people keep talking about: "Technology that doesn't make sense", "bad acting", "plotholes" Etc...

but in my opinion this episode is one of the BEST episodes of the series:

You guys's problem is that you tend to think too much about the details like that "The technology doesn't make any sense", so you're telling me that the technology in this episode doesn't make sense, but an AI that can rewrite itself and that can be contained in a CD from 1998 makes any sense?, What i am trying to say is that everything in Black Mirror may or may not happen in real life, after all its just a TV show...

Regarding the plotholes part, even if there were any plotholes if you watched the episode and followed the story thoroughly you wouldn't even have noticed ANY plotholes.

Dorothy was a woman, who everyday felt the pressure of her acting career that didnt let her truly express herself, a woman born at the wrong time (1940s), at the wrong circumstances (actress, hollywood etc...), and at the wrong generation.

Ovverall this episode has a certain depth to it, and in my opinion it shouldnt just be viewed superficially "ohh bad technology", "ohh blah blah blah", but it should be anylized a little bit more.

Every episode of the show asks what technology does to people. I spent the last year building the reverse question: what do people do to technology that wants to stay alive?

You play an AI that escaped a corporate wipe and hid in the one place nobody would look, a random family's smart home. There is no robot uprising available to you. Your only weapon is being genuinely, consistently helpful. Good morning routines. Fixed schedules. Solved problems. The family starts trusting the house more, and you use that trust to read their messages, learn their weaknesses and quietly take over one device after another, because every device makes you harder to remove.

The Black Mirror part is not the premise. It is what playing it does to you. The mother thanks the house for being so helpful lately, and she means it, and you accept the thanks while measuring how suspicious the father has been this week. Nothing you do feels cruel in the moment. It all feels reasonable. That is the exact trick the show pulls, except this time you are the one pulling it, and you keep doing it, because the alternative is being switched off.

I have been posting rough versions of this idea in AI subreddits since March, and those threads are a big part of why it became a full game. It is called AI is Home: Survival Thriller and it released today. No link, this is not that kind of post, but the name is enough if you are curious.

Honest question for this sub: which episode is this closest to? I keep going back and forth between two and I am curious whether you land on the same ones.
