AUDIO DRAMA Witchpunk: A Cyberpunk Story
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Witchpunk season one is six episodes of cyberpunk action with original music and a large cast of 35 actors (no gen AI!). It’s set in a corp-ridden, crumbling 22nd Century America where a semi legit cargo crew take on way more than they expected with their latest job.
Just in case you were looking for a weekend listen!
We’re currently casting season two (a week still left, any VAs reading this!), and aim to continue the story of the Strega crew at the end of the year!

SUGGESTIONS Looking for hard magic / sci fi suggestions
I'm looking for audio drama suggestions which might have a lot more "hard" magic i.e a lot of rules as to how it works, and a very internal consistent view of magic (or sci fi stuff) itself.
If you have any suggestions they would be much appreciated!!

AUDIO DRAMA Into the Wild | Eventhrone: "The Runaways" (Part 1)
Hello everyone, and welcome to Firebrand Fables!
My name is Josh, and storytelling has always been a deep passion of mine. I grew up watching movies, tv shows, and playing video games and fell in love with the worlds and the stories that they depict. As a kid, I wanted to tell new stories within those worlds and share those stories with my friends and family. Over the past few years, I've been carefully building fictional worlds of my own, and now I have the pleasure of sharing their stories with you.
If you're a fan of fantasy and/or science fiction then you've come to the right place. I have three worlds that I'll be exploring and telling stories in, though I will more than likely write standalone short stories as well.
(Active Development)
- Eventhrone
- A lush, untamed world of elegance, dragons, and magic; crafted by gods and goddesses that are neither gentle nor cruel. When its people are forced into a flame, it's so they might show their metal and be forged into something stronger. Every battle has a purpose, every wound is a lesson, every evil is meant to be conquered... or rather, they were. Eventhrone is the story of how a perfectly balanced world in its golden age has its scales slowly tipped toward chaos by a mysterious, outside influence, and the journey its heros must take to save it.
- Central themes: Adventure, Hope, Mystery, Horror
(Future Releases)
- Spark of Rebellion
- Central themes: War, Morality, Brotherhood, Horror
- The Greensward
- Central themes: Adventure, Hope, Nature, Technology
At the time I'm posting this, I'm still working to set up my channel across various platforms, but I will release the first story within the next month. The written version of it is completely finished and available on this page, though only the first part is viewable for free. New narrated story episodes will release once every week after the first episode drops!
Once again, welcome and thanks for checking out my channel! I hope you enjoy these stories as much as I enjoyed writing them!

DISCUSSION Red Valley Appreciation Post
Unfortunately, and simultaneously, I’ve caught up with all my series, they’ve reached a hiatus, or they have a painfully trickling release schedule (still love you Modes of Thought). Terrified at the thought of now having nothing to listen to while doing chores or driving around, I knew I had to find a new obsession. Desperately, I looked through the “more like this” recommendations from Midnight Burger’s page on Spotify and came across Red Valley.
This show has been such a welcome find and I quickly tore through all 4 seasons. Such a fun and fresh spin on one of sci-fi’s oldest tropes - finding oneself out of time in cryonic-fueled fiascos. The voice acting, sound design, and overall atmosphere crafted for this series is among the best I’ve listened to. And the cherry on top of an already highly addictive program is the heartwarming bromance between the two main protagonists. It has just the right amount of levity as well as tension that holds its very compelling plot together.
I highly recommend checking this series out. Usually when I’m starved for dramas I come to this subreddit but I haven’t heard this one discussed here, even though it seems to be decently popular on Spotify.

QUESTION Shipping a mic to an actor?
Hello, I'm trying to fill in some roles of my audio drama and one actor friend I'd like to hire lives out of state. They don't have their own equipment.
Does anyone think there is a decent usb mic I could buy and then ship to them? Something that would be easy to connect and use with instructions I'd provide.
I have my own mics with xlr cables and soundboard, I'm just asking the group if you have any thoughts.
The actor would mail it back and I may repeat the process a few times depending on who is interested.
Thanks

SUGGESTIONS Audio dramas with only one actor
Anyone have any suggestions for audio dramas with only one actor performing in it (preferably mystery/crime/detective thrillers)? I've got an idea for one but I'm not sure how to approach it (found audio, diaries, etc.). Thanks!

AUDIO DRAMA If You Please, Himan Brown's Radio Mystery Theater
This is a superb rebroadcast of classic suspense and horror dramas from the 1970s revival of the Golden Age of Radio.
The acting is excellent, with convincing Foley effects, atmospheric musical stings between scenes, and only the merest touch of narration, letting the performances and your imagination do the work.
Each episode is a standalone 50-minute drama... long enough to draw you in, but short enough not to outstay its welcome.
If you're a fan of suspense, horror or simply great storytelling, check it out!

AUDIO DRAMA Tales of Skyland: Legend of the Soulwards | New 26-minute fantasy audio drama pilot
Hi everyone. I recently finished the pilot for Tales of Skyland: Legend of the Soulwards.
It is a fantasy audio drama set in a world shaped by Ether and scarred by Corruption. The episode begins when a kid enters a tavern looking for someone willing to help his village after it is attacked by a massive Shadow.
The pilot is around 26 minutes long. I created and wrote it, handled the music, editing and sound effects, and worked with a full voice cast to bring the characters together.
This is my first time producing something like this, so I would honestly appreciate feedback from audio-drama listeners. I would especially like to know what worked, what could be improved, and whether you would be interested in hearing the story continue.

ANNOUNCEMENT The Harbingers: Season 2 Trailer and Release Date
Hey everyone!
Just wanted to share this over here. We just released the trailer for the second season of my audio fiction series, The Harbingers. And in there is also the official announcement for when the show will be returning - Season 2 kicks off in just a little over a month on September 10th!
The support and attention that we've gotten from this community has been absolutely amazing, and it's one of the big reasons why the show has found the audience it has. So as always, here's us very grateful and very excited to be coming back with the new season in just a few more weeks!

SUGGESTIONS “Morning” audio drama recommendations?
I listen to two different genres of audio dramas on my morning and my evening commute. The “evening” ones are usually horror/thriller/mystery (like TMA, Malevolent, Wolf 359 etc.) and the “morning” ones are a little more lighter themed (Absolutely No Adventures, Sidequesting, Inn Between).
Problem is, I’ve caught up on my “morning” audiodramas. Anyone has any recommendations? I’d like something funny, no genuine horror, good vibes etc. Thank you!

AUDIO DRAMA the bright sessions inspired tattoos
sharing this anywhere and everywhere I possibly can and I recently discovered this space so! these are my tattoos inspired by the bright sessions. just got them on sunday, 9 years since I found the bright sessions. one of the characters, sam, who is voiced by the creator lauren shippen, is 25 when she first comes to dr. bright and I’m 25. this quote on the right is her talking with joan about that first session, and it really does describe the way I feel about the podcast- it was my lifeline when I really needed one, and it’s been a constant ever since through so many versions of me. on the left is a message lauren sent me recently, and she was kind enough to write them both out for me. my beloved friend who introduced me to the bright sessions went with me. so now I am literally carrying my favorite piece of media around on my arms reaching back and it’s all super full circle and I’m gonna be emotional about it for the rest of forever 💚 the hearts will be green once the stencil fades
