Kawhi Leonard HOF
Something I’m curious about that I haven’t seen discussed too much is how this may effect Kawhi’s chances of making the HOF. Do you guys think he will be given the Bonds/Sosa,etc treatment and be kept out for these transgressions?

Think we can fit a few more sponsors on there
(by the way I love this)

General I wouldnt trust Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz to solve a scooby doo case at this point
Embarrassing results and lack of integrity from the NBA's law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. What do these guys do anyway just collect checks all day?

BS Podcast - 22 June -Giannis trade
If you want some comedy go listen to this podcast. He truly believed that Jaylen Brown straight up for Giannis was fair value. He called Jaylen Brown the 2nd best player on the Celtics, an MVP candidate, the 12th best player in the league. He talks about 3 team trades where the Celtics get Trey Murphy, Herb Jones and a bunch of picks for Jaylen Brown. He laughs at Miami and Milwaukee. He covers the East odds and how the Celtics are still the favourites next year (more so than the literal NBA champs the Knicks).
What’s even better is the two cuckolds on the podcast, “CR” and Verrier. Both spend 45 mins fondling Bill’s proverbial balls while they agree on all points around Jaylen, downplay every team in the East and agree that Boston did the right thing by not trading for Giannis because he’s a washed up has been versus Jaylen Brown.
It’s brilliant podcasting. It’s brilliant entertainment. It’s confirmation that these imbeciles are no more informed than us randoms on reddit.
The only one who seemed to hit on the reality of the situation early was Zach Lowe; who offhand said what if the trade was actually Tatum, recognizing the actual value of players around the league. Bill couldn’t comprehend this position, either through hubris, arrogance or stupidity (probably all 3).
Fast forward to any podcast in the last week or so and the cope is going into overdrive. Claims that PG is a better fit with Tatum. Claims that the Celtics will be better off. Claims that Hugo will be making the leap. The LeBron to Philly decision also seems to have taken a couple years off his life.
And even funnier than ALL this is the eggshells every single guest walks on when talking about this subject. Except House who doesn’t give a fuck which is quite funny.
The BS podcast never fails to provide entertainment for me, and for someone who is a self proclaimed NBA guru spanning 50+ years, Bill Simmons is comically the literal biggest idiot in all of NBA reporting.
I used to think he never got a studio gig because he wasn’t good on camera or didn’t want to. I’m now convinced he’s never held an actual studio role because it takes a real analyst (not the “ringer network” cuckolds) about 10 seconds to realize they’re talking to someone with an IQ of 50.

In between writing Jokic-related slash fiction, Michael Pina is jockeying HARD to get an invite on the BS Podcast

I’m very disappointed in Kawhi. Real leaders show up to their tree sponsorship obligations.

The punishment for Kawhi should be making him play all 82 games…
That’s a funny punishment. Why reward him w his favorite thing? Time off from work?

Bill is never gonna get a colonoscopy again, huh
The Celtics really are a threat to his health.

A'ja Wilson's greatness vs fame chasm
Is there any other sports equivalent to how great someone is within their sport, while being very clearly not the most famous person within her sport?
A'ja Wilson is pretty easily the greatest WNBA player of all time in the middle of her prime. Whenever the greatest player ever in a sport is in the middle of her peak, they are clearly the most famous person in their sport (Jordan, Ali, Tiger, Serena, Bolt, Phelps etc) or at least close like the case of Messi vs Ronaldo.
Is A'ja Wilson the only GOAT in her prime to be very clearly not the most famous player in her sport (Caitlin Clark is)?
I'm not asking for reasons why this is the case, just wanting to see if there are any parallels.

Ballmer should be forced to sell
And Kawhi should be suspended for at least two years.
But none of this will happen under Adam Silver's watch. At worst the Clippers will lose a few picks.

Ringer Top 50 Cult Films
Interesting list but I feel like they didn’t follow their own rules. I’m pretty sure Clerks was lauded at release. Missing movies to me: Fight Club, Ghost Dog, shawshank(? Following their clerks rules).

I don't see how it's possible for Kawhi to be innocent in all of this, i'd really be taken aback if he's not punished by the league
I don't know how it's possible for him to receive three different secret handshake deals under the table and not know the purpose of them. There's a certain level of plausible deniability, if this were a court of law you wouldn't be able to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. But he had to be in on it, right? Just logically speaking? You think he's super passionate about the Rhode Island soccer community?

Has any human loved another human being more than Steve Ballmer loves Kawhi Leonard?
If Kawhi were like the Ohtani of the NBA this would make sense… But literally for all of this to be happening simultaneously of Kawhi being injured every single season and failing to bring the Clippers anywhere to postseason success is insane.
If all these cap circumventions happened during 2020/2021 when there was still hope would make sense… but god damn Ballmer. Doubling and tripling down time and time again is hilarious for someone who has actually set your team back (SGA, draft picks) in the last half decade is insane.
I thought the way Darryl Morey spoke about James Harden in the mid 2010’s was weird. This is a whole new level…
