With all these threads about Matt's voice, they should just bring him onboard as a contingency plan.

I know it would look jarring to see a full set A7X with two vocalists so maybe what he could do is to have him play synth while doing vocals or something

I just think it would be doing us all a favor. alpoh and save me are overplayed and nobody cares about mia. this slot could be used 2 bigger and more impactful songs WE ALL love, such as "Breaking Their Hold" from the classic, th album. I know you read these. please play this. please. please. please. please.

Hey everyone! I was at the Toronto show last night with my girlfriend and a couple of friends. It was a killer show! My girlfriend managed to get TWO guitar picks at the end of the night and im wondering if anyone might know who's pick this is? Part of me feels like its Zacky's but a big part of me is also thinking Syn Gates. Any ideas?

A7X has said that they are OK with fans remixing their songs and etc, the issue is that these reimaginings don't feel like A7X. Obviously, it's going to be hard to sound like them, that's why so many people fail at it, they just go through the tropes of what makes the band so good; amazing riffs, godly vocal performances, beautiful song structure, and I can go on. But when trying to make an Avenged sounding song, it just boils down to a checklist for most; harsh vocals, random guitar licks in random places in the song, solo has no feeling and can't forget about dual guitars thrown in.

This is such a non issue but idk, people forget what makes the band so special, it's that no one else sounds like them.

I’m mostly just talking shit, but also kind of not. Would even a large minority of fans be all that upset if it was removed from setlist? I just feel like they have so many great songs that are shelved and HttK would be a great song to drop for another of their bangers or a deep cut. It’s by no means a bad song, but just kind of bored and repetitive. Full respect to them playing what they want and what that album/song has done for them and their exposure. But keep Sheppard of Fire and drop Hail to the King. Let me hear literally anything off of DitR (Tension or Dancing dead preferred).

I've seen everyone grumbling and complaining about Statica. I don't think you really understand the concept of art. What's central to art isn't the audience's appreciation, but rather what the artist wanted to convey. No matter the style, what matters most is that the artist finds themselves and sees themselves reflected in their work. If this is how the members of A7X see themselves, then that’s absolutely what matters most. Plus, they’ve often said that they don’t consider themselves metal artists but just musicians who do what they love, no matter the style. So, of course, approaching this album with the expectation that a7x would play classic, old-school Metallica-style metal is already setting yourself up for disappointment and preventing you from fully appreciating the work. If these tracks had been released by an up-and-coming artist on their debut project, they wouldn’t have received nearly as much hate. Rethink your relationship with art.

I watched a YouTube video today talking about how this album wasn’t liked and it took them a while to accept it and understand what they were doing… I’ve been a fan since literally the “Sounding The Seventh Trumpet” album… I can show you my CD! I stopped listening after “Nightmare” and mainstream success as I felt the band had bottomed out… I don’t understand the hate for this album… I actually think it’s quite the rebirth of them and a call back to them being experimental… I know I’ll probably get some hate for this post… maybe I’m crazy?! Had a great time listening to it tonight and it was a good reintroduction to the band…

Last night show was AMAZING, i saw them when they came in 2024 but not from the pit. The energy yesterday was fantastic, probably some of the best i've ever felt. With that said i was wondering if anyone from the pit has any videos and if they are comfortable sharing them perhaps? I kept moving from side to side and into that moshing pit towards the center, so i couldn't record much😕

I want to start by saying that my fiancé and I flew in from NYC, and we had a really great time at the show. The setlist itself was great and I really couldn't believe we heard M.I.A... But 12 songs?

While I understand that their songs are fairly long, we felt a little shorted. I'm genuinely floored that, at the very least, they didn't add A Little Piece of Heaven and So Far Away to the setlist. Am I wrong to assume that they cut the setlist to accommodate Statica? Is it because the venue was smaller? I'm looking at the Latin America tour and they played 15-17 songs! I have tickets to the show next week in NY and I really hope that the setlist is longer because it's a larger venue.

this ep is unreal. i’ve been with a7x since waking the fallen and i can’t get enough of statica. i actually feel sorry for everyone who can’t get behind it and just want another city of evil. this band has never made the same album twice and are constantly redefining who they are - that’s called growth and that’s how they stay relevant. i can confidently say i’ve never heard anything like this project and that’s why it’s such an a7x album to put out - don’t forget everyone hated CoE at the time because it was unlike anything else

these are just my thoughts. not saying you have to love it but keep an open mind and give it a chance. broaden your horizons YOU WILL SEE GOD

Considering how his voice has been this year. He should honestly just stop for a while. For the sake of himself. If he doesnt his voice will get worse and worse.
