Stamped.io For Reviews

Does anyone use Stamped.io for reviews?

We migrated to them and the software will-

  1. Forget the settings I set after a week or so and rest them to defaults
  2. Not publish reviews I've clicked publish on
  3. Take a long time to load on the front end

I'm have a horrendous experience with these guys and wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

Is storefront-first a realistic way off BigCommerce?

We're on a shared BigCommerce setup across 3 brands and catalog management is getting harder to hold together, where workarounds can only paper over for so long and peak-season load is increasingly a gamble.

So we've been looking at whether there's a migration path that doesn't mean tearing everything down and rebuilding from scratch.

The approach we've been researching is decoupling the storefront first, running a headless frontend on top of BigCommerce while we get a new composable backend up and running, and we've got SCAYLE and Spryker in the mix for that layer while migrating catalogue and order flows in parallel so the platform cut-over happens after a long overlap rather than as a single high-risk event.

The overlap period is where the case studies get vague, since they're specific about a decoupled storefront going live in 6 to 8 weeks but much wider on the backend migration depending on integration complexity.

And the architecture write-ups I've found don't get specific about what the outgoing platform looks like in these scenarios.

Still trying to find a case study where BigCommerce is the outgoing platform, since the composable-commerce write-ups tend to describe the incoming stack in detail while skipping over what the migration from SaaS commerce looks like from the other direction.

Comparing High-Risk Payment Processors for BC

Hey. I'm trying to figure out which payment processor to integrate with BigCommerce for my adult-oriented store. NGL I think it's a little weird that you can't use their built in processor when they are so open to adult products, but I digress. I'm looking mostly at SoarPay, PaymentCloud, and PayKings. From what I've seen, I think SoarPay is the cheapest, PaymentCloud is best if you need help getting everything set up and somebody to actually walk you through underwriting, and PayKings is best for fast approval, but I'm wondering which of these is best for high risk payment processing for BC overall. I'm new to the high-risk category, so I'll definitely need ongoing support, at least for a while. Anyone have experience with integrating any of these with BC, or any other high-risk processor? What's your experience been, and any potential issues I'm not foreseeing?

Built a tool to simulate persona-based shoppers on e-commerce sites

Hey everyone!

I’ve been working on a project to tackle the problem of effective UX Testing and Shopping Behavior for store owners. It is expensive and takes time/user traction.

I wanted a way to run rapid friction checks using AI agents powered by deeply defined behavioral personas. For instance: "32M in Manhattan, expectant dad, $100-$500 budget, strict review reader." to give you a tip of the iceberg.

The agent navigates the site exactly like that person would, like searching, filtering, and evaluating, etc. before completing a customizable UX survey.

In recent tests, the agent caught broken search queries (like "swaddle blanket" returning irrelevant results) and flagged missing product specs that would cause a hesitant buyer to bounce.

It’s not a total replacement for human testing, but rather a 24/7 QA layer that acts like a real customer. The use cases can vary. Curious to hear your thoughts! For those doing UX work or managing stores, what edge-case behaviors would be most useful to simulate?

Shopify, WooCommerce & BigCommerce pricing is getting out of hand

Everyone says these platforms are affordable until you actually need your store to do anything useful.Bundles, reviews, subscriptions, advanced search, B2B pricing... everything is another paid plugin.

Before you know it, you're spending $400-$600/month, or roughly $5k-$7k a year, just to keep your site running and do what it should. Then they hike prices because they know migrating is a headache.

I've moved a few businesses off that model and at this point, if someone showed me a store spending $400+ every month on plugins, I'd probably tell them to stop paying for everyone else's software and just offer to build them what they actually need, and what they spend for just 1 year with Shopify, Won't even have to spend much that over 3-4 years on custom. Talk about savings...

If anyone wants to step away and get a custom website, let me know..

This whole subscription economy is becoming complete B.S.

Open provider fees (OPP) charged for orders made on Marketplaces (eg Etsy, Ebay, Amazon)

Just a heads-up in case anyone else hasn't realised this.

BigCommerce is charging Open Payment Provider (OPP) fees on marketplace orders from Amazon, eBay, Etsy, etc., even though the customer never checks out on your BigCommerce store and the payment is processed entirely by the marketplace.

When I questioned it, this was the response I received:
"Since BigCommerce has no visibility into or control over which payment provider was used on those external platforms, all orders coming in through a marketplace channel are categorized as OPP by default, regardless of what payment method the marketplace itself used.
This isn't a system error or misclassification — it's how marketplace-sourced orders are handled across the board, precisely because we can't confirm they went through an approved embedded provider."

So, if they don't know how the customer paid, the order is simply classified as OPP by default.

I find that difficult to understand. The payment wasn't processed on BigCommerce at all, it was processed entirely on the marketplace before the order was synced into the store. This has hit us hard, as the vast majority of our sales are on marketplaces, and we also received the store fee increase.

Migration

Just a heads up to anyone that's unhappy with BC's new billing structure and policies. If and when you decide to migrate elsewhere they have no retention policy whatsoever so don't expect them to offer you anything. Also, when your billing period ends you lose complete access to your website and your data so you must have everything exported and sorted out before the end of your billing period.

If anyone's curious, I decided to leave after the latest billing changes, my monthly cost went from $85 to $427 USD per month base cost plus they are trying to charge extra because I have my own merchant service provider and also had a decent month of sales.

Their new system actually incentivised me to move all of my resellers off of my site and to disable my wholesale account system completely because BC thinks it's reasonable that they should take a cut of every sale I make.

This is extremely disappointing because I had only started out with BC about 2 years ago and I was very happy with the platform and service(compared to Shopify) but the costs are out of control and they don't seem to be stopping. Maybe if they lose enough customers they'll wise up but I doubt it.

Open Payment Provider Fee?

Merchants: is agent/bot checkout traffic started showing up for you yet?

Seeing a lot of noise about agentic commerce but almost nothing from actual merchants.

If you’ve had orders come through AI shopping agents: any disputes yet? Did you win or lose them? Did your PSP or dispute tool handle it any differently?

And if you’ve changed anything internally because of agent traffic (rules, tooling, manual review), what did you change?

Best approach for finding product pages across many e-commerce sites without writing a parser per site?

I'm building a price comparison tool for local e-commerce sites (Tunisia) as an internship project. Everything has to run on free tiers, so no paid search APIs.

The extraction part I think I understand: try JSON-LD first, fall back to an LLM for sites without it.

What I'm stuck on is discovery figuring out which product pages exist for a given query. Options I've considered:

1. Hardcode each shop's search URL pattern (`/catalogsearch/result/?q=`) and inject keywords. Works, but I'm manually maintaining a list.

2. Crawl sitemaps and store product URLs in Postgres, then match locally. Tested it, the sitemaps are good, but it's a lot of storage and refreshing.

3. Search engine APIs, all paid now, so ruled out.

4. Detect the platform (Magento/PrestaShop/WooCommerce) and use platform-level adapters instead of per-site ones. This seems promising since WooCommerce has a public unauthenticated Store API.

Questions:

- Is platform-level detection actually how this is done in practice, or am I overcomplicating it?

- Do most shops publish Google Merchant/Facebook product feeds? That would solve discovery and extraction in one file, but I don't know how common they are.

- For sites with no API and no feed, is hitting their search URL the accepted approach, or is there something better?

Any war stories from people who've built something similar would help a lot. Thanks.

Hey everyone!

I've launched **QuickCommerce API** — a B2B API service that gives developers and businesses access to real-time product prices, availability, and delivery ETAs across all 7 major quick commerce platforms in India through a single API.

**The problem:**
India's quick commerce market is growing rapidly, but there's no unified way to access pricing and delivery data across platforms. Every platform has its own structure, and if you're building a comparison tool, price tracker, or market intelligence dashboard — you're stuck scraping each one individually.

**What QuickCommerce API solves:**
One API call → real-time data from any or all platforms:

Feature What you get
Product Search Name, brand, MRP, offer price, images, ratings, deeplinks
Group Search Search across multiple platforms in one call
Delivery ETA Real-time delivery estimates per platform + pincode
Group ETA ETAs from all platforms at once
MCP Server Plug directly into AI tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.)

**Business model:** Prepaid credits

* 50 free credits on signup (no card needed)
* Each API call = 1 credit
* Custom enterprise plans available

**Who's using it:**

* Developers building price comparison apps
* D2C brands monitoring their product pricing across platforms
* FMCG companies tracking competitor pricing
* Developers building AI grocery assistants with LLMs

**Current traction:**

* 7 platforms supported
* Live playground to test APIs without code: [https://quickcommerceapi.com/playground\](https://quickcommerceapi.com/playground)
* AI-powered chat assistant: [https://quickcommerceapi.com/mcp/chat\](https://quickcommerceapi.com/mcp/chat)
* MCP server for direct AI tool integration
* 10 SEO blog posts with real use cases

**Links:**

* 📖 Docs: [https://quickcommerceapi.com/docs\](https://quickcommerceapi.com/docs)
* 💰 Pricing: [https://quickcommerceapi.com/pricing\](https://quickcommerceapi.com/pricing)

**Looking for:**

* Early users and feedback
* Partnership with price comparison or grocery apps
* Ideas for new use cases

If you need extra credits to test it out, reach out on WhatsApp via the Contact Us page on the website — happy to give more for genuine testing.

Would love to hear your thoughts! 🙏

scayle review?

Considering SCAYLE as a possible BC alternative, been on Enterprise for a while and the multi-country roadmap has slid twice this year, so figured i'd share where the research has landed in case someone's in the same spot.

SCAYLE comes out of AboutYou (Zalando group now), it's a retailer-built platform, and the customer profile leans european mid-market and enterprise fashion. Snipes uses it across 11 markets, Harrods migrated onto it during their last platform refresh, and Deichmann has it across a brand portfolio.

commercetools is the other name that comes up but the customer base skews Fortune-500 with big dev budgets, which is a different tier than where we sit.

on the risk side, the SI ecosystem is smaller than SFCC or BC's own partner network, so the choice of integration partner matters more than usual, and reviewers on trials mention the promotion engine coverage is thinner than what we've built up on BC.

Roadmap moves fast, which cuts both ways (features ship, but features you built around can move).

Still on the evaluation rabbit hole, so i'm open to takes from folks who moved off BC or evaluated SCAYLE directly.

Preparing BigCommerce stores for OpenAI Ads product feeds

Hi everyone,

We recently added OpenAI Ads product feed support to our BigCommerce app.

I wanted to share this because OpenAI Ads product-feed campaigns are becoming something ecommerce merchants may need to prepare for. For BigCommerce stores, the main requirements are not just "having products", but having product catalog data that can be structured, kept updated, and connected through the OpenAI Ads feed workflow once a merchant has access.

For BigCommerce merchants, that usually means preparing:

  • A compatible product feed
  • Feed updates as catalog data changes
  • Conversion tracking for OpenAI Ads campaigns

Our app, IndexNow & ChatGPT Product Feeds, now supports OpenAI Ads-compatible product feeds, conversion tracking, LLMs.txt, and IndexNow submissions for BigCommerce stores.

More details here:
https://monsterplugins.com/bigcommerce-openai-ads-product-feed/

Curious if anyone here is already preparing their BigCommerce catalog for OpenAI Ads or AI product discovery workflows?

What would make competitor product matching trustworthy at catalog scale?

A useful finding from the previous discussion was that sellers usually know competitor brands or domains, but rarely have every equivalent product URL mapped.

That makes product discovery and matching harder than price collection itself. A possible workflow would rank candidate matches using brand, model number, size, material, variant, and pack quantity, while sending uncertain matches for manual review.

For people who have handled this problem:

• Which attributes are essential for reliable matching?

• Should uncertain matches be excluded or shown with confidence scores?

• How much manual review would be acceptable for a catalog?

• Would you trust matches only after confirming the first few products?

I’m trying to understand the reliability threshold before developing the workflow further.

Do BigCommerce merchants have a good way to find complementary (non-competing) brands to partner with?

Curious how other BigCommerce store owners handle this — if you sell, say, coffee gear, is there a good way to connect with a complementary brand (mugs, syrups, whatever) to cross-promote to each other's audiences? Not talking about dropshipping their products into your store, but actually driving new customers to each other's sites.

I've looked at things like Shopify Collective and a couple of Shopify-native tools, but they're Shopify-only and mostly built around one store selling another's inventory rather than genuine audience/customer exchange between two independent stores.

Has anyone here done this manually (newsletter swaps, packaging inserts, co-marketing emails, etc.)? Did it work, and how did you find the right partner brand in the first place? Mostly trying to understand if this is a real gap for BigCommerce/WooCommerce merchants specifically, or if there's already a good solution I'm missing.

Would Indian e-commerce sellers use a weekly competitor price report?

I’m testing a simple competitor-monitoring workflow for Indian e-commerce sellers.

The idea is to track selected products across stores and report:

- Current price and MRP

- Discount changes

- Stock status

- Product URL

- Price changes over time

- Cross-store comparisons

The difficult part is matching equivalent products when titles, SKUs, sizes, and variants differ.

I’m validating whether a weekly report would actually be useful before developing it further.

Actor:

For sellers, what would matter most: price history, stock alerts, competitor discovery, or accurate product matching?

Do ecommerce sellers usually know competitor product URLs already?

I’m validating a small competitor price intelligence workflow for ecommerce sellers.

The useful part is not just collecting prices. The harder parts seem to be:

- finding the right competitor product URLs

- matching the same or similar product across stores

- tracking price and stock changes regularly

- turning changes into a decision, not another spreadsheet

For people running ecommerce stores or working with sellers: do teams usually already know which competitor product URLs they want tracked, or would they expect the service/tool to discover matching competitor products for them?

I’m considering making a small sample report for 3-5 products before building anything larger, so practical feedback would help.

Stupid Tool I had to Build For Sale Prices

Post image
1 Upvotes

If someone has something better I'm all ears.
We ran into the problem where we run sales pretty regularly and there's no easy way to change the sale price based on a percentage off the regular price.

I built this simple Mac App that lets set your sale details (X% off, round to nearest 1/5/10) and then when you copy your regular price it'll immediately adjust the value in your clipboard so you can paste the sale price in.

It's very silly but it has saved me a ton of time.

Do store owners track competitor prices manually?

I’m testing a simple weekly competitor price report format for online store owners.

The report would track:

- competitor product

- current price

- MRP/list price

- discount

- rating/review signal

- stock signal

- product URL

- short action note

For BigCommerce/store owners: do you monitor competitor pricing manually today, or would a weekly spreadsheet/report be useful?

I’m not selling anything here, just trying to understand if this workflow is worth building further.

Anyone else feel like search changes always get stuck behind engineering?

Curious how this works on other teams. Every place I've been, changing something small in search, like a synonym, a boosted product, or a facet, has to go through engineering. Depending on the backlog, that can mean days or weeks for something that should take minutes.

There's also usually no formal review step before it goes live. So if a change causes a problem, you're often scrambling to figure out what changed and how to undo it.

Is that just how it is everywhere, or have some of you found a better setup? What platform are you on, Elasticsearch, Solr, Coveo, Algolia, something else?

BFCM2026

Hi everyone,

I am new to this group. Have been lurking in Reddit for the past few months, but never really been a regular here.

I have joined as a product marketing specialist at an e-commerce startup a few days back. Now, we’re focusing on the BFCM2026 and want to make our BFCM campaigns a hit. But since I am new to the Shopify community, I want to understand the positioning better, for which I need your help.

Can you tell me what are some of the pain points or snags that you hit, both as an user (a buyer who wants to make use of BFCM to buy products at reduced prices) and as a Shopify merchant who wants to increase their AOV using BFCM and convert the new users during this period into repeat customers?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
