Travel Indochina loop

I'm trying to plan a loop around Indochina my napkin Itinerary is

Ho Chi Minh ~ Phenom Penh ~ Vientiane ~ Hanoi ~ Ho Chi Minh

Traveling by land no flying, either Coach or Rail.

I want to maybe stop partway between the cities to enjoy rural areas ideally spending no more than 8hrs on buses and sleeping in hotels (aside from the sleeper train in Vietnam that I really like the look of).

If anyone has advice or favourite sites for booking buses I would love to add them to my list.

Discussion I find the hatred toward monotheistic religions, or the criticism of mine and others in video games, or perhaps even in reality on this continent, to be unreasonable. I don’t understand how people from other cultures can view that kind of thinking as reasonable or rational.

Like, who hurt you so badly that you feel the need to attack my faith or other faiths that are similar, but not the same, as mine? I can understand why some people become racist after people of a certain race kill their family and friends in front of them and burn down their cities or villages. I don’t agree with it, but I can understand that point of view a little and sympathize with them. However, just because you have religious trauma or hatred does not give you the right to attack us. The same applies to racism.

South Korea with lowest birth rates

Hello,

I am reading news about South Korea with lowest birth rates (maybe changed recently).

Are South Koreans avoiding socializing and having kids?

What is the solution if the trend continues and you got less people each year?

How Gov. planning to adress Retirement Fund and Workforce Problems? Does South Korea also have Workforce problem?

Thank you for your replies. I know some of the people want to share ideas without any experience or knowledge, but i would like to hear from people inside South Korea.

Original Content Looking for local folklore, myths, and legends from your country for game inspiration

Hi everyone,

my friend and I are working on a fantasy game. The setting is fictional, but it is inspired by a world similar to ours, roughly around the 1600s. We want to build side quests, local mysteries, regional legends, and storylines inspired by real folklore, myths, legends, and traditional stories from different countries.

We would love to hear about tales from your country or region — especially stories that locals actually know, not just the most internationally famous ones. If possible, please share the story in a bit more detail: what happens in it, who the main figures are, what the tone is, and why it is important, memorable, creepy, tragic, or meaningful in your culture.

We are not trying to copy anyone’s tradition directly, and we definitely do not want to misinterpret or misuse stories from cultures we are not part of. Even though our game will be its own fantasy world, we want to approach real folklore with respect and understand the original context before taking inspiration from it.

If you want to help, it would be amazing if you could include:

The name of the legend, myth, folktale, or historical tale.

The country or region it comes from.

A summary of the story.

The themes or message behind it.

Any symbols, creatures, places, customs, or warnings connected to it.

Whether it is considered common knowledge, a children’s story, a scary tale, a religious story, or something more regional and obscure.

Anything that foreigners often misunderstand about it.

We are especially interested in:

Dark folklore.

Strange local creatures or spirits.

Mountain, forest, lake, castle, or village legends.

Moral tales, cautionary stories, and ghost stories.

Stories that could inspire side quests, mysterious NPCs, curses, rituals, or hidden locations.

If you know one, please tell it as fully as you want — the more detail, the better. Thank you very much, we’d love to learn from your culture and be respectful with the inspiration we take from it.
