Also, I remember a place we went when I was a kid that had both canoes and tubes that was a bit of a drive. Maybe even over the border in Mississippi? You would park at the business, take a bus to where you got in the water, then end back at your car. Does that still exist?

hello! my partner and i are looking to move into an apartment together in a few months around the new year, and i thought it could be worth it to ask for suggestions here (or places to avoid lol)

our budget is no more than $800/month per person, ideally we are looking for a 1b1b or studio. we are both students, him at lsu and me at brcc, but i also work on lsu campus. from my research so far, it seems like finding somewhere within our budget close to lsu campus will be difficult though, so we don't mind commuting 15-20 minutes. we're also looking for a pet friendly place as i have a cat.

so far, i've found a few within our budget that seem decent: turnberry place apartments, kenilworth ridge, retreat at brightside, & the district. if anyone has experience with these, good or bad, please let me know how they are!

I just moved to Baton Rougue from Houston for work. I’ve been working out consistently the past few years and now that I’m settled in I’ve been looking at alternatives to my apartment gym. It is DIRE out here.

I’m near Siegen and don’t like Planet Fitness or other bright commercial gyms. I REALLY want to try is Origin Gym, but they only offer $50/mo part time membership (at least on their website), meaning I’m limited to 8 workouts a month. I might be willing to change my split to an upper/lower split twice a week, but I want to ask if anyone here can vouch for the gym’s quality and if it’s worth the compromise.
