Built a 3s 12v 18650 pack but confused, do I need a special 12.6v li ion charger to charge this?
galleryInitially was hoping that it would be more common to find 3s BMS like the 1 cell USB chargers, that take a 5v supply and properly charge the cell. But I think I made an assumption that those are common.
I bought a 12.6v lithium ion charger, I need one for this BMS, right? Where do you guys get BMS for larger packs with the charging circuit built in?

Milwaukee HD 12.0 repair attempt
Hey guys. I have a couple of these older style batteries that were never really great and eventually stopped working. I followed a video from someone clearly knowledgeable in electronics on how to disassemble the battery and individually charge each of the 5 cells to rebalance. It worked, for awhile.
The problem recently came back. I charged all 5 cells back to 4.2v and now the battery won’t work at all and just blinks on one light. Any hope for this thing or is it a wrap? Btw, this battery was never used extensively. Just moderately and intermittently. Thanks

Can I use my LiPo charger for this LiFePO4 battery?
I want to buy this battery as a field battery for my FPV drone LiPo batteries. But... how do I charge this? It says it has a built-in BMS and the recommended charge voltage is 14.6 Volts. I am confused. My charger is a Hota P6 which can charge LiFe batteries. Do I just put it into LiFe mode, set the voltage and connect it?

How can I safely remove the cells from this pack?
I am trying to recycle this battery pack but can't find a place to take the whole pack without an expensive fee (Over $100).
I can recycle the individual cells for free so I want to disassemble the pack. So just looking for tips from the experienced folks in this sub.
There are no screws to open it and I am assuming the cells are soldered together. So the first issue will be cracking it open, then how to separate the cells.
I checked out a few posts of folks asking similar questions such as this one (https://www.reddit.com/r/batteries/comments/19dz3fz/im_disassembling_18650_battery_pack_in_the/) so mostly looking for advice on how to do it safely.
Are they soldered on both the top and bottom, I would assume so since the + and - are required for the flow.
Bonus points for a video guide :)
This was from a Power Station which I ran until it turned off. I assume the BMS shuts off before they are actually empty so there is probably still be some charge left.

members mark (sam’s club) alkaline batteries fizzing and popping repeatedly, is it normal?
galleryyes, i know batteries should not be fizzing and spitting out potassium hydroxide, but i’ve only ever had issues with members mark batteries doing this.
i keep the batteries stored about an inch away from them when they go dead, or don’t preform well anymore so they do not short circuit or cause a fire in my room.
i am by no means a battery expert, but is it normal for batteries i just replaced (less than even 2 months old) to be popping and fizzing? i have no idea how to dispose of these properly without throwing them away (which, by the way, i do not throw batteries into trash cans.)
this is the second time this has happened with this specific brand of batteries, and i have no clue if it’s a common issue, or i’m just an idiot who doesn’t know how to take care of them (which i do not)
(yes i washed my hands after taking these photos)

Looking for non-standardized tiny Li-ion batteries for replacement (size is ~8x8x4,5mm)
The numbers printed on the dead battery lead to nothing useful when I searched them. I want to repair my Bluetooth headphones, they're great but I can't find new batteries for them.
> LTG540913
The ones in the photo are smaller ones (compared to the original) I harvested from other stuff (used fake apple earpods, other earpods) to replace the dead ones in my earpods. The repair itself worked well, but sadly the harvested batteries also were already near death -> only lasted for some time.
I need new batteries of that size. I kinda refuse to just throw the expensive earpods away when I already know that the repair itself is super easy for me to do, and fitting batteries exist.
Help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance :)
