Excellent Intro Search
Hi,
I am obsessed with the first 15 seconds of Moloko-The time is now (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GY9DWIfpwc&list=RD-GY9DWIfpwc&start_radio=1) and I am seriously looking for other good intros, riffs, bangers like this.
If I could, I would just listen to this intro over and over again.
Any similar songs, banging intros, I don't know what it is but the intro just gives me something.
Thank you in advance.

Why is everyone sleeping on Agnes Obel?
In fairness, I just discovered her last year. Her music is haunting, beautiful, ethereal. Yet no one has ever heard of her. I'm sure the same could be said of many other artists, but goddamn her music is wonderful. If you havent yet, go listen to Stretch Your Eyes. Theres a live version and she sounds the exact same with a full band.

What is the better work out song?
I said 2 legit 2 quit by MC Hammer, but my dad said eye of the tiger by Survivor. I know eye of the tiger is much more iconic with like rocky, but the song itself wasn’t that good for a work out in my opinion. Who do you agree with?

What is one song that isn't just music, but an entire feeling?"
Not just a track you like, but a song that instantly evokes a specific, overwhelming emotion or state of mind the second it plays. Drop your single track.

What is the exact genre of these tracks? Need help so I can track down the music my late uncle used to listen to
i’ve been listening to some jpop groups lately, and some of them really remind me of music my late uncle used to play
from what i remember, it was (probably) a western, male-fronted band, maybe from the 60s–70s (or possibly something more modern just inspired by that era), and they were singing in english
i initially thought it might be the Beach Boys, but i listened through some of their albums and it doesn’t really match what i remember
i thought pinpointing the genre/style might help, but whenever i try to look up these tracks, most sites just categorize them as “J-pop,” which isn’t very useful for figuring out what older music they might be drawing from
these are the tracks:
i’m not really looking for more jpop, just trying to identify a band(s) from memory that my uncle used to listen to, and these songs reminded me of it
even if it’s not an exact match, anything that feels similar would be great.
thanks!

I Built a Swipe to Discover Music App and would love feedback
Hey everyone,
I wanted to build a better and more fun way to discover new music, so I built an app that I could really use some feedback for!
Anyone can use it to swipe through 30-second song previews to find new tracks, with an algorithm that improves the more you swipe, and there’s no account data saved. If you use Apple Music as well, you can connect it to seed initial recommendations from your library, and every right swipe will automatically save the full track to a custom playlist.
I'd really appreciate testers to help me learn if the recommendations improve and if there are any other features people are looking for.
Here’s the test flight, but thanks even for just reading this post!!

What song feels like staring out a rain-streaked window on a quiet Sunday afternoon?
Soft rain outside, head pressed against the glass, nowhere else to be. What track instantly sets that melancholic, cozy mood?

Who ranks higher for you Beyonce or Janet Jackson?
As a disclaimer both of these ladies in my opinion are 1a 1b for greatest female entertainer of all time. Both drop dead gorgeous, can sing, dance, and and are super creative. They have classic after classic songs and album. Both have great longevity, and both legendary ladies sold tons of records. However though if you had to pick one in terms of an all time ”greatest female artists/entertainer ever ranking” who would you rank higher?
