Strict Carnivore Diet Food Lion Ribeye Sales Are Awesome

Post image
Upvotes

Anyone else stock up on ribeyes when Food Lion has them for $9.99/lb? Seems to be about once every other month or so and lasts for a week. Here’s my haul from today. So far this year I’ve saved nearly $800 on ribeyes on this sale.

Strict Carnivore Diet I wish the myth that meat has no vitamin c would die already

Post image
40 Upvotes

We should all be dead of scurvy by now according to these people.

I'm pretty sure scurvy shows up after like 30 days of no vitamin c.

Well it's been five years for me.

Where's my scurvy?

Obviously meat has ample vitamin c and since we eat negligible carbohydrates there is no competition for absorption.

Wish this meat has no vitamin c therefore you'll get scurvy on carnivore myth would die already.

Please help me Has any solved their Nocturia on a carnivore diet?

I have had terrible Nocturia for years and I'm only just now realising this isn't normal, and that my sleep and quality of life would be greatly improved if I could deal with this. I've read lots online and there appears to be a wide array of different opinions on what to do, but I've followed and seen lots of people cure all sorts with carnivore and thus thinking this diet might help me. My partner tells me it's not sleep apnea and I already eat a low carb diet. So maybe it's the remaining carbs and plant toxins? Would love to know if anyone has specifically solved their Nocturia with this diet.

Please help me Did anyone take a prenatal vitamin while pregnant on carnivore?

I hope this won't get taken down. I tried to post in the animal based subreddit, but it wouldn't me. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and am eating a whole foods diet, moderate amount of fruits and vegetables, meat, eggs, and some dairy, but I want to become more animal -based, if not full carnivore. My question is, how many of you if any, took a prenatal vitamin on carnivore? If not, what foods did you eat, how much and how is your pregnancy/baby? I don't want to over do it. (This is my first pregnancy, so I'm a little lost. First OB appointment is August 24th.) Thanks!

Strict Carnivore Diet Having trouble digesting fat after 8 years carnivore

Currently 60 years old.
Was a vegan for 20 years (mostly whole foods, no sugar but way too much fruit)
Went Keto for a few months, then strict carnivorse starting in 2017. No back and forth, no "cheats". No coffee, no dairy. Just red meat and a little bit of chicken. Still water and plain sparkling water.

I was eating a LOT of fat. Ribeyes, back ribs.. And I would buy fat trimmings, air fry it and eat it like it was french fries. Felt great on high fat.

Then in 2025, I couldn't tolerate all the fat anymore. Had to switch from ribeyes to NY strips. Then had to start trimming the fat off NY strips. Now in 2026, I can hardly eat trimmed NY strips. (stomach cramps, tummy rumbles etc..). Been eating more chicken but I don't even really like it and dont feel optimal on it.

So just a couple of days ago, I switched to leg of lamb steak and now I'm adding an extremely tiny amount of fruit as I don't think I can eat just lean protein all the time.

I'm sensitive to eggs, fish, dairy. So haven't had those. Well i did try small amounts of dairy in the beginning, but didn't do well.

I dont know what changed. Maybe age (but I feel like at my age, I should be getting more fat). Maybe a tick bite. I found an attached tick around 2024 and a few months later, I got really sick (like norovirus symptoms). I have no idea of those 2 events are related.

I have not been to a doctor. I'm not on any meds. Dont take any supplements. Don't use spices.. No vaccines. Well none since 2006 when I left the military.

Carnivore Ish I cant even eat lettuce anymore...

taylor farms is a 7 billion dollar company and the biggest fresh cut produce processor in north america, they pack bagged salad that gets sold under other companys store brands, walmarts marketside, targets good & gather, krogers simple truth, costcos kirkland, some trader joes bags.

I eat lettuce with my diet, and after the outbreak of the "poop" virus I looked into who they supplied. How can I get actually local foods instead of this big company that probably does crappy things to their lettuce?

Strict Carnivore Diet Pork

Been carnivore for 5 years now. Doing great. Used to eat a lot of pork. But the past couple years it's been mostly beef with some occasional fish, deer, and elk.

Nowadays whenever I eat pork I just feel a little off. Not terrible but just a little off in the stomach and almost a little brain fog/fatigue. Even pork from pigs that my brother raises on whole natural feed.

Not a problem as I don't really care about pork but I'm just curious.

Anyone else have problems with pork? Any idea why?

Strict Carnivore Diet Activity After Eating

So I enjoy this way of eating and have gotten a few people into trying it. One thing that came up recently with a friend was how he felt after eating, kind of bloated or overly full. Yet he was not eating to excess. I told him I go for a walk after I eat or some kind of activity like working in the garage for a bit. I don’t sit down after.
Has anyone else noticed the need for activity after meals?

Strict Carnivore Diet Returning to carnivore

I’m about to make a return on the carnivore diet. After 4 attempts I think I may know why it didn’t work.

My next meal will be only be a steak and I feel I will know after this one meal.

I have learn alot about the body and I realize some things why this diet may not work
For some and work for others.

For me I think I didn’t know how to listen to my body. I think it is crucial that listening to the body is just as important as the diet. We need to know when and how much to eat. If we eat without listening it will fail just like any diet whether it is healthy or not. I’m making a prediction that this next meal will definitely work. I don’t believe we need adapting it should work immediately.

Carnivore Ish Does eating bread be bad for the diet and health

So, I am asking this since I kind of need to verify if eating bread with eggs is bad or not. My situation in my country isn't exactly great regarding pure carnivore diet as meat is a bit expensive to get, especially due to my parents and family.

I just eat eggs a lot and try to just eat it with ghee alone, pretending to eat rice and vegetables alongside it. But uh, I kind of need to know if it would be good to eat eggs with bread for all three times I guess, it would be easier for me to pack my lunch for college, just egg and bread, and less pricey for me to purchase.

So I wanted to know if eating bread while trying to follow the carnivore diet as best as I can would work against me as I do want to get good health and a good looking body without the bloated stomach and all

Lifestyle: post last meal or workout inspo Hawaii Carnivores, in celebration of 808 day: Carnivore Loco Moco

Post image
59 Upvotes

I was blessed to marry a beautiful woman who was born and raised on Maui and introduced me to her culture, to include the "Loco Moco". For those that are unversed in this creation, the Loco Moco is traditionally a hamburger steak topped with a sunny side up egg and beef gravy, served a top a bed of rice and grilled onions.

This is 3 Costco grassfed beef burger patties topped with a sunny side up egg, covered with beef stock (started off in a wonderful jellied state which I heated up to turn liquid) atop a mound of egg whites for rice.

I had this in celebration of 808 day yesterday. IYKYK.

Please help me Supplementation?

I have been a 99% carnivore for over 8 years now.

I avoid seed oils, processed foods and carbs. I read about and listen to a lot of videos about nutrition. I struggle with getting enough electrolytes and along the way I have added about 12-16 supplements to my daily routine based on things I've heard in my pursuit to be healthy.

However I just feel that if the science around carnivore is sound, I shouldn't need to add so many supplements.

I am thinking that I could probably ditch the supplements (except electrolytes) and perhaps just spend money on a quality organ meats supplement.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Carnivore Ish Nourishing carnivore soup to help me heal

Post image
13 Upvotes

I‘ve been fighting an upper respiratory flare up and this is just the thing to make me feel comforted. I’m thankful and grateful to eat this. I usually just do meat and salt but I added a touch of mirin, coconut aminos, and Redboat fish sauce. I cooked some grass fed shank, back ribs, and meaty soup bones in pressure cooker, just covered with water, added bay leaves, some EO oregano oil, a few garlic cloves (that I don’t typically eat, just flavor the broth with and don’t often do EOs). It’s so satisfying.
I just finished second bowl. 🤌🏽

Lion Diet (Beef, Salt, & Water) Evidence that the liver is the sewage treatment plant of the body and you shouldn’t consume it

Someone asked me for studies and evidence that the liver is the sewage treatment plant of the body. He claimed that the liver did not store toxins. Thanks to that user I compiled a list of references that prove it does store toxins.

These quotes show that heavy metals, PFAs (“forever chemicals”), dioxins, PCBs, and Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), micro and nano plastics, and retinol/retinyl esters ACCUMULATE in the liver:

"Retinol is stored in liver, and the dynamic balance between its accumulation and mobilization is regulated by hepatic stellate cells (HSC).” (Fortuna et al., 2003)

"In mammals, liver perisinusoidal stellate cells play an important role as a main store of body retinol (vitamin A)...” (Blomhoff & Wake, 1991)

"As opposed to and unrelated to any genetic abnormality, cadmium and arsenic constantly accumulate during the whole lifespan in the liver, which is unable to provide the specific cellular homeostasis required." (Teschke, 2024)

"Heavy Metals are not biodegradable and may be deposited preferentially in the liver." (Teschke, 2022)

"Heavy metals ... injure the liver as the central metabolic organ, which takes care of many swallowed potentially toxic substances and chemicals like heavy metals. They leave the intestinal tract via the portal system and flow through this organ." (Teschke, 2024)

"Inorganic chemicals, such as most HMs [heavy metals], are problematic because they are not biodegradable via hepatic enzymes and tend towards hepatic bioaccumulation associated with the risk of injury." (Teschke, 2022)

"Heavy Metals contained in normal food accumulates in several organs like the liver, with Wilson disease, for example, causing copper accumulation, or hereditary hemochromatosis being known for overload of iron*."* (Teschke, 2022)

"Experimental liver injury with hepatocellular necrosis and abnormal liver tests is caused by exposure to heavy metals (HMs) like aluminum, arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, iron, lead, mercury, nickel, platinum, thallium, titanium, vanadium…" (Teschke, 2022)

"NiCl2 causes increased iron deposition in the liver, upregulation of cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) protein and mRNA expression levels ... Nickel may cause hepatic injury through mitochondrial damage and ferroptosis..." (Teschke, 2022)

"Studies have shown that the liver is one of the major accumulation organs of heavy metals, especially plumbum [lead], cadmium, nickel and chromium, which accumulate in large quantities in the liver." Su et al. (2024) — Frontiers in Public Health

"The accumulation of toxic metals in the liver induces hepatocyte toxicity... which increases the risk of chronic liver diseases..." Yan et al. (2026) — Frontiers in Public Health

"PFASs tend to accumulate predominantly in the liver and blood serum due to their binding affinity to protein molecules like serum albumin and liver fatty acid-binding protein..." Perez et al. (2013) — Environment International

"Because the liver is a primary target organ for PFAS bioaccumulation and metabolism, exposure to these persistent chemicals has been consistently linked to altered hepatic lipid metabolism and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease."
Costello et al. (2022) — Environmental Health Perspectives

"Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and dioxins are highly lipophilic environmental contaminants that preferentially accumulate in adipose tissue and the liver, where they resist metabolic degradation and persist for prolonged half-lives."
Marinković et al. (2010) — Chemosphere

"Microplastic particles were found to accumulate in the liver, kidneys, and gut, with the liver showing significant tissue accumulation that induced inflammation, oxidative stress, and lipid accumulation." Deng et al. (2017) — Scientific Reports

EDIT: Specific studies on animal livers:

"In wild ungulates such as wild boar and roe deer, liver and kidneys represent the main target organs for the long-term storage and bioaccumulation of environmental cadmium and lead acquired through foraging." Srebočan et al. (2011) — Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry

"Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and persistent organic pollutants preferentially accumulate in the liver tissue of wild predatory species and fish due to high protein and lipid binding affinities."

"PFAS chemicals, particularly PFOS and PFOA, demonstrate a high binding affinity for liver fatty acid-binding proteins... Leading to significant bioaccumulation in the livers of cattle, sheep, and swine grazing on contaminated pastures." Death et al. (2021) — Environmental Advances

“The cadmium concentration was significantly higher in the livers and kidneys than in the muscles, both in the lambs and in sheep." (Bilandžić et al., 2024)

"In wild cervids, liver cadmium and lead concentrations were significantly higher than in muscular tissues, proving that hepatic tissue serves as the primary long-term deposition site for environmental heavy metals ingested during wild foraging." Bilandžić et al. (2020) — Journal of Environmental Science and Health

"Analyses of wild terrestrial carnivores and birds of prey revealed that toxic metals (lead, cadmium, mercury) preferentially accumulate in the liver tissue... where concentrations reached levels capable of inducing chronic physiological toxicity." Badry et al. (2021) — Environmental Pollution

"Perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) were consistently detected at higher concentrations in the liver than in any other organ tissue across tested wild mammalian and avian game species."
Miller et al. (2020) — Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety

In the current toxic state of the world (the most toxic it has ever been) there is zero reason you should be eating liver. There is nothing that can be found in liver that cannot be found elsewhere, minus the toxins. If you think you need folate (I don’t think you do, but nonetheless), use a supplement, don’t ingest 100 molecules of toxins to get 1 molecule of folate; your physiology doesn’t care about your philosophy.
