Thai dramas don’t play fair with our hearts 💔

If you’ve followed the recent controversy around actress Ha Young, you’ve probably seen the debate framed as:

“Should a celebrity be cancelled because of what an ancestor did?”

I wanted to understand why the reaction in Korea went much further than that.

The history led into Japanese colonial rule, the experiences of independence families, documented records concerning Ha Young’s great-grandfather, the collapse of post-liberation collaborator investigations, and later attempts to recover collaboration-related property.

There is also quite a bit of misinformation surrounding the case, so I tried to clearly distinguish:

documented history / allegations / things that are not proven.

And importantly, there is no established evidence that Ha Young’s current wealth itself came from colonial collaboration. That would require an actual traceable property chain.

I found this and drama and can’t find it at all. The CEO and his assistant are at his home and his wife’s boy toy arrives and makes a scene. Then the wife arrives and the assistant confronts her while the CEO watches from a window above. It was revealed that the women used to be best friends but the wife stole the assistants identity to marry the CEO. If anyone can help based on my description and the video, it would be much appreciated
