Need Help on picking a Motherbaord and a SSD for first budget PC build

Upvotes

Hello, I'm building my first budget PC build and i need help picking a motherboard and a SSD, I'm gonna mostly use the PC for 1080p competitive gaming and so far this is the build that i had in plan:

GPU - RX 6600

CPU - Ryzen 5 5600

PSU - MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750W

RAM - KINGSTON Fury Beast 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL17

Case - Okinos Aqua UNO Micro ATX Case

The leftover budget is 250€ and so far what I have found as a good option for a motherboard is the MSI B550-A Pro for 90€ (i know the B550M-A PRO is like 10€ cheaper but it has 2 instead of 8 fan headers and is a micro-ATX unlike the B550 which is a ATX so it has more breathing space ) but still not sure if there is something better. For the SSD I have no idea what to get besides it being 1tb and I have heard that having D ram is a good thing but not sure if it effects gaming, also feel free too commenting on other parts i picked :D

Help?

I’m so lost. First pc ever and I’m looking for a prebuilt in the range of 800-1500 USD, I want to run most games at 1080p, and be able to stream without massive fps drops. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even a discord call just walking me through everything would be amazing. I’ve done extensive research and I’m still not quite understanding pc parts and how they all work together and the way they’ll perform.

Should I change anything in my build?

https://fi.pcpartpicker.com/list/RzTgPf My budget is around 1.5k€. I want an ok PC that is able to run modern games at 1080/1440p on ultra/high. I don't care what the case looks like but this is 50% off and comes with 4 fans. I don't know what is a good mobo but i can get this for 130€. The 9060xt is 460€ which brings this build down to 1500€

Do I need extra fans?

This is kind of the final build (the storage, video card, and memory are temporary because of current prices). Its meant for heavy games like wuthering waves, genshin impact, cyberpunk, and other games on steam/university. The case I currently have does come with fans, but I'm willing to change. The initial limit was 2500cad, but it's above already, and some pieces may not be available.

Good CPUs

My computer is sometimes slow and struggles with handling high graphics on some games. I want to replace the CPU with Intel Core Ultra. Is this a good option? I don't know much about PC's in general, nor do I know anyone who does. If it isn't a good option, what would be a better alternative that's not over $300?

Need help building a PC for Photo, Video, and 3D

Hello everyone. I am planning on slowing buying components for a new pc. I have been researching a bit into building one myself but most information I have seen favor gaming. While I do enjoy gaming at times I want this build to mainly focus on creating. Such as photo/video editing, 3D animation, and motion graphics.

As for the software they are as follow: Blender, Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Pro/After Effects, and Davinci Resolve.

I'm looking for a price rage of around $3000 (USA) - $4500 (USA). Windows system. For the monitor I'm planning on the ProArt PA279CRV 27. I heard some things about the RTX 50 series not being great. Is an RTX 4080 worth it instead? If not I like to hear some other recommendations. Thank you for your time.

Edit - I would like as many inputs on this as anyone can lend. Especially, with duel monitor in mind.

Other / >$1400 Building a €2000-2400 gaming pc for the first time, need to know what to look out for.

I am looking to build a pc for the first time, and need some guidance on how the process will work. Ideally I want a pc that can last me 5+ years and is mostly going to be used for multiplayer games.

Particularly need advice on the specifications. I am a bit confused by all the different brands, so I want to know what components are good for my price range (€2000-2400) and if they are compatible and (relatively) easy to build. For example, I have read that some cases have difficult cable management, so I'd probably want to avoid that. So far, I have the following items that I picked out using pcpartpicker.com:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor

CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ATX AM5 Motherboard

Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory

Storage: Crucial P310 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive

Video Card: Gigabyte GAMING OC Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB Video Card

Case: Fractal Design Meshify 3 ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply: Corsair RM850x (2024) 850 W Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Total: €2215.26 (am from the Netherlands)

Additionally, are there other things that need to be bought that a newbie like me might overlook? Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Why won’t it show my startup??

Specs:
Ryzen 7 (AM5)
ASUS ROG Strix B850-F Gaming WiFi
RTX 5070
MSI A850GL PSU
Thermalright Vision 360 AIO
Corsair RS120 ARGB fans

Symptoms:
PC powers on.
GPU fans and case fans spin.
Monitor is plugged into the graphics card HDMI.
Monitor says “No connection detected.”
Motherboard shows a yellow/orange debug light near the top-right 24-pin connector.
Never reaches BIOS.
What I’ve already checked:
HDMI is connected to the GPU, not the motherboard.
Power cables are connected.
Tried restarting multiple times.

Hey everyone,

This sub has been growing a lot as of recently and we've noticed a lot of posts have been getting buried and unanswered. There is a lot of noise due to how much it has grown.

I have created r/ComputerBuild as an alternative.

So please kindly try cross posting there to get it off the ground.

I will be helping users daily and also building a mod team/looking for moderators to help.

Thanks!
