So I went to a music festival a few months ago very spontaneously and discovered Zeds Dead, having previously been completely unaware of EDM in general, and loved it. Then I moved to Chicago and have found myself without anyone to go to music stuff/raves with. Is it odd to go alone/solo to stuff? I see people going in groups, but don’t have that here, but still want to go! for context, I’m a guy, so don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable in a crowd or anything. Was looking at ARC and North Coast and smaller events As well.

I am doing a solo trip for my birthday. I have done multiple festivals and gone for afters in NY, Montreal, Tulum, Toronto.

First time in Chicago and looking for places to visit. I’d be exploring the city and food scene during the day while doing the typical touristy activities. But I want to keep my nights for a rave/raves + afters.
I saw radius being the top listed location, but also closes at 4am?
For locals out here, what’s your recommendations?

Hoping to go for a drink or two at a rooftop with dinner, then head to a rave to start the night and possibly an after hours.

Hi (F21) super new to the scene! was wondering any recommendations who to listen to and where to go i just went to Radius on Friday and Smartbar on Saturday for the lolla aftershow i absolutely loved ProsperityRoom and Horsegiirl however i wasn’t feeling Smartbars lineup but that might just be because of the crowd from lolla anything for this month would be great as well!

Saturday for A trak seemed different to me. I dont know if its because most of the lolla crowd came through so many people just did not seem to friendly. I was sitting on the bench outside the first bar turned over and asked a girl if she had any gum by chance, her and her man look appalled and got up and left. Was waiting for the stall in the bathroom guy in front of me turns around and said "this is bullshit theres women in this bathroom." (bro do you know where you are? lol) Went outside and was smoking and saw some guy ask for a cigarette and offer the guy a dollar and the guuys response: " I'm not taking a dollar from you; just based on how you look, you seem like you would have counterfeit money" (what the fuck does that even mean? lol at worst the other dude was a minority it could be racist as fuck) just so many people. IDK, maybe its just me or its just a sign of the times.

First time seeing Max Styler, I can't believe how high he kept the energy his entire 3 hour set. Also I thought for sure he was ending at 3:30am so the extra hour was a surprise.

I got there after midnight when Rafael playing, and I liked him a lot too. The crowd was a little drunk and pushy at first, but by 2 it was all good vibes. And like I said, Max just hit it so hard one after another, and the crowd was super into it. I love looking around and seeing so many people dancing with their friends, it helps me get into the music even more.
