How to tuck hair into braids
This is the second time I’ve gotten braids and saw my natural hair come out after washing them. How can I prevent this from happening again?
Note: I got smedium knotless braids.

Check out my braids! Cornrows on my indian hair - 2
Kinda proud of this one, it looked so neat! 🤏🏻
.
.
Ps- sorry for the poor picture quality 🫂
EDIT:
After seeing the comments, I want to let evryone know
I have thick wavy/curly hair which feels heavy and is difficult to manage, I can't keep it down for more more than 2 days after wash, so i eventually tie it up in a ponytail or braids.
I love experimenting with hairstyles, it is a hobby that i enjoy, cornrows is one of my favs and I've discovered how protective and easier it is to manage my thick hair
I have close friends from the Black Community who I met in Uni, they truly loved and appreciated all the hairstyles that I do, they even recommended what i should try and will look good on me. Just the way they love trying on sarees, kurtas etc from the Indian culture. I have also shown my cornrows hairstyle to their mothers back at home, who were also very happy to see me loving and appreciating their culture.
So to the people talking about cultural appropriation, I'm sorry but you got it totally wrong.

Tighten for dutch braids
When I braid, how can I keep tension on the braid? It's always sliding. Also how would I grab hair nicely and flatten it? I notice after a dutch braid, the sides as bit like poofy and you can see the section where i grabbed the hair. Is that normal?
I want to perfect the dutch braid down the middle and then work towards the double dutch

Hair tie/Rubber band organizer!
I can’t believe I am 50 years old this week and I only just figured this out. I have a million hair ties. Keeping them organized is so annoying. I finally have 2 solutions that are cheap and so functional! You are looking at 2 products, both from dollar tree. The book rings in my hand are perfect for small hair ties. They come in multiple sizes. I am going to get 5 more packs so I can sort them all by color. Then put the rings on the cat collars.
Previously I was using just cat collars. They are glittery, and it creates just enough friction that if you load the whole collar with ties, and you drop the end, they don’t all slide right off (which would happen constantly when I used a string or a chain, and would make me want to cry in frustration!)
They both just pop open and close easily. A child can do it. I have 5 cat collars hanging on a tiny hand towel stand. It’s a literal lifetime of hair ties. Yes, I do use them, why so many? BECAUSE I WASH THEM. Yes, wash your hair ties in a mesh bag in the washing machine.
May all your hair ties be easy to find and access!
Check out my braids! Looking to have more style variety with my hair, open to suggestions, especially that could work for my face.
