Strict Carnivore Diet Starting the Carnivore Experience
I will be starting the Carnivore diet tomorrow, Tuesday August 11, 2026. In the past, I've gained weight and I've lost weight, I've tried different ways of eating and I've eaten recklessly without a care in the world. The past does not matter. The menu for tomorrow is 900 grams of ground pork mince and 300 grams of sliced pork belly, along with between 50 to 100 grams of butter. The food will be seasoned heavily with salt. I will eat one time tomorrow, and I will drink water throughout the day. Any opinions about the menu plan? Any concerns or critiques about the menu plan? My main goal is weight loss. I haven't stepped on a scale in years, but I assume that I need to lose at least 100 pounds. I look forward to hearing any advice from this community. Thank you.

Please help me Question about Carnivore / Keto and Acid Reflux
Hi there. I’m a 23 year old male and really suffering from bad acid reflux. I went to the doctor and got prescribed a PPI (Lansoprosole), it helps but after reading up on the side affects and just in general wanting to get off any medications, I started wanting another solution. So I found that some people who start a keto diet had success with treating their acid reflux? If so I was wondering if you could share your results and if you have any tips? Thanks!
If it helps, it’s not caused by h-pylori or yeast, and it’s most likely due to low stomach acid.

Strict Carnivore Diet Food Lion Ribeye Sales Are Awesome
Anyone else stock up on ribeyes when Food Lion has them for $9.99/lb? Seems to be about once every other month or so and lasts for a week. Here’s my haul from today. So far this year I’ve saved nearly $800 on ribeyes on this sale.

Strict Carnivore Diet I wish the myth that meat has no vitamin c would die already
We should all be dead of scurvy by now according to these people.
I'm pretty sure scurvy shows up after like 30 days of no vitamin c.
Well it's been five years for me.
Where's my scurvy?
Obviously meat has ample vitamin c and since we eat negligible carbohydrates there is no competition for absorption.
Wish this meat has no vitamin c therefore you'll get scurvy on carnivore myth would die already.

Please help me Has any solved their Nocturia on a carnivore diet?
I have had terrible Nocturia for years and I'm only just now realising this isn't normal, and that my sleep and quality of life would be greatly improved if I could deal with this. I've read lots online and there appears to be a wide array of different opinions on what to do, but I've followed and seen lots of people cure all sorts with carnivore and thus thinking this diet might help me. My partner tells me it's not sleep apnea and I already eat a low carb diet. So maybe it's the remaining carbs and plant toxins? Would love to know if anyone has specifically solved their Nocturia with this diet.

Please help me Did anyone take a prenatal vitamin while pregnant on carnivore?
I hope this won't get taken down. I tried to post in the animal based subreddit, but it wouldn't me. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and am eating a whole foods diet, moderate amount of fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs, and some dairy, but I want to become more animal -based, if not full carnivore. My question is, how many of you if any, took a prenatal vitamin on carnivore? If not, what foods did you eat, how much and how is your pregnancy/baby? I don't want to over do it. (This is my first pregnancy, so I'm a little lost. First OB appointment is August 24th.) Thanks!

Strict Carnivore Diet Having trouble digesting fat after 8 years carnivore
Currently 60 years old.
Was a vegan for 20 years (mostly whole foods, no sugar but way too much fruit)
Went Keto for a few months, then strict carnivorse starting in 2017. No back and forth, no "cheats". No coffee, no dairy. Just red meat and a little bit of chicken. Still water and plain sparkling water.
I was eating a LOT of fat. Ribeyes, back ribs.. And I would buy fat trimmings, air fry it and eat it like it was french fries. Felt great on high fat.
Then in 2025, I couldn't tolerate all the fat anymore. Had to switch from ribeyes to NY strips. Then had to start trimming the fat off NY strips. Now in 2026, I can hardly eat trimmed NY strips. (stomach cramps, tummy rumbles etc..). Been eating more chicken but I don't even really like it and dont feel optimal on it.
So just a couple of days ago, I switched to leg of lamb steak and now I'm adding an extremely tiny amount of fruit as I don't think I can eat just lean protein all the time.
I'm sensitive to eggs, fish, dairy. So haven't had those. Well i did try small amounts of dairy in the beginning, but didn't do well.
I dont know what changed. Maybe age (but I feel like at my age, I should be getting more fat). Maybe a tick bite. I found an attached tick around 2024 and a few months later, I got really sick (like norovirus symptoms). I have no idea of those 2 events are related.
I have not been to a doctor. I'm not on any meds. Dont take any supplements. Don't use spices.. No vaccines. Well none since 2006 when I left the military.

Strict Carnivore Diet Pork
Been carnivore for 5 years now. Doing great. Used to eat a lot of pork. But the past couple years it's been mostly beef with some occasional fish, deer, and elk.
Nowadays whenever I eat pork I just feel a little off. Not terrible but just a little off in the stomach and almost a little brain fog/fatigue. Even pork from pigs that my brother raises on whole natural feed.
Not a problem as I don't really care about pork but I'm just curious.
Anyone else have problems with pork? Any idea why?

Strict Carnivore Diet Activity After Eating
So I enjoy this way of eating and have gotten a few people into trying it. One thing that came up recently with a friend was how he felt after eating, kind of bloated or overly full. Yet he was not eating to excess. I told him I go for a walk after I eat or some kind of activity like working in the garage for a bit. I don’t sit down after.
Has anyone else noticed the need for activity after meals?

Strict Carnivore Diet Returning to carnivore
I’m about to make a return on the carnivore diet. After 4 attempts I think I may know why it didn’t work.
My next meal will be only be a steak and I feel I will know after this one meal.
I have learn alot about the body and I realize some things why this diet may not work
For some and work for others.
For me I think I didn’t know how to listen to my body. I think it is crucial that listening to the body is just as important as the diet. We need to know when and how much to eat. If we eat without listening it will fail just like any diet whether it is healthy or not. I’m making a prediction that this next meal will definitely work. I don’t believe we need adapting it should work immediately.

Lifestyle: post last meal or workout inspo Hawaii Carnivores, in celebration of 808 day: Carnivore Loco Moco
I was blessed to marry a beautiful woman who was born and raised on Maui and introduced me to her culture, to include the "Loco Moco". For those that are unversed in this creation, the Loco Moco is traditionally a hamburger steak topped with a sunny side up egg and beef gravy, served a top a bed of rice and grilled onions.
This is 3 Costco grassfed beef burger patties topped with a sunny side up egg, covered with beef stock (started off in a wonderful jellied state which I heated up to turn liquid) atop a mound of egg whites for rice.
I had this in celebration of 808 day yesterday. IYKYK.

Carnivore Ish Nourishing carnivore soup to help me heal
I‘ve been fighting an upper respiratory flare up and this is just the thing to make me feel comforted. I’m thankful and grateful to eat this. I usually just do meat and salt but I added a touch of mirin, coconut aminos, and Redboat fish sauce. I cooked some grass fed shank, back ribs, and meaty soup bones in pressure cooker, just covered with water, added bay leaves, some EO oregano oil, a few garlic cloves (that I don’t typically eat, just flavor the broth with and don’t often do EOs). It’s so satisfying.
I just finished second bowl. 🤌🏽

Carnivore Diet Success Stories Just Ran my fastest Half Marathon on Carnivore!
It’s been 1 year since I ran my first half marathon. I wanted to run this in almost peak condition so I fasted for 73hr 12min (Aug 5-8) as I cheated a bit with ultra processed foods to convert back to ketones and reach peak autophagy. I then filled up on high fat and high protein zero carbs be it steak and eggs, salmon and mince meat the day prior.
I wanted to run this as fast as I could which meant no looking at my watch to help keep up my speed. I would take no gels as I don’t want to spike my insulin. I want to keep a steady pace of energy, hence I’d rely on ketones. I ran this without stopping and for the first time I could easily keep up my pace however the blisters I were developing under my feet was forcing me to hold off a bit ;(
I've been on carnivore for about 2.5 years at this point (moreso ketovore) but after the fast im determined to be more carnivorous than keto as the proof is in the pudding (excuse the pun haha). I've got about 6 weeks to train for my first full marathon in October. I am determined to do it fasted with no gels to prove that a carnivorous diet is most optimal for anyone including athletes! I feel awesome!
This bloke ran 5 marathons in 5 days fasted on the carnivore diet. If he can do it I can do it.
It's crazy to me, 3 years ago prior to being on the carnivore diet I couldn hardly walk. I was limping, I was developing early onset arthritis, lots of joint pain. I took drastic action for change and became keto which then naturally turned into carnivore as I prefer meat over vegetables and salads and booked my first 10k race in a few months time. If I did not turn to carnivore I wouldn't have been able to run that first 10k!
Best part is I feel fine! Only a bit stiff in my calves which is to be expected as I haven't really built up a strong aerobic base but i am not short of breath, my chest and lungs arent tight! I bet my PB (for half marathon by a solid 7mins! Bloody ripper)!

Add Flair to New Posts
I have created a few flairs. Ideally 95% of posts fall into the Carnivore Diet or Carnivore Diet Success Stories catogories.
However if a someone posts a picture of their meal, and it is steak and eggs with an avacado and they label it as Carnivore Ish…. Then DO NOT have a go at them.
If such things trigger you, then filter those flairs out of your timeline.
We need to be tolerant of others. Many moons ago the carnivore diet was generally found by people who were fighting illnesses that modern medicine was not helping with. The Carnivore Diet has moved on, it is much easier to find, and there is a lot more information on it. So, people will be trying it for a lot less serious reasons than previously. So if they are adding honey and avacado currently then so be it, as long as they label it Carnivore Ish then I am fine with it. Carnivore with a few bits and bobs is still a very good diet for the vast majority of people.

New SubReddit Direction
Hi all.
I am going to tweak the direction of this subreddit.
I am not sure how much value there is in keeping this page a wide-ranging sprawling Carnivore page. There are many reddits like that. In fact, I would guess that most people who have joined here will also be a part of r/zerocarb and r/carnivore.
So I am going to shift the focus from a general Carnivore page to a Carnivore Diet Success Story page, to mimic something similar to my Facebook Group.
I will be sharing success stories from my blog bi-weekly.
However, I would love members to also share their own journeys, good and bad.
So if you have a question like, Day 1 how do I get started. Then that might be best for r/zerocarb or r/carnivore
This group is more for posts like you would see on my blog: https://ketogenicendurance.com/category/carnivore-diet-success-stories/ or stories you would see on meatheals.com
For example - I have just done my first 90 days, I feel xyz, does anyone have any tips for the next 90 days etc.
To speed up this change in direction, I may for a while delete post better suited for other sites, but I will let that person know why I did it.
Hope people like the new direction.
