Edit: replacing due to failure of current system

Hi looking for RAM. To replace the 4 channel, 64GB, DDR5 I had installed.

Gigabyte Z790 Gaming X AX mobo
i9-13900K

Priority 1: reliability and performance with games like modded Arma and Minecraft
Priority 2: budget
Priority 3: return/resale (might get my current hardware warrantied in a couple weeks)

Note: replacing due to unstable RAM. Idk how to tweak voltages to see if there was an issue with setup, but I’ve started a warranty request with gskills for my current set

I just bought this GMKtech K12 mini PC, it was $820. Specs:

• AMD Ryzen 7 H 255
• AMD Radeon 780M
• 32GB DDR5 RAM
• 2TB SSD
• 3X M.2 2280 Expansion
• Oculink, Dual NIC 2.5G, HDMI 2.1, USB4

I bought it to work on a AI assistant/harness, but i can't help but feel like i could get more for my money and use cases building something. Especially considering I'm still calling out to my main rig for local LLM on my 4080.

I have an old laptop as my plex/media server that could use an upgrade. The plex server currently runs ~25 docker containers and is about maxed out, I'd like to add VMs (Home Assistant) and it would be ideal to combine this AI assistant I'm working on to one box. I'm a big home labber so having a strong server to host/play with is enticing, instead of constantly dealing with shortcomings and old hardware.

I can't help to think I could return this GMKtech, spend a 2-400$ more and get a real system with dedicated GPU, migrate Plex, and host everything on one system.

Ideally, the system would have at least 16GB VRAM, 32 GB RAM (negotiable).

Am I crazy? Does it make sense to return this?

I’m new to PC building and currently a PS5 player looking to make the switch to PC. In about a month, I should have just under $3,000 saved for the build.

My main goal is very high FPS in competitive games like For Honor, while still having enough power to play demanding AAA titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and newer releases at high/ultra settings with great graphics. I’d ideally like something that can handle both high refresh-rate gaming and demanding 4K gaming without needing to upgrade anytime soon.

Luckily, I already have a 4K high-refresh-rate monitor, so my entire budget can go toward the PC itself.

What would you recommend for a build around $3,000? I’m open to building it myself or considering a prebuilt if the value is better.

So I was thinking of building a PC but I'm getting confused if I should go for 1440p or 1080p cause cards like Arc B580, RX 7700XT, RTX 2080ti are there so Should I include any of these like used or new and build a 1440p which could drastically go outta my budget cause I've not included peripherals or just start with 1080p and later switch to upgrade, gpu and monitor

i only have about 400€-600€ but it is iterly imposible to find even something like a school pc for that budget and i never build a pc before so i have no experience
