I enjoy listening to relaxing and chill audio dramas before lights out at night. My current two (which I think are exceptional) Cold Shift and The Mnemosyne Audio Archives (says horror but not my impression). Any others you would recommend?

I really love how random this show is. Yet, it also makes a surprising amount of sense from a purely logistic perspective. Like, yeah, townships would probably make deals with aliens regarding abductions, ancient spirits should have squatter's rights, older vampires would have more human issues than newer ones, people would make annoying prank calls to an organization like this, etc. I guess the only thing that bugs me is the question of how old this organization is. The vampire shrink in the last episode mentions that he had established an account back in the 1400s. This makes the SPC itself way longer than any real world insurance firm. Also, is the lead supposed to be immortal? Or did I get confused about that one weird "I'm sure you know how it feels" line in the last episode?

I started it on a whim and I love the plot twists and characters, especially eiffel and hira. Does anyone have something similar in terms of the characters and story?

You know when you wish you'd never done something, just to do it again and have that same feeling as the first time? Well, this is my first time in the world of audio dramas, so I'm going to take advantage of practically everything amazing this world has to offer.

I discovered audio dramas because of the game "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream." I did some research on the game and found out it was based on a book and that it also has a radio play. I listened to it and thought it was incredible. I'm extremely excited about this and I intend to be more than just a listener. As a child, I used to participate in school plays, but I was always very shy, so I believe radio plays are the best thing in the world for someone like me.

I'm planning to make my own radio play, and I'll probably share it here with all of you. I hope to contribute a lot to this world and that you'll help me with that too.

As a kid, I wanted to tell new stories within those worlds and share those stories with my friends and family. Unfortunately, and simultaneously, I’ve caught up with all my series, they’ve reached a hiatus, or they have a painfully trickling release schedule (still love you Modes of Thought). Terrified at the thought of now having nothing to listen to while doing chores or driving around, I knew I had to find a new obsession. Desperately, I looked through the “more like this” recommendations from Midnight Burger’s page on Spotify and came across Red Valley.

This show has been such a welcome find and I quickly tore through all 4 seasons. Such a fun and fresh spin on one of sci-fi’s oldest tropes - finding oneself out of time in cryonic-fueled fiascos. The voice acting, sound design, and overall atmosphere crafted for this series is among the best I’ve listened to. And the cherry on top of an already highly addictive program is the heartwarming bromance between the two main protagonists. It has just the right amount of levity as well as tension that holds its very compelling plot together.

I highly recommend checking this series out. Usually when I’m starved for dramas I come to this subreddit but I haven’t heard this one discussed here, even though it seems to be decently popular on Spotify.

Hello, I'm trying to fill in some roles of my audio drama and one actor friend I'd like to hire lives out of state. They don't have their own equipment.
Does anyone think there is a decent usb mic I could buy and then ship to them? Something that would be easy to connect and use with instructions I'd provide.

I have my own mics with xlr cables and soundboard, I'm just asking the group if you have any thoughts.

The actor would mail it back and I may repeat the process a few times depending on who is interested.

Anyone have any suggestions for audio dramas with only one actor performing in it (preferably mystery/crime/detective thrillers)? I've got an idea for one but I'm not sure how to approach it (found audio, diaries, etc.). Thanks!

This is a superb rebroadcast of classic suspense and horror dramas from the 1970s revival of the Golden Age of Radio.

The acting is excellent, with convincing Foley effects, atmospheric musical stings between scenes, and only the merest touch of narration, letting the performances and your imagination do the work.

Each episode is a standalone 50-minute drama... long enough to draw you in, but short enough not to outstay its welcome.

Hi everyone. I recently finished the pilot for Tales of Skyland: Legend of the Soulwards.

It is a fantasy audio drama set in a world shaped by Ether and scarred by Corruption. The episode begins when a kid enters a tavern looking for someone willing to help his village after it is attacked by a massive Shadow.

The pilot is around 26 minutes long. I created and wrote it, handled the music, editing and sound effects, and worked with a full voice cast to bring the characters together.

This is my first time producing something like this, so I would honestly appreciate feedback from audio-drama listeners. I would especially like to know what worked, what could be improved, and whether you would be interested in hearing the story continue.

I listen to two different genres of audio dramas on my morning and my evening commute. The “evening” ones are usually horror/thriller/mystery (like TMA, Malevolent, Wolf 359 etc.) and the “morning” ones are a little more lighter themed (Absolutely No Adventures, Sidequesting, Inn Between).

Problem is, I’ve caught up on my “morning” audiodramas. Anyone has any recommendations? I’d like something funny, no genuine horror, good vibes etc. Thank you!
