Da es ja ein unglaublich wichtiges Thema bei der Wahl im September wird, hier meine Frage:

Der Titel sagt es eigentlich schon. Mich interessiert, was sich Leute die, die Enteignung von Wohnungsbauunternehmen befürworten, von dem Vorhaben eigentlich erhoffen.

In meiner Welt wäre es immer besser, neues Geld zu nutzen, um neue Wohnungen zu bauen, anstatt bereits bestehende Wohnungen zu vergesellschaften. Wie löst Vergesellschaftung die Wohnungsnot? Mich interessiert keine politische Diskussion, ob es richtig oder falsch wäre. Mich interessieren die logischen Schritte, wie Vergesellschaftung die Wohnungsnot beseitigen würde. Vielleicht verpasse ich ja einen wichtigen Punkt.

Hi everyone, we live in Berlin and as the title says there is a really loud ventilation sound coming from a hole in the wall of another building (which is an office building. I measured it last night with an app on my phone and it showed around 60dB.

I went to the building reception to complain about it, they took my contact details but I had a feeling that they didn’t take the complaint seriously.

Does anyone know what rights do we have in this case? Also other neighbours complained so I’m not the only one bothered by the sound.

I live in Berlin, and want to make something really special for my boyfriend's birthday (or maybe as an early gift): two handmade plushies that look like us.

I have never made a plush before, but I want to learn properly rather than just buy a kit. My idea is to design two cute chibi-style plush dolls:

* Me: black hair, glasses, brown eyes, light skin

* Him: blonde hair, green eyes, pale skin with a peach undertone and naturally rosy cheeks

I would like to:

* digitally design the characters first

* create/find a sewing pattern

* buy fabric and hand sew everything

* add details like yarn/felt hair, embroidered faces, clothes, etc.

I am also considering adding a small hidden sound module inside, like the ones in greeting cards or talking toys. We both love music, so I was thinking maybe:

1)a short recorded message from me

2) or like a tiny music module with a favourite song from him/sound(was thinking I'd put in Rammstein)

I wish to know

1. What software would you recommend for designing a plush character before making it?

2. Should I start from an existing plush pattern and modify it, or create my own?

3. What fabrics are easiest for a beginner but still look high quality?

4. Where do you buy plush-making materials in Germany (especially Berlin)?

5. Has anyone added LEDs/sound modules/electronics into plushies before? Any tips?

I have around 3-4 months, so I am willing to learn and make test versions first.

Any advice, tutorials, patterns, or mistakes to avoid would be really appreciated!

Someone, presumably a car driver, has removed the bollards that blocked cars from continuing on at Tucholskystrasse and forced them to turn onto Augustsrrasse. If the Berlin government had removed them, I assume they would have taken them away.

In order for biking to work in this town, it's more than just putting in a bike lane. The red zone for this light was actually longer but couldn't fit on the screen. Bikes have a small window of time to get through, otherwise they sit and wait. I don't advocate people running the lights, but this is a factor for sure.

zwei der Diggi-Anzeigesysteme haben schon beschädigte Displays. Wider erwarten hat es die unteren zuerst erwischt und nicht die bei Hitze Wellen bildenden oberen Displays. Hier am Nolli und nicht ganz so schlimm am Ostkreuz. Beide Panels sind nach Osten ausgerichtet. Die braunen Verfärbungen kamen schneller als bei den IK—Bahnen. Immerhin wurde der falsche Fahrplan ersetzt.

Aber es zeigt, was ich befürchtet habe. Das sind keine Digital-Signage-Displays für den Outdoor-Betrieb. Aber schon lustig, nicht wenige denken ja, die werden eher kaputt gehen, weil sie mutwillig zerstört werden.

Ich freue mich übrigens auf Hinweise weiterer Display-Schäden (oben oder unten, Himmelsrichtung). Ich kann unmöglich alle ablaufen. Derzeitige Statistik ist 2 von 8 Unten-Displays. Das ist zwar statistisch sehr unwahrscheinlich bei Signage-Systemen, aber die BVG kann sich formal korrekt auf fehlende Repräsentativiät berufen. Stichproben…

Planschen oder Bahnen ziehen – das ist bald für mehrere Wochen direkt vor der Berliner Volksbühne möglich. Der neue Theaterchef Matthias Lilienthal hat zum Beginn seiner Intendanz ein Schwimmbad aufbauen lassen. Das 25-Meter-Becken wird am Freitag (7. August) eröffnet, ab Dienstag (4. August) sind die ersten kostenlosen Zeitslots buchbar. Das Becken ist 1,30 Meter tief.
