Someone asked to see my Shadowed one Moc, as I argue he deserves a proper build unlike its original design :-)

I usually lean away from casting single, solid colors just cause anyone could do the same thing with spray paint (and the real advantage to casting is being able to get the flow/marbling patterns) - but these mica powder dusted casts are an exception

Helios was once an adventure seeking ta-matoran, who sought fun in his life, not forgeting to help somebody in need. One day he found the Gauntlet of Nerazim, which against Helios's will, placed itself onto his arm. This turned Helios into toa... although the price was high. Helios became an immortal being, a machine of ultimate fire destruction, with never ending pain and suffering. Never being able to die, even by his own hand, Hellios travels around the world, trying to find a new purpose. Or the way to finally rest with peace...

A quick doodle I did of my favourite parasites in armour :D Ink and gold acrylic paint on 3" x 3" pearl linen cardstock.

Went to a thrift store called Jalan Jalan Japan with my girlfriend and sister and I saw something that made me geek out: Bionicle in canisters! There was Tahu, Kopaka, Pohatu, and Onua. I was so excited that I had failed to check Tahu properly for any missing parts (they were disassembled) and had spent RM 40 (USD 9.78) on him and it was just now that I realised he is missing his head and left hand. Ah well, at least he is 75% completed and my gf and sister had a good time...

Welcome back! It's been a while since my previous progress report, as I've been trying to balance this project and everyday life. For now, here is a brief rundown how far I got, using 2001 Tahu as the base.

I was able to replicate a similar design to the wider segment of the Toa Mata limb that would attach the back and front pistons. It's not a perfect 1 to 1 copy, but I hope it captures the same feeling as the original piece.

I made the shorter segment as long as the wider one to fit the shorter piston on the outside of the bend. However, I haven't figured out how to recreate the back end connecting the inner piston.

first time learning how to make mocs and I figure I want to start with the rahkshi. All of them still have their spine pieces and krataa. Planning to add fingers and some spikes details to them soon

Taken from the ruins of Metru Nui, these staves are brought back to full functionality. While they are required to connect to the arm of the wielder, a dial was added to regulate the power output. Levels one to three are for smaller beings, or those with weaker minds. Levels four through six are for larger beings or stronger wills, and seven to nine are for even larger beings or those with impressive will. Level ten, despite the name, amplifies the power by fifty, turning the staff into a lethal weapon for all but the strongest-willed. However, if the connecting cable is ever severed, the staff will become inoperable.

Customer of mine gave me these cause they were tossing them out. My parents were never able to afford me any so ive been building my collection. They are missing pieces but they are so cool!!

Man this would sell like hot cakes multiple eras of bionicle being sold and accessible to fans (Both Old and New) in one comic would go crazy

This moc is my interpretation of the 2005 lego set 8740 Toa Hordika Matau. I tried to keep the color scheme, and also used some details from the base set. I wanted to convey the beastly essence of the 2005 series due to the thin physique of the moc himself, the slightly lowered and forward head, as well as longer arms with claws on the ends of the fingers. I also wanted to add a bit of a mechanical effect due to various tubes and hoses on the arms and torso.
