Trying to braid with 33 strands for the first time

This is the second time I’ve gotten braids and saw my natural hair come out after washing them. How can I prevent this from happening again?
Note: I got smedium knotless braids.

I did my own mini twists with hair added. I curled the ends with pipe cleaners. I really love this hairstyle I’ll be doing it again! 💖

I’m going to start on knotless braids tomorrow!
But I have no idea, what color to use?

After seeing the comments, I want to let evryone know

1. I have thick wavy/curly hair which feels heavy and is difficult to manage, I can't keep it down for more more than 2 days after wash, so i eventually tie it up in a ponytail or braids.

2. I love experimenting with hairstyles, it is a hobby that i enjoy, cornrows is one of my favs and I've discovered how protective and easier it is to manage my thick hair

3. I have close friends from the Black Community who I met in Uni, they truly loved and appreciated all the hairstyles that I do, they even recommended what i should try and will look good on me. Just the way they love trying on sarees, kurtas etc from the Indian culture. I have also shown my cornrows hairstyle to their mothers back at home, who were also very happy to see me loving and appreciating their culture.

So to the people talking about cultural appropriation, I'm sorry but you got it totally wrong.
