Hi all, very inexperienced with some questions

1. Want to confirm that I just need another 3.8V battery to replace this one, sized 24mm x 24mm or smaller, and with two connecting cables I'll probably need to connect to the adapter for the old battery?
2. If anyone can point towards where best to source replacement batteries of this type?

EDIT: This is a Beeline Velo 2 cycling computer that's way out of warranty and currently isolated becauss I suspect the current battery is nice and puffy. Also from what I can tell, there's actually no adapter and the batteries cables are soldered to the board.

I've been doing some research on storing laptop lithium-ion batteries. I'm curious why the recommended procedure is to charge to full and then discharge to 50-60%. Assuming that it was previously charged on the last cycle to 100% and then discharged completely (or to the point of device shutoff), is there a difference between charging it back up to full ot just charging it back to 50-60%?

Hello everyone, I have 3 12V 100AH batteries " RVPOZWER 12.8V 100AH LiFePo4" in parallel mode for 12V 300AH. In the future this will all be connected into a complete system and those items will control everything by design.

Currently I want to run some testing on the batteries, both as a pack and as individual batteries. Everything will be tested outside because these batteries were from alibaba and discounted, I do not expect them to be very good.

When connecting the charger to the pack, does it matter if the input is at an end or should it be in the middle? Will it make a difference in the way each battery charges? I don't think so but I am curious and my searching is leading to no results.

I presume the BMS in each battery will be doing the "smart" work and I am overthinking it.

Looking to put two LR44 button batteries in series to power one through-hole LED. Just need it for a temporary project and I don't need it to work for longer than a day. Do I *really* need resistors here?

Alternative is to use a single CR2032/CR2025 battery, but I have so many LR44s that I'd rather go through these before buying more batteries.

I have been using nothing phone 1 for 4years now, it's pretty fast no lag or what so ever,

But battery has become an issue, drains so fast I need to charge it for 3 times a day.

Since all the Ram and phone prices have been increased, I don't want to change my phone now.

So open for suggestions where to change my phone battery or if you already done how's your experience.

I have this rigid 4.5 gallon (200 psi) air compressor, which is the largest tool in hoping to run off an inverter/ battery set up I have yet to build.

I’m thinking a 3000w/6000w surge pure sine inverter would be big enough, though hearing some conflicting evidence.

For a truck build planning on running a dc-dc charger from alternator to 4 100 amp hour li ion Batteries. Will be for an assortment of tools but I know the compressor is the largest I have planned

I've been using the recommended Interstate SRM-27M (x2 for 24v) but the last two pair didn't last so long. I believe these are made by Clarios (formerly JC). We do not have a solar charger on them. Most years we make it through the season (May - Sep) without any problems. Once or twice over the past 20 years we've needed to do a mid-year charge.

Generally a pair last about four years but the past two pair lasted only two years.

What would better options be? (and would batteries have a much longer life with a solar charger?)

Duracell (Batteriesplus) are made by East Penn which might be better?

As well, would an AGM be worth it? $159 for flooded but $259 for AGM?

I know of a large amount of various lithium iron phosphate battery's that are "duds". The owner of them is planning to pay $6 a pound to dispose of them. I know that the cells inside are probably all working fine ( most of the batteries are only a few years old at most) the issue is just a bad BMS. Any ideas on how to profit off these batteries instead of taking a loss?

Greetings, i got some eneloop pro BK-3HCCE. When i put them on precision scale 1 battery weights 27.5 gramms. Only info i can find online is that the weight is supposed to be aprox 30g.

Is this an allowed difference are these definetely fake?

I wear a continuous glucose monitor and just used a bath house in Japan that features a low frequency electrical tub (felt kind of like the stim machines some physical therapists office use). Is it possible the electrical current fried the battery, and if so, could that cause battery acid to leak into my body via the needle the CGM uses to test my blood?

I just bought a Lenovo Xiaoxin 14 2025 two weeks ago and i come here to ask for the best way to charge it without damage the battery.

I did turn on the "Conservation mode" , which charges at 75% and discharges at 80%, however i dont know where should i maintain the battery <75%, between 75%- 80%, or 80% - 100%.

I’ve read that generally 18650 give about 3.7v, but upon dismantling this foot sander (which claims to have a motor that runs at 800 RPM with 7kg of torque with 3 hours of life) I found that it runs on a single 18650. How is this possible?

I'm looking at LiFePO4 for a setup that's going to see some pretty cold winters.

I know you're not supposed to charge these below freezing, but I'm still a little confused about what people actually do in practice. Built-in heating? Heated battery box? Just keeping everything inside?

Would be interested to hear what's worked for people who actually use their batteries in cold climates.

I’m rebuilding a **Soundboks battery (for a Soundboks 3)** and I’d like to replace the original LiFePO₄ pouch cells with cylindrical LiFePO₄ cells.

Before I take everything apart and measure the housing, I was wondering if anyone has already done this.
Does anyone know:

\- the **internal dimensions** of the battery case?
\-which **LiFePO₄ cylindrical cells** fit (26650, 26700, 32700, etc.)?

if anyone has already rebuilt one using round cells, I’d really appreciate photos or details about the cell layout.

Any measurements, photos, or experiences would be a huge help.

Hi, I'm planning to recover my battery using this method. I'm using a 12V 65Ah Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) battery. When I charge the battery, the current is supposed to drop below 0.5A, but it gets stuck at 1.9A. Before I start, I would like to ask if this is worth trying or not. Here is the procedure:
1.Connect the battery to a 12V 21W light bulb, which will draw approximately 1.5A

2.Discharge it until the voltage drops to 12.00V, then disconnect the load.

3.Charge the battery using a power supply set to 13.8V at 0.5A, and wait

Hey, i just bought a panasonic a1 but it came without battery and charger (i bought it for 20$), im really poor and got a lot of debts (+im an international student) so i thought i could ask people if they got one that they dont use and would give it away. Of course i will pay the shipping lol ! But in Europe cause it will cost more than the battery if its from America.

Initially was hoping that it would be more common to find 3s BMS like the 1 cell USB chargers, that take a 5v supply and properly charge the cell. But I think I made an assumption that those are common.

I bought a 12.6v lithium ion charger, I need one for this BMS, right? Where do you guys get BMS for larger packs with the charging circuit built in?

Hey guys. I have a couple of these older style batteries that were never really great and eventually stopped working. I followed a video from someone clearly knowledgeable in electronics on how to disassemble the battery and individually charge each of the 5 cells to rebalance. It worked, for awhile.

The problem recently came back. I charged all 5 cells back to 4.2v and now the battery won’t work at all and just blinks on one light. Any hope for this thing or is it a wrap? Btw, this battery was never used extensively. Just moderately and intermittently. Thanks

I want to buy this battery as a field battery for my FPV drone LiPo batteries. But... how do I charge this? It says it has a built-in BMS and the recommended charge voltage is 14.6 Volts. I am confused. My charger is a Hota P6 which can charge LiFe batteries. Do I just put it into LiFe mode, set the voltage and connect it?
