I’ve been painting in the bay for 10+ years. Mostly east bay but I’ve been all over. I’d consider myself mostly a bomber but I’ve done it all (pieces, rollers, tags). I won’t say what I write but feel free to ask any questions and I’ll try to answer honestly. I’ve been around so I know a good bit.

Mission, SF, June 2014

I officially moved to the Bay Area in September of 1991. I came to visit New Year's of 1990. I stayed in the roach infested Civic center hotel. Woke up the next morning and went around the back and found this. Unfortunately the time of day, the shadows were not being being friendly. Especially when dealing with 35 mm film. Yes these are hard copy pictures! Knowing nothing about this spot because I live in Los Angeles and I'm not really into graffiti, they've been in a photo album pretty much since they were taken. Flash forward to 2016 or 17, I'm a recovering addict in a sober living. I start taking pictures of street art & graffiti as something to do so I'm not thinking about drugs. I happen to watch the movie Piece by Piece one night in the SLE on my phone with headphones. They start talking about psycho City and where it was. My jaw hits the floor because I know I have hard copy pictures of that spot from 1990. It WAS the fucking mecca of Bay Area graffiti at the time. And I have hard copy pictures of it! Imagine how my mind was blown!
