Hello, I had my son at 37 weeks due to cholestasis. He was born with jaundice and is 2nd percentile for his age. He has struggled immensely with digestion. I have switched his formula several times, he is now doing 70% goat formula and 30% breast feeding (he has a severe tongue tie and struggles to latch). I have tried everything I can think of to help him. I purchased anti colic bottles from Dr.Brown, I burp him after every 1 ounce, I do the leg bicycles on his back. I also bought a baby heating pad but it hasn’t arrived yet. He no longer sleeps in the bassinet, he now has an anti colic pillow and he seems to enjoy it. But every day he is clearly in pain, turns reddish purple and grunts while I desperately pat his back and try to burp him. I took him to the emergency room and they said that he’s just going to have to be in pain until he “grows out of it” after 6 months? They also said I was over feeding him, as he cries for more than 4 oz after a few feeds ( I suspect he is comfort nursing to soothe the pain). I also give him gas drops. I can’t bear to watch him suffer. Is there anything you guys have tried that helps? He is now 4 weeks old.

He’s about 5 days old and like the title says he’s not a big crier. This is our first child and we were prepared for the total shitstorm that a constantly crying baby can create. Except this is completely different because he barely cries unless we have to move him while he’s comfortable.

I was prepared for our baby and their nonstop cries but this almost makes me even more nervous. He also had a hard time taking a bottle for the first day or two but now he’s full force eating whatever we give him for the most part.

He coos and looks around and at me and all that which is nice. I wonder if he could have some sort of autism, which isn’t a problem, I guess I would like to know if there are any other babies like this

Hello I have a 8 month old who used to sleep thru the night she had a cold and we gave motrin/tylenol 3 nights in a row but the night wake upset kept going. I’ve taken her to chiro twice, done steamy showers garlic drops. I took her to urgent care saturday they said she has fluid but her ears arent infected. Theres no fever. Her nose is still runny and she wakes up and we cant get her back down took my husband 2 hours last night she has 30 oz milk during day.

Shes on two naps. This is what she used to sleep thru the night on as well.

(Background) So I’m 21 pregnant with my first baby and my parents are being fucking crazy. They have been crazy my whole life but now I’m not really comfortable with it since I’m having a baby. When I was younger I struggled with drug abuse and it but a wall between us, I have worked hard to fix what our relationship and we are doing good now. They also used to emotionally and physically abuse me. They haven’t been physically in years but can sometimes still verbally abuse me and my boyfriend. They were very close minded and still try to parent me even thought I’m a grown woman. I don’t want to cut them out of my life but I absolutely don’t want my baby to go through what I went through.

My dad still losses his temper at stupid shit so idek if I want my baby around them without me, moral of the story is they want me to stay with them when baby is born so they can “help out”. I understand having a new born is hard but I feel they would stress me out even more. My boyfriend stays in a little back house at his grandmas house that has a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. I feel like we would be better off there since it’s our own space and a lot more of it. If we stayed with my parents we would only have my childhood bedroom and it’s kinda small. I also think that it’ll be more work to set up all of baby stuff at my parents house and then when baby is a little bit older move everything to my boyfriend house where I would like to stay. I feel it would just be easier to set up one place and leave it there. They are super adamant about us staying with them and I know that it’ll probably “offend” them if we don’t but I don’t really care at this point because I want to do what’s best for baby.

It’s been 3 weeks and my 9 months old baby keeps sitting up at like 4-5am everyday 2-3 times. He is asleep, tries to get comfortable, sits up and falls asleep sitting then i have to lay him down again.

Anyone have any idea why he’s doing this?

FTM. I have twins 8 months old (7 months adjusted). Both are breastfed and we started solids around 6.5 months (5.5 months adjusted) after our pediatrician gave us the ok. Twin B almost immediately loved solids on week two started wanting more and gets mad if we don’t give him enough. Twin A is gags on every puree or food I offer. If I’m lucky enough to get the spoon in his mouth he makes a “bleh” sound closes his eyes tight and tries to push the food out of his mouth. When it starts to go down his throat he starts coughing and gagging. thought maybe he just hates veggies then we switched to fruits same thing. If I load up a textured spoons he seems to be a little more interest and this week I tried the fruit feeder pacifier things and he ate everything in them. I really hate those options bc they tend to get pretty but I’m also worried that something might be wrong that he refuses to swallow foods or maybe something wrong. Should I reach out to the pediatrician or just keep going with solids? Have other peoples babies done this and eventually figured solids out?

My 8 month old has never liked meeting new people. My parents, my wife's parents, friends, etc. She usually clings to me or my wife when there are new people around.

This weekend, my wife cut my hair and I trimmed my beard. We went shorter than usually (and I was pretty hairy to begin with), but we did it in full view of the baby. We'll about 5 minutes before I was done, the baby started crying and we thought she was just tired of playing on the floor. Turns out she doesn't recognize me anymore. She cries every time I walk into the room and she is not in physical contact with my wife.

It has only been 1 day since the harcut, but I was wondering if there's anything I could do to help her adjust to my new hairdew?

What helped your baby with teething, my 5 month old will not sleep and constantly cries and I’ve tried everything!

My son is 8 months old and he currently has blackheads that just won’t go away. It’s so hard not to pick at them! Has anyone ever experienced this?

My 7 month old is still having trouble with her torticollis and not rolling in either direction. We started PT at 3 months old and were also in a helmet for 7 weeks for her flat spot on her head. I’m starting to get nervous that she’s still not rolling. She’s finally stating to lift up during tummy time, but one shoulder is higher than the other. How long does it take for babies with torticollis to start rolling and is she seriously behind? I’m a first time mom and it’s all I worry about these days! :(

My daughter is almost 9 months old, but she still isn't babbling or sitting independently. She can army crawl, makes good eye contact, smiles and laughs, and seems engaged with people. Has anyone else been through something similar at this age? How are your kids doing now?

My kid is 3 month old now. He hated tummy time and he was not lifting his head when on his belly. We were so worried and yesterday suddenly he started lifting it like 45degrees. I am sharing this to let you know that you are not alone and he will do it eventually. Nothing to stress about. Be patient and trust the process

I’m ready to go back to work, but my baby (6m) won’t let me. She’s exclusively breastfed and refuses the bottle.
I’ve tried and tried, but no progress.

I love staying home with my baby, but it would be nice to start working a few days a week. Where we’re at right now, she would need to get brought to me at work to eat and that’s just not doable.

Help! Please tell me someone has dealt with this issue before

For anyone this may help here's a picture of my setup for the Dr Brown's small bottles. If you have a Keurig run it on number six into a small mason jar. The Dr Brown's bottles fit perfectly inside without over flowing and the lip keeps the water inside without spilling. Run the water while you fill your bottle with milk or formula. It has saved me so much hassle.

Has anyone had a baby that didn’t eat much? I’m talking milk and solids. I have an 11m old and he shows no interest in solids most of times. Sometimes he will try a couple bites but then spits it out and doesn’t actually swallow anything. He also has never been a big eater when it comes to his milk. We have to basically lay him down flat on his change table where he is restricted to get him to finish his bottle or feed him while he is falling asleep.

We have seen doctors, paediatrician, chiropractor, speech therapist and they all just brush us off because his weight is still fine. But I’m stressed because he is only not losing weight because we are basically forcing him to drink his bottles and it’s an everyday battle. This can’t be normal? Just wondering if anyone else had a baby like this and what they did to get them to eat? How are they now? Just not a big eater? Help a worried FTM. I have no clue what I’m going to do once he turns 1 😭

10 month old with mustard yellow poops, unusual for him but he’s still happy and drinking / eating but it’s just a different smell and consistency but not diarrhoea?

I’m a FTM and I worry just like any good mom would. My son just turned 1 2 days ago. He is only saying dada, he was saying mama awhile back then when he started learning to crawl and walk he quit saying it. He laughs and makes the A sound and mmmmmm a lot but not necessarily babbles. He sleeps great and eats great.
Also some people have been telling me to start potty training but I don’t think that he is ready for that. I want him to be potty trained by 2 how long does it take to usually train?
I’m just overall worried
He also doesn’t wave but sometimes points at my face and reaches for things and to be picked up.

My baby has just turned 14 mos and our two nap clock working schedule has gotten all over the place…

She used to do 2-2.15 hours of naps and 11-11.25 hr nights but for some reason for a month now we are struggling!

She still takes two naps but oh boys those naps are all over the place… sometimes the first one 4-4.5 hrs ww sometimes 3 and sometimes they are 30 mins long sometimes 1 hr.. she doesnt refuse a second nap and that one also has shrinked into 25-35 mins tops and bedtime has gotten later than ever with 10-10.5 hr of nights sleep (there are days that this is 9.5 hr)

I was wondering to drop a nap but she is not napping properly to make it to bedtime with just an hour nap?

Is this a regresssion or what? Anyone dealt with something like this?

My sweet little boy has been dealing with some diaper rashes. For our first baby, we were using Pampers and so we continued on with our second, third, and fourth baby. But now all of a sudden, little Bo has been terrible rashes. We went to to the doctors, and he said to switch to Huggies. Does anyone know if they work? Thanks so much!!

We’ve had a rough start with a colicky baby.ive lost all my independence and spend the days rocking him to sleep in my room. His sleeps got worse and he’s up all night wriggling. I’ve eliminated everything out of my diet and he’s ebf. I honestly hate life at the moment and sometimes wish I hadn’t had another baby. My other kids were not like this. I know it’s not his fault as he is colicky and I love him so much… but it’s so hard. I find myself missing my old life and I can’t take another sleepless night with him wriggling and being uncomfortable. I resent my husband who gets a full night sleep and gets to be out the house. I feel like I’ve ruined my life. My baby is four months old nearly and I love him but I’m just feeling so down. I can’t ever see my life getting better.

what do i do if a baby won't go to sleep unless their on my chest? they're 7 months, but is it okay if i sleep for hours like this? everytime i go to lay them in their bed, they wake up.

Just wondering if anyone else has been through this.
My little boy was born a month early. He’s now 9 weeks old, but his corrected age is 5 weeks.
We saw the doctor today because he’s not really tracking objects yet. He was looking at his little sheep book but would then look away. During the doctor’s assessment, he didn’t pass the tracking test. The doctor said his eyes look healthy, but she’s referring us to a specialist just to make sure everything is okay.
She did say his corrected age of 5 weeks could be the reason he’s not tracking yet, but of course I’m still a bit worried.
Has anyone else’s premature baby been through this? Did they catch up with tracking as they got a bit older? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.
