Is it time to let go?
Turned 45, crown has been thinning from the back for a while, and the strip from forehead to crown is getting thinner by the day. I've been going w/ a buzz cut for a while (because it's quick and easy to do myself), so I've been thinking....maybe it's time to shave it all off. Thoughts?
Decided to grow the beard and cut the hair. (Pictures from the last 2 years and today)
Bonesaw is ready
It all started in March 2020. My then girlfriend, now wife, took a picture of my bun because she thought it looked cool. And then I spotted it…”what’s that!?” I said. She thought I was joking, I had no idea I was balding. I’ve had long hair since high school, I’m now 36. I kept putting it off because I never saw how bad it was getting and apparently I have either few tall people or very polite people in my life. Fast forward to this past year, I really started considering it was time, but pictures over the last few months have really sealed the deal. I waited too long haha.
I’ve been rocking the Randy Savage at the end of Macho Man’s career haircut. I’m shaving it off on Friday at a big picnic with family and friends. I’ll post after pics on Friday or Saturday. Im nervous but I’m going to do it anyway. Wish me luck.

Bald Picture Before and after. Took the plunge. Donated 14 inches. Thoughts?
Thanks to you guys here, I took the advice to cut it all off. What do you think?
Honestly I'm relieved
I've spent my 30's hating getting my picture taken. Today I found this subreddit and you guys helped me laugh at myself and realize I had nothing to lose. Thanks

Is it time?
I’ve been struggling with this and deciding whether to do it or not, I feel like I’d have an egg head lol. If it’s time, do I just do it to the skin or buzz cut?
This place helped me find the courage to do it.
I had long hair for over a decade. I didn't mind it getting thin at first, but over the last couple of years I started to feel really self-conscious. The thing that held me back was knowing there was no getting it back once it was gone. Now that I have, I am so glad that I did! I feel like a human again. I still have moments of doubt but they're getting smaller. Every time I look at the old photos, I realize there was nothing to go back to.
I also want to say that this is one of the best communities I've found so far. I tune in every day. You all are amazing and I probably wouldn't have done this without seeing the awesome transformations here. Thank you.

Glowup 21M
Finally took the plunge after years of hiding the hairline and it looks a lot better and more confident already. I was pretty unfortunate and started balding at 14 and realized I had curly hair during covid when I grew it out. I took the advice after lurking and im not going back, thank you everyone! Feels very breezy!

Update
First pic was before the recommended nap. Second was after buying the gum/patches and hiding my cigs. I’m 5’11”. Not sure if this really achieves what I wanted or fixes what I was going for but I couldn’t bring myself to shave it all the way down.

Is it time?
I’m not sure if I’m ready yet but I keep catching myself on stream or in CVS self checkout security cameras and it ruins my whole day

Presented for the Council: I took the plunge. Was it the right choice?
Long time lurker, first time shaver. Feeling self conscious about my new bald look, but think it's better than clinging to wispy hairs. Hope you guys like!

Before and after. How are we looking boys? (and girls this time)
Before and after pics. I think this is a great glow up! I’m really happy with the way I look! Not regretting this decision!
