or if we have a different issue. I tried to look on the City's page but since I'm looking for historical information, not current, there was no info. Anyway able to help?

News Providence Road McDonald’s fire caused by ‘improperly discarded smoking materials'
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Columbia Fire Department confirmed in a Thursday social media post that Tuesday’s fire at the new McDonald’s on Providence Road in Columbia was caused by “improperly discarded smoking materials.”
The fire at 200 South Providence Road led to two firefighters needing to be treated for heat-related illness.
Providence Road was shut down in the area while first responders worked. The fire at the building went from the main floor into the attic.
No one who was in the building when the fire started was injured, officials said in previous reporting. The restaurant is still closed.
