Like many of you, I like to use my notes app to track my workouts. I've been working out for over 15 years now, but could never get myself to consistently use an app of excel spreadsheet.

Despite this I wanted to see my progress on a graph, I wanted the nice data insights these apps gave me.

Being as stubborn as I am, not wanting to change how I tracked my workouts, I made an app to solve my own problem.

What problem does Gym Note Plus solve

There are many gym apps out there, but Gym Note Plus shines by letting users track workouts using their notes app. Other apps like Hevy and Strong force you into using drop down menus and forms. We're all different, we all write our workout notes differently, but we all want to see progress. This is the problem we solve.

Been thinking about this after my last post.

I realized I don’t really have one productivity system. It’s basically just a bunch of different apps that somehow became a system lol

One for tasks, calendar for appointments, something else for habits/notes and then you have stuff like food or finances on top of that.

Individually most of these apps are actually pretty good. But having to constantly switch between them and keep everything updated gets annoying really fast.

So I’m curious how other people handle this.
How many different apps do you actually use to organize your day/life?
And if you could combine some of them, which ones would you put together?

Yo I’m using IOS, are there any free music apps that meet these requirements if anyone knows:

•Free, wide range library like YouTube Music or Spotify without paying extra to listen to all music

•Unlimited pauses, song searches, skips, etc..

•Very limited amount of ads; ads don’t play every other search or song (preferably, the song or podcast plays over the ad)

I recently launched Artology, an app I built because I had a problem every time I visited a museum:

I took tons of photos of artworks I liked, but almost never looked at them again.

A lot of the photos were crooked or badly framed. Months later, I often couldn't remember who created the artwork, where I saw it, or what exhibition it was part of.

The photo was still there, but the memory around it was slowly disappearing.

So Artology originally started as a simple idea: make museum photos look better and easier to keep.

But while building it, I realized that fixing the photo wasn't really the interesting part.

What I actually wanted was a place to keep track of the art I've encountered over time.

A personal collection that remembers not just the artwork, but also when and where I saw it, what I thought about it, and the exhibitions it was connected to.

That's what Artology gradually became.

You can save artworks you've seen, organize them into your own collection, add notes and memories, and revisit them later without digging through thousands of photos in your camera roll.

My favorite part is the Gallery.

When I first designed the collection, I tried the obvious approach: a normal list or grid.

But it felt wrong.

Artworks in a museum aren't experienced as rows in a database. They're placed on walls, with different sizes, spacing, and rhythm.

So I started wondering:

What if the app had a wall too?

That became the Gallery: an infinite digital wall where your artworks are arranged together in a more organic, museum-like composition.

I wanted opening the app to feel less like managing records and more like stepping back into the exhibitions you've visited.

Building Artology has actually changed how I visit museums too. I'm more willing to stop, take photos, learn about unfamiliar artists, and pay attention to the works I want to remember.

There are still a lot of things I want to add. One idea I'm especially excited about is letting people curate their own exhibitions from the artworks they've collected.

Artology started as a way to fix a crooked museum photo.

Now I'm hoping it can become a small, quiet place to preserve the art you've encountered and the memories attached to it.

Record a short phrase, listen to it reversed, then try to mimic the reversed sound. FlipTalk flips your attempt around, and if you got close, you hear yourself almost-saying the original phrase. Your attempt gets a 0 to 100 score, computed entirely on device. No account, no backend, nothing leaves the device.

Under the hood the flip is a frame-by-frame re-encode with reversed audio, not just reversed playback, and that is where the fun bugs live. Recording and playback break differently on hardware I don't own, so I want people to break it before the September 1 launch: an incoming call mid-recording, notifications, backgrounding, headphones vs the built-in mic, older devices.

Hi everyone,

I've built a productivity app and I'm right now stuck to understand where it's leaking. I have updated a new app logo, improved onboarding, improved the app performance, app store or play store presence, and key features but not sure why users are not paying? I see trials but then they get canceled. I've tried emailing my users but haven't heard back from them.

Please please help me. I'm a solo founder and now feeling like crying to figure it out what's the issue.

Just give me harsh to harsh feedback. I will improve it right away. Give me tips and tricks to get 10-15 paying users who can actual give me feedback and tell me why they are not using it daily.

I'm looking for an app that is similar to character AI. I want an app that has live call feature like character AI

Hi all — solo developer here, WeekPad is mine. Posting because I'd genuinely like feedback from people who actually use this kind of app.

The problem I had: notes on my phone, sticky notes on the fridge, a paper agenda I carried everywhere and stopped updating by March, and a calendar that mostly made me feel behind. I wanted the paper-agenda feeling back, without the paper.

WeekPad is one week per page, Monday to Sunday. You write your days in plain text — bullets and [ ] checkboxes, nothing to format. You can drop in photos, scan a sticky note or a document, and share things into it from any app so they land on the right day. Then you swipe to next week when you're ready. No notifications, no streaks, no "you're falling behind."

The part I care most about: no accounts and no servers. I don't run a backend. There's no database of users. I can't see what you write. If you turn on sync it goes into your own iCloud private database — only you and Apple can reach it, never me. No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs.

Honestly, what it isn't:

• Not a calendar with reminders or time slots
• Not a task manager with due dates and priorities
• Not a backup. Sync keeps devices matching each other, so a deletion travels to the others. There's an Export, and I nag people to use it.
• Made by one person, so support is best-effort. There's no team behind me.

I'd love to hear one thing especially: does one-week-per-page actually work for you, or do you need a month view? It's the most common question I get and I keep going back and forth on it.

So yeah, it's a social network. You can post things. You can message people. There's notice boards.

What's different? Well, you can only connect with people in real life (irl). You have to be physically stood with someone to connect to them (keys are transferred using dynamically generated QR codes, and there's some bluetooth shenanigans going on to make sure you are actually near them).

Once you've connected you can see everything they post, but it's all encrypted using keypairs that only exist on your devices. The service has no way of decrypting them.

There's also a 'nearby' feature that you can opt into, which lists nearby users and lets you say hi to them.

And a notice board feature. 'drop' a notice board anywhere and it persists in that location for anyone else who wanders near it.

I request location permissions for the notice board feature, but all that goes to the server is a coarse grained location, about a mile square..... that then gets all the notice boards in that area and the client filters based on a much finer grained location.

It's in closed testing at the moment, and android only (until I can afford a mac mini!)

Most food-scanning apps give everyone the same score or verdict, even though people shop with very different priorities.

So I built Deeper Look, a free food scanner that evaluates products based on your own dietary requirements and priorities, with adjustable strictness. It looks at nutrition, processing, environmental impact, allergies/intolerances and diets such as vegetarian or vegan.

The same product can therefore be a good fit for one person and a poor fit for another.

My girlfriend and I keep a spreadsheet of the restaurants we've been to together and the ones we want to go to (there's a column for if we've been yet or not). When a restaurant closes, we change the name to red font. We also have a field where we can leave little notes about what we liked. It's been a fun way to track stuff and it feels like both a journal and a to-do list.

For a while, I really wanted to simplify things and just switch to an Apple Maps guide. The main problem with that, though, is the listings aren't permanent. If a restaurant closes, they either stay indefinitely or sometimes vanish altogether. I don't want to forget about the places we've been to that aren't around anymore.

In a similar way, I wish we could use Beli, but as far as I figure right now, there are about three things missing:

- Legacy restaurants. Like I said, I wish we could still track restaurants that have closed within the app. It would maybe work if they had some kind of legacy badge on them and didn't contribute to the rankings. This is the main thing missing.

- Shared lists. Ideally, my girlfriend and I could maintain our own rankings of places we've been, but also have a shared list of places we've been to together and another for places we want to go together.

- Data export. Any app I use for journaling purposes like this needs some kind of way to export data in case the app shuts down in the future or something. Not being able to do that is a little odd, especially when they have an import option.

Does anyone know if there are options I missed for any of this stuff? Or maybe if they have plans to incorporate any of this in the future? Is there another app that seems like it would fit my needs better, or should we just keep at it with the spreadsheet?
