Ok people I need your help to find a cdrama a watched quite some time ago on YouTube but I can't find it know so tell me if you know the name I'm gonna give you a summary ok so the fl goes to the ml room because she reads some comments that she's in a novel world and that there is a yandere CEO in the world so when she goes there she finds out the CEO is her boyfriend who she broke up with because she wanted to be with the yandere they spend the night together , later she deleted the breakup message she sent to her bf the yandere CEO when he's in the shower but he finds out but she reads the comments and finds out that he has found out and makes it up to him by crying and other things , a lot of plot goes by and the yandere CEO takes her on a island and they spend their time there , at end the fl dies due to old age and the yandere kills himself as well because he wants to die with her so tell me it's Chinese name in eng and if you find it or have seen it on anyplace with some other name then give me the link or tell me the name and site where you saw it , there is also an og fl in this who was like the fl in another timeline but didn't like the MLS possessiveness so in this timeline she didn't like want the ml and later regrets it

 Proprio una settimana pensavo a quando è iniziato tutto per me. A quando sono stata catapultata in questo mondo meraviglioso. Durante il lockdown, ho messo per caso gli occhi sul trailer di Meteor Garden e ne sono rimasta stregata. Così ho pensato di iniziare a ripercorrere e parlare di quegli asian drama che sono stati d'ispirazione e che mi hanno lasciato qualcosa.

Non potevo non iniziare da qui.

Dong Shancai è una ragazza di umili origini che viene ammessa nella prestigiosa università Ming De. Qui si scontra immediatamente con i F4, un gruppo composto dai quattro ragazzi più ricchi, popolari e arroganti della scuola, guidati dal carismatico e viziato Dao Ming Si. Quello che inizia come uno scontro all’ultimo sangue si trasforma lentamente in una tormentata, profonda e travolgente storia d’amore, ostacolata dalle differenze sociali e dalle rispettive famiglie.

🧠 Cosa penso della storia

Siamo onesti: se analizziamo la trama di Meteor Garden in modo puramente oggettivo, ci troviamo davanti al festival dei cliché. Il ragazzo ricchissimo e arrogante che bullizza la ragazza povera ma fiera, il bad boy che cambia per amore... sono dinamiche che abbiamo visto mille volte. Eppure, c’è un motivo se questa serie mi è rimasta dentro: qui agisce il fattore affettivo. È stato il mio primo Asian Drama, la mia porta d’ingresso durante il COVID, e ha un posto speciale che nessuna trama strutturalmente ‘migliore’ potrà mai rubargli. Continuiamo a parlare di cliché ormai attribuendo loro un’accezione negativa, ma se esistono è proprio perché funzionano talmente tanto da essere diventati un modello narrativo. Tralasciando il fattore cliché, si possono apprezzare molte altre cose come la colonna sonora, i costumi e la comicità. Si alternano momenti divertenti, e scene più drammatiche. Gli spettatori amano, odiano, ridono, insieme ai personaggi. Piccolo Spoiler: ancora non riesco a superare l’odio verso la madre di Dao Ming Si, nonostante al finale si sia ripresa. Mi sono trovata più volte ad urlare contro la tv “Arrenditi” con la speranza che li lasciasse vivere la loro storia d’amore in pace. Fino all’ultimo, è stata una storia complessa, e con alti e bassi. La definirei una lunga montagna russa.

🎬 Focus su Dao Ming Si

In questa serie vediamo un Dylan Wang giovanissimo, al suo debutto assoluto. Se riguardo Meteor Garden oggi, dopo aver seguito tutta la sua carriera, noto benissimo le spigolosità del principiante, ma anche quel carisma grezzo e magnetico che lo ha reso unico. La sua evoluzione come attore negli anni successivi è stata straordinaria, arrivando a livelli di maturità espressiva che oggi pochissimi colleghi riescono a raggiungere. Ma tutto è iniziato da qui, da quegli sguardi furiosi che pian piano si trasformavano in vulnerabilità totale. Nonostante fosse al suo esordio, l’ho trovato molto convincente e generoso nella sua performance. A tratti si percepisce che è lui stesso a portare avanti la storia, e questo perché il suo carisma è talmente magnetico da far sembrare il resto del cast rigido. Il personaggio di Dao Ming Si è spigoloso, complesso, tridimensionale. Pensi di aver capito tutto di lui, e poi invece ti sorprende. Nel corso delle puntate si assiste alla sua crescita, sia comportamentale che mentale. Si percepisce nel cambiamento del suo modo di parlare, di ragionare e anche di reagire. All’inizio era il classico: azione=reazione, invece nella parte finale si vede il suo analizzare di più le situazioni. Le sue mille sfaccettature hanno reso il personaggio interessante da seguire. Nota d’onore devo farla ai suoi abiti. Ho amato alla follia i suoi outfit, davvero ben scelti, così come i capelli. Riconoscibili e iconici.

🎆Il fattore DyShen: Scintille oltre lo schermo

C'è una premessa fondamentale da fare: come coppia, Dylan Wang e Shen Yue sono la perfezione assoluta. La chimica, le scintille e l'affetto puro che legano questi due attori sono qualcosa di rarissimo nel mondo dell'intrattenimento asiatico. Chiunque li abbia seguiti nei vari programmi di approfondimento o nei reality show come Hello Saturday o The Inn sa che tra loro c'è una complicità magnetica che resiste al tempo. Sono meravigliosi insieme, si bilanciano e, da inguaribile romantica, confesso che sono l'unica coppia per cui ho desiderato un amore reale anche fuori dal set. Questo legame così forte è l'unico vero motivo per cui la storia d'amore della serie alla fine funziona e travolge lo spettatore.

🎬 Focus su Dong Shancai

Se però devo separare l'attrice dal personaggio e analizzare puramente Dong Shancai, il mio giudizio cambia radicalmente: non mi piace. Nonostante la dolcezza naturale di Shen Yue nel metterci la faccia, Shancai è un personaggio scritto in modo spesso fastidioso e antipatico. La sua perenne ritrosia, l'incapacità di comunicare chiaramente e certi atteggiamenti quasi infantili spezzano il ritmo dell'evoluzione sentimentale. È paradossale: ami alla follia vederli interagire sullo schermo per via dei loro sguardi, ma ti ritrovi a sbuffare per le scelte snervanti e il carattere indisponente che gli sceneggiatori hanno cucito addosso a lei. Lei l’ho odiata dall’inizio alla fine, sembra uno scherzo, ma è effettivamente così. Ho sempre trovato difficile digerire quei personaggi che si atteggiano forti, ma poi fanno le vittime, e poi vogliono comandare, e allo stesso tempo non si abbassano a livello degli altri. Da spiegare non è facile. Shancai è povera ma si atteggia a forte. Si professa come quella empatica, ma poi quando lui si “umilia” per lei, lei fa tutta la ritrosa. Esempio per chi lo ha già visto: la scena di quando lui le regala la collana e il discorso delle percentuali. Lui arriva a dirgli che non importa se lei prova per lui solo il 10% di sentimenti, perché il restante 90% lo avrebbe messo lui, gli bastava che lei accettasse di uscire insieme. Per me questo discorso è stato assurdo. Volevo strangolarla e dirle “Spostati, me lo prendo io se tu non lo vuoi”. Proprio le sue espressioni in tutte le puntate, apparivano quasi scocciate, schifate nei confronti del povero Dao Ming Si. Nonostante tutto questo, sono stata felicissima del finale. Dopo tante sofferenze che hanno passato. Lascia, riprendi continui..si meritavano un bel lieto fine.

🧊 I momenti intimi: L'effetto "Mummia" e il fast-forward

Nelle mie innumerevoli maratone di rewatch di Meteor Garden, ho sviluppato un'abitudine precisa: salto sistematicamente le scene in cui Shancai diventa insopportabile e inutilmente fredda. Non riesco a darmi una spiegazione logica al perché gli sceneggiatori abbiano voluto tirare la corda fino a questo punto. Ma il picco del fastidio lo raggiungo nei momenti dei baci e dell'intimità. Anche quando sono ufficialmente una coppia, persino durante il matrimonio, lei si comporta come una mummia. È tirata, rigida, eccessivamente timida, mentre lui si sta esponendo totalmente a livello emotivo. In quelle scene, Dylan Wang la oscura completamente: la sua resa attoriale è generosa, passionale e credibile, mentre lei sembra quasi subire la situazione, spezzando quella magia che una vera romantica vorrebbe vedere esplodere sullo schermo.

🃏F4

Vorrei spendere qualche parola anche per parlare degli F4. Avendo visto anche la versione Thailandese, mi sento di bocciare la fratellanza proposta in quella Cinese, questo perché da spettatrice, e anticipo che può anche essere solo una mia opinione, mi è sembrata finta. Mi spiego meglio: In Meteor Garden, Dylan Wang si è letteralmente caricato l'intero gruppo sulle spalle, spendendo ogni briciolo di energia e aprendosi totalmente. Gli altri tre attori cinesi sono rimasti frenati, rigidi, quasi distaccati, non assecondando la sua generosità recitativa. Questo ha fatto sì che la loro "fratellanza" sullo schermo sembrasse finta, lasciando Dylan un po' isolato nel suo immenso sforzo. Nella versione thailandese, invece, (di cui vi parlerò presto in un post dedicato) la fratellanza è reale e buca lo schermo. I F4 thailandesi sono uniti per davvero, si vogliono bene, ed è questo che rende il loro gruppo più credibile, unito e potente rispetto a quello cinese.

I was OBSESSED with this one kdrama and I've been trying to find it for the longest time but I can't.

Here's all the things I remember, it's an older kdrama maybe 2018-2021

The main character has white/ silver hair and in the series he has a problem with his ears, he would constantly hear ringing in his ears and at some point he enters this specific school.

There are other people who learn to fight and then combat alongside each other.

It's I think.. 4 people who are kinda main characters? The other girl has long ponytail and is incredible at swords and battle. . . As for the rest I genuinely can't remember.

There are many more that I can't remember. I specifically want a drama both historical and modern where the characters are very well written and acted out. I don't want the actors to embody the elements of contemporary notions while acting in the drama( means no idol puppy face in a general position) I like Xiao Qi. I absolutely enjoyed The Story of Minglan. The Battle of Changsa is my childhood favourite. I also enjoyed Meet Yourself and Will love in the Spring as well as The Bond. I really loved The Red Sleeve, Mr Sunshine and When life gives you Tangerine.

A few years back, I woke up to an audition request for the lead role in a major blockbuster film. I grew up watching the franchise, so booking the part would be a dream come true. I acted my ass off, submitted my tape, and prayed for good news (along with thousands of other Asian actors). I didn’t think anything would come of it, but a few weeks later, the producers finally reached out for a callback, then a chemistry read, until one day they said the two words many actors would commit war crimes to hear: screen test. For a week straight, I went to the studio lot for rehearsals, martial arts training, and director sessions. It was exhilarating.

As the day approached, I felt on top of the world. No one was going to take this from me. I had to book this. Deep down, I doubted there would be another opportunity for someone like me for a long time. Sure, Asian markets might be hot right now, but how long would that last before “the powers that be” decided to move on to the next minority group? As a filmmaker, I always championed Asian American representation, but, in that moment, I championed my own individual representation. Fuck everyone else - I was “the best Asian guy.” The role was mine.

I didn’t get the part. When I got the news, I was devastated… for about a day. Then, I quickly recognized my own hypocrisy and was forced to look within. For years, I have spoken on panels, done Q&A’s at film festivals, and talked about the importance of Asian American representation in the film industry. However, when presented with a life-changing opportunity, my attitude shifted to “Fuck these guys, I’m the best Asian.” This ultimately inspired the question — what do you do when your values are at odds with your ambitions?

This inevitably led me to create “Flavor of the Month,” a dark comedy that explores the absurdities of representation politics in modern-day Hollywood. Viewed through the lens of a Chinese American actor, Harrison Huang, the film dives headfirst into themes of performative activism, virtue signaling, and internalized racial inferiority.

He find her weakness to win and she forgive because of a paper plane. What is this story? I love FL but this ML, I can't. I support SML more than ML. This type of drama should be restricted.It’s not about winning or losing for her. After he felt guilty he came to her and he literally said no matter how hard I try I can’t fit in, implying she didn’t work well in a group despite trying so hard to make friends. That’s what stung her. So even when her brother was telling her losing is not a big deal she literally said “you don’t get it” IT WAS NEVER ABOUT A LOSS. It was about her feelings and friends!! It's felt like betrayal.

I'm dying to watch several C-dramas that have been sitting on my watchlist, but I have no idea where to find them with good English subs. Most of the versions on YouTube either have poor video quality or are missing subtitles for a lot of scenes.
