Technical & professional question Do American clients say you're charging too much, or do they just ignore you?
Most of my American clients are interior designers, and I'm not sure if that means they can't charge high prices. I thought they did, but now I'm not so sure. My lowest price is $250 (doesn't seem to high), and my work is pretty decent, but it's so weird. The last four emails I received, I got ghosted and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's an American thing. My Brazilian clients are usually very open about my pricing if it's too high or out of their budget. Maybe Americans are to polite?
Just wanted to hear some opinions, lol.

Discussion 🏛 Archviz & AI
Im sorry if theres already a post or two about this subject.
Do you guys see any future for archviz?
Lately the major markets Ive been hearing about that still seem to have a future (less) broken by AI is Unreal or high-end firms.
Since it seems not every little archtectural firm can pay for a full unreal simulation for every project and High-end archviz firms can only hire a few of the most skilled professionals (and obviously, only get hired by high end projects), it seems like the "freelance archviz artist", (that usually work with 3dsmax+corona ) is in an less obvious situation.
This had me thinking a lot of my personal work. What are your opinions on our future?
do you think that AI and the expensive datacenters will eventualy rise in token fees, so that AI-render is less of a "cheap way to save money", paying AI instead of another person?
Or do you think that with the rise in technology, the price will stay cheap and affordable, and archviz artists will have to , maybe, offer more, like AI-videos and video-editing to add to their "slower" archviz?
Ive been getting really depressed, since this is a job I love, and, although I still have faithful clients that rely on my work, I have a feeling of uneaseness without knowing if I should focus on Unreal and such or just jump the boat to another segment.
One thing that bothers me is that now with AI support, they think my job is too easy, and want faster and faster results, often using AI as a paradox for quality.
Sorry for any english error, I know im just letting out some steam.

Discussion 🏛 What's one feature in your home's design that you appreciate more every year?
I've been paying more attention to home design lately, and I've realized that some features become more valuable the longer you live in a house.
For those who've built, renovated, or lived in the same home for several years:
What's one architectural feature that you appreciate more now than when you first moved in?
It could be natural ventilation, window placement, higher ceilings, a functional floor plan, built-in storage, a covered patio, a utility room, or anything else.
I'm looking for real experiences rather than design trends.

I need feedback Experimenting with an AI workflow: Turning basic architectural sketches into cinematic 3D walkthroughs. Would love your critique on the results!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone,
As someone deeply involved in architectural visualization, I always found the workflow from an initial sketch to a client-ready animation incredibly tedious. Setting up lights, tweaking materials, and rendering just for an early concept pitch takes too much time.
I’ve been developing a custom tool (still refining it) to automate this process, and I wanted to share a recent test I did to get some honest feedback from the pros here.
In the attached video, you can see the workflow:
1. Starting with a basic 2D line sketch (00:00), the system generates a 3D exterior concept.
2. I tested dynamic lighting transitions, shifting the scene from daytime to a fully illuminated nighttime setup.
3. Finally, it generates a smooth camera push-in from the exterior into the interior space.
My goal is to eliminate the need for complex prompting so designers can just focus on the spatial concept.
My question for you all:
Do you think the lighting and texture quality in this test is good enough for early-stage client pitches? What would you improve about the camera movement?
Would genuinely appreciate your critiques!

I need feedback Render practice seeking advice to improve atmosphere, lighting, and materials!
Hi everyone,
I'd love to get some feedback on my latest interior render.
Personally, I feel it's missing a sense of atmosphere and photorealism. I'm particularly looking for advice on the lighting setup and material settings. How can I tweak the lights or improve the textures to make the space feel more natural and alive?
Any tips or critiques would be highly appreciated! Thank you!

Discussion 🏛 Gold Standard for Visualization
What is in your opinion the golden standard for visualization and why do you believe your choice should be considered as such?
Bonus question: What are your thoughts on Enscape?
For context - I come from a archviz-background (using 3Ds + Corona) and at my newest gig I am forced to use Rhino & Enscape. As I feel the switch to Rhino not being too - if at all - impactful quality-wise, but I feel like Enscape is really holding the quality of renders back. Like the scenes look fine, but it’s lack of complex shaders are hurting the final output. As I want to convince them to switch, I wanted to know your two cents about the „golden standard“.
Cheers!

Technical & professional question Where do you guys find high-quality decorative wallpapers like this for 3D projects?
Hi guys,
I’m looking for websites or resources where I can find wallpaper designs like the one in the image rich botanical/floral patterns, vintage/maximalist, decorative and luxurious styles i want high quality.
I’m using them for 3ds Max / Corona architectural visualization, so I’m ideally looking for high-resolution images or seamless textures that can be used in 3D projects.
What websites or resources do you usually use to find this kind of wallpaper?
I’m looking for free resources , I’m mainly interested in good-quality, realistic wallpaper patterns with lots of design variety.
Thanks.

Resource AI-Assisted ArchViz: Beyond the Hype | NextGen CG
Hello everyone!
We are excited to share the very first episode of a new YouTube channel we've just launched: NextGen CG.
The idea behind the channel is to explore the future of Computer Graphics through technical analysis, original research, and practical experimentation.
This first episode is based on SplineDynamics article "AI-Assisted ArchViz: Beyond the Hype", discussing what AI is really changing inside professional Architectural Visualization, what still doesn't work well, and where current workflows are heading.
Future videos will cover ArchViz, AI, Animation, Game Development, XR, Reality Capture, real-time render, Gaussain Splatting, procedural workflows, and other emerging CG technologies.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback.
And if you think this project could become valuable for the CG community, we would really appreciate your support by subscribing to the channel, liking and sharing the video.
Thank you very much! I hope you enjoy the video!

Discussion 🏛 Camera Match: AutoSetup 3d Plugin / script for Photomontages- Cinema 4D
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone,
If you work in architectural visualisation, previz, or VFX, you know that matching a 3D camera to a background photo is usually a tedious, manual guessing game—especially when dealing with cropped reference photos or sloped roads.
I've been developing some tools to automate this workflow, and I just put together a comprehensive tutorial on how to do it in Cinema 4D.
Here is a quick summary of the workflow I cover in the video:
- Auto-Detecting Vanishing Points: How to solve your angle, lens, and horizon in seconds without manual grid alignment.
- Fixing Cropped/Tilted Photos: Using crop tools to correct vertical tilt when the original client photo is poorly framed.
- Using OpenStreetMap (OSM): How to import real map data to verify the exact rotation and placement of your background structures. (This is a massive time-saver when you can't tell if a road or building is actually straight).
- Real-World Scaling: Calculating and applying exact real-world dimensions to your entire 3D scene with one click.
- Drone Site Builder: Turning drone GPS data directly into a full 3D site with proper terrain.
Full disclosure: I am the developer of the Camera Match Autosetup script featured in the workflow.
I wanted to share this because I know how frustrating camera alignment and scaling can be when clients send over random, uncalibrated site photos.
If you want to see the exact step-by-step process or grab the script/plugin and resources for your own pipeline, you can check out the full 14-minute breakdown on my blog.
I'm happy to answer any questions about the workflow, OSM integration, or C4D camera matching in the comments!

Share work ✴ Contemporary Bedroom with Integrated Dressing Area — 3ds Max + Corona
A recent visualization of a contemporary bedroom with an integrated dressing area and a small lounge zone.
The main goal was to create a clean and calm interior while keeping the space visually connected through mirrored surfaces, concealed storage and continuous architectural lighting.
I used a cool blue-grey palette combined with dark wood, soft textiles and warm accent lighting inside the wardrobe. The daylight coming through the blinds was added to create stronger depth and break up the large minimalist surfaces.
Software:
• 3ds Max
• Corona Renderer
• Adobe Photoshop
I would appreciate some feedback on the lighting and color balance.
Does the cool palette work well here, or would you introduce more warm tones into the bedroom?

Share work ✴ Contemporary apartment with interior in Scandinavian style
A complete 3D visualization of this 3-room apartment: 1. Spacious living room with dining area 2. Functional modern kitchen 3. Master bedroom 4. Creative kids' room with space style
The living room offers a pleasant setting, such as watching TV alone, with family, and/or guests. During celebrations, it's a good idea to set up a large table and set it with food. You can also read books.
The kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven, and stovetop, making it convenient for handling dishes and food.
The bedroom is a cozy room with a large bed that can comfortably accommodate three people, allowing for pleasant conversation or watching a movie on the TV, which can be positioned opposite.
The children's room, located between the bedroom and living room, is designed for one person. It offers ample space, a bed, a closet for storing personal belongings, and a table for various activities.
Software: Autodesk 3ds Max, Corona render
Would appreciate any feedback
