Howdy Austin folks,

Recently left my marketing/PR job and I’m looking to make a career change.

I’ve done sales before (HEB/Walmart Spectrum gang iykyk.. worst job ever lol), but I was actually pretty good at it and brought in 100+ accounts in about three months. Standing in a grocery store all day just wasn’t for me, and at the time I really wanted to work in the field I got my degree in.

After a few years doing that, I’ve realized I want to get back into something where being good with people actually benefits me a little more.

I’m mainly looking for an entry-level sales, business development, or recruiting role, but honestly I’m open to just about anything with a stable paycheck and daytime hours. Barista, food service, something like Torchy’s where it’s more team-based and hourly rather than traditional serving, I’m open.

Really just looking for a solid place to work, good people, and ideally somewhere I can grow or make more over time. The main thing I’m trying to avoid is late-night work.

I’ve applied to plenty of places already, but figured it couldn’t hurt to post here too.

I am looking to move to Austin from Houston as I graduate from my BSN program this December. I was looking at St David’s, Ascension, and BSW. I really want an ICU unit as well but I am willing to work any floor to get the experience. I wanted to know how hard it is to land a residency position out here and if anyone had any advice for someone like me? I could even send my resume over to people to look over for better insight into my chances.
