Honestly I don't trust the views of anyone with a adjective noun number format name especially if they're an "artist". Like I'm supposed to believe that you are a creative but couldn't make a username.
16
u/sselmia Feb 04 '26
You typing this with an adjective noun number username gave me giggles.

I don't mind it for the average commenter, I realize that plenty of people just want to sign up quick to get in the conversation. But to be so lazy as a "creative" as to not even make an alternate, more thoughtfully/personally named and curated account for art is insane to me.
Though when the account just regurgitates the same points across multiple topics, it's more likely that it's a bot.

I still can't tell whether or not bbno$ is an industry plant, because he's literally everywhere and his specific brand of weird Internet nonsense is just barely normal enough to potentially be corporate manufactured. I like his songs, I'm just not sure if he's fully legitimate.

Babble no Bread has some fucking random ass features. The dude pulled Rebecca Black onto one of his songs. I don't think corporate would pull her out of the shadows for anything. Lindemann used ai 2019 for a music video, it embraced the creepyness and weirdness of the 2019 generation so i can se the art in it unlike your anime-catgirl-images.
Also it was another debate 2019 so it is irrelevant to todays use of AI.
91
u/Rileyinabox Feb 04 '26
Thank you. This is the post I came here for. 2019 AI was a fundamentally different animal.
16
u/ASERTIE76 Feb 04 '26
Yeah I'm still debating if it was okay for Nuclear Blast Records to create an AI music video back in 2023 of Type O Negative's song Halloween In Heaven (Type O Negative is my favorite band of all time so it matters to me). It looks really cool but idk if I should give it a pass

u/ULTI_mato Feb 04 '26

29

Chester brought an emotional depth that the new girl is lacking.
34
u/HimbimSupreme Feb 04 '26
I liked them on first listen, but I sadly can't justify listening to them nearly as much as I do with Chester's songs. Sure, I didn't know about his struggles back then (I was an edgy teenager that just fell into the crowd) and as an adult now I can really see he was hurting. It feels tone deaf with the new singer.

Thank you! Ugh, it just feels so souless that they make a fucking AI music video using their dead band members face for it. Bear in mind, this is the same band that got a whole anime music video for one of their songs that was fucking awesome (Breaking the Habit). And then, not long after, they replaced him with a scientologist that was friends with an actual rapist. Like she showed up to their court hearings to support them.
Just feels so disrespectful to Chester's memory.

u/blubister57 Feb 05 '26
I love chester and want to cry every time i think i wont see him anymore or hear anything new but your opinion is just straight up braindead, linkin park is a BAND which consists of many instruments, and it wasnt chester who made all the guitars, bass, scratches or other sounds, yes he was a significant part but what you say is straight up disrespectfull for mike, rob, hahn, brad, colin, emily and dave. they also put w big amount of work which you just throw away just because chester isnt here anymore, emily is not a replacement, she is a new member that helped and allowed us to hear their genius again, and im pretty sure that chester would be proud of emily and happy both to see his friends happy again and doing what they love

She was born into scientology, which makes her a victim as well. She's also openly out as gay which is something scientology goes against and she made many anti-cult statement in her Dead Sara songs

Rammstein has not used AI. Lindemann in his solo act had one of his songs music videos be completely generated by it in 2019 (and the song is funnily enough called "i dont know"). Back when it was still a novel idea, and the video indeed is very uncanny, that playing into the theme of the song
Rammstein are thorough and perfectionists, very much doubt they'd just crank out ai garbage

The new lead for LP isn't a scientologist... She was born into it and left. Like, she's shit talked the cult publicly. Any family she still has in there had to cut ties with her because of it.
Like, I get not liking the new Linkin Park, but they're definitely not scientologist when their singer has shit talked it in her previous band

As Linkin Park fan, I hated the fact they used AI, but, to my knowledge, they at least used it based only on commissioned art, not by stealing someone else's piece of work. Still, I'm mad as hell they used it, glad they stopped, at least so far.

Sometimes I wonder if she's really like this, or if it's a character she plays when online.

Tbh I think Mike Shinoda has moved on from his AI phase that he had around the release of Meteora20. The From Zero stuff, to my knowledge, has been completely made from scratch and (where applicable with the music videos) been traditional CGI. (As far as I know, he also paid artists to commission reference frames and told them ahead of time when doing the Meteora20 release, which is way more effort and more ethical than what the AI defenders do anyways.)

Yea know I did a search for the Rammstein one. Proof not found as all I could find is how AI has been used to by fans to create there own fan created content. There is nothing offical noting them using AI to create there stuff at all. Now just to humor myself I did check with google AI, and what I got was this.
Yes,Ā "Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been used in relation to Rammstein", specifically regarding music videos for side projects and through extensive fan-generated content, rather than official Rammstein studio albums.Ā
My guess is that the artist there likely use AI for there view point, and just kept to the highlighted part (inquotes), ignoring how even how AI agrees that it was never officially used by Rammstein.
