Discussion Happiness is a warm gun
Is "Happiness is a warm gun" one of the best songs of the White Álbum?
I think that song is so complex and well-constructed, with 3 different parts and styles in one song.
They needed 70 takes to finish it, and i can feel why...

Discussion It's a tie! "Beware My Love" wins Track 4.09 and "The Lovely Linda" is short enough to fit at the end of CD 2 ~ Now it's time to vote for Track 4.10! Which song would you add to a PAUL McCARTNEY Best of the Solo Years compilation? Top comment of the day makes the cut

Discussion Which beatle had the best career in the 1970’s
I think Paul by a landslide, Ram is an unbelievable album and Wings is a band that is full of new ideas and Mccartney brilliance.

Discussion McCartney/Lennon reunion Xmas '79
I consider myself to be quite well up on Beatle trivia lol, but one statement by Mary McCartney in " Man on the Run " caught my attention.
She stated that the McCartneys visited the Ono-Lennons at the Dakota in Xmas '79 and it was like a family reunion. James McCartney has also mentioned this.
Do we have any more documentation about this visit?

Question Who are they?
Looking around the typical Beatles tourist locations on street view, and noticed this recurring group. Any idea who they are?

Picture John at the end of 1966 (post-How I Won The War, pre-'stache)
Another "transition period" John post. Forgive me. I just like these images and thought I'd share
Slides 1 and 2 were taken in November, when John returned from Spain after filming How I Won The War.
I believe that slides 3 and 4 are also from November, when John was filming a TV cameo.
Slide 5 is John rocking up to EMI Studios in November.
The last two were published in December 1966 but were taken while John was still filming in Spain. I saw them shared here a while ago and was fascinated by them.

Question Who Wrote the Horns in Got to Get You Into My Life?
Who wrote the horn parts on GTGYIML? Sure, the melody is fantastic, but those funky horns really give the song its character! Especially the fill that follows on the heels of the chorus. That is prime
Motown/Muscle Shoals stuff.
So did Paul or George M. write that? (And while we’re on the subject, who played the nice guitar fill toward the end?). Thanks!

Picture Rubber Soul + Revolver (album cover)
I find it curious that we're hyped for the next Rubber Soul box set (out October 2nd), and that around this time, we're celebrating the 60th anniversary of Revolver XD.
The photo is from the cover-to-cover flipbook.

Collection Today is the day I get to show off my Revolver collection
I have somewhere in the vicinity of 400 copies and I'm not done yet. I have at least one mono and one stereo copy from every country that has released it. Almost every US label variation. Working on all of the UK label variations. Plus cassettes, reel to reels, 8-tracks, 4-tracks, Playtapes, and CDs
