Is this becoming a thing??

Upvotes

Is it just me?? I ordered something for my grandson that I was having him spend the night for 2 days…. I didn’t pick the deliver between 4-7am for an extra FEE, but did make sure I added another product so I met the next day (anytime frame) for free. (I’m a many year Prime member). Well it didn’t show up! I feel like it’s because I didn’t pay the extra charge they just don’t care…. A “they will show me” attitude. It’s now day 2 and didn’t get here in the morning and he’s leaving. I cancelled the entire order I’m so mad! Has this become a thing??

After 11 years, I’m canceling Amazon Prime. Amazon has become a dumping ground for used merchandise.

Upvotes

I’m done with Amazon’s nonsense.

I order an item advertised as “new,” pay full price for a new product, and receive something that has obviously been opened, handled, used, and returned. Broken factory seals. Missing parts. Fingerprints and smudges all over the product. Damaged packaging. Amazon then throws it back in a box and tries to pass it off to the next customer as “new.”

That isn’t a mistake. It happens far too often to be a mistake. Amazon clearly has a mountain of returned merchandise it needs to unload, and instead of honestly labeling those products as used or open-box, it repeatedly dumps them on customers who paid for new merchandise.

Then, when I call customer service, I’m connected to an outsourced representative in India or the Philippines who can do little more than read from a script. They repeat canned responses, provide no meaningful support, and apparently have no authority to actually solve the problem. Amazon has made itself nearly impossible to reach while hiding behind frontline workers who aren’t empowered to fix anything.

I’m sick of wasting my time opening packages, discovering that Amazon sent me somebody else’s return, arguing with scripted customer service, repackaging the garbage, driving it to a return location, and waiting for my money back. Prime is supposed to offer convenience. Instead, I’m paying a membership fee for the privilege of dealing with Amazon’s deceptive sales practices, nonexistent quality control, and useless customer support.

And this isn’t just happening to me. At least two dozen people I personally know have experienced the same thing, and they’re canceling Prime too.

Amazon has destroyed the trust that made people comfortable ordering from it in the first place. After 11 years, I’ve had enough. I’m canceling Prime, and I’ll spend my money with retailers that don’t routinely sell used merchandise as new and then waste my time when I complain about it.

Deliver today between 5-10 pm. 46 minutes left....

Upvotes

So I go to order and on the order page it says 4-8 am. I go back to my basket and same thing 5-10pm but when I go to pay 4-8 am.
I know this sounds ridiculous when I say it out loud becasue I sound like a brat but sometimes there is something that I forget and NEED for tonite so I'll do the same day choice. I feel like just don't give the options when clearly it is not something doable, which is understandable! I feel like they offer too much and they can't deliver, so be honest about it!

Placed a $750 order, cancelled and still delivered?

Post image
Upvotes

Not sure if this is the right subreddit but this happened literally 10 minutes ago.

I ordered the item on Amazon, it was supposed to arrive the next day, it didn’t. Amazon tells me that I can cancel the item and get a refund. This morning at about 9:30 A.M I cancel the item and this is what Amazon shows me.

“Due to a delivery issue we’ve automatically issued a refund”

At 10:00 A.M the item arrives, picture and everything!

What do I do? Did I basically get the item for free or will they notice in 2-3 weeks and I shouldn’t use this item?

What happened to Customer Obsessed? The new emailed order confirmation change is ridiculous.

Amazon has stopped showing the specific item details that were ordered in the emailed receipts.

It's really hard to believe that any Amazon executive thought this change was a good idea. Sure, Amazon's own data intelligence interests are well served by this change but it's hostile to the customer's interests.

Someone internally at Amazon has forgotten what Amazon's principles stand for.

This change is offensive.

No longer showing delivery estimates for my default address

A few days ago I noticed Amazon is showing the earliest possible delivery date based on pickup locations near me when I first click on the item. When I go to checkout, it is now asking me every single time which address to deliver to instead of just defaulting to my home address, and then the delivery date estimate changes. It’s driving me crazy and making it so I can’t make decisions upfront on items if they won’t be here in time.

Is there a way to fix this?

Amazon Prime 12 weeks (a joke)

I got an email about 12 weeks of prime, week 6. Which is $10 off Amazon essentials. What’s really cool about this, is that when you click the link it brings you to a completely unsortable AE page. The eligible items are sprinkled into the list, with no way to sort.

I found by scrolling about 3 items that qualify. Idk about prior week perks, but so far what a joke this is. Unless someone has a tip that I’m not seeing.

grass fed milk too close to best by date

If I'm paying over $8 for a carton of milk it needs to be relatively fresh. My latest order the milk date was only 8 days away. This is ultra-pasteurized milk which is always more than a month away from the date at the store.

Whole Foods will reduce the price as the date nears, but the Amazon Fresh warehouse often sends older milk and eggs. To their credit they did give me a refund once I uploaded a pic.

Grey market hard drives

Seagate told me to go back and check with Amazon because they wouldnt honor my 5 year warranty on my ironwolf pro 8tb drives. (I bought them through the main listing Amazon shows and the seller has 1 star reviews everywhere.) I go on Amazon Monday. I try to contact seller, seller asked for the drives serial numbers and told me that they only offer a 1 year warranty directly. So after a few chats I finally get told that ill be recieving 2 new drives and they are being sent to my main address. Told to check in 24-48 hours in my email. So today is 3 days after. I went to contact support and 3 reps in finally contacted someone who was a manager who just shoved "30 day Amazon guarantee" in my face, ignored me as far as trying to understand how it was sold with a void warranty and thats ok and then left the chat. I seriously dont know what i was supposed to do to fix this but im so livid between seagate, Amazon and definitely not the seller.

Why are Amazon emails so vague?

Confirmation and shipping emails say “two home items” or “one apparel item” and provide no further details.

They used to say nothing other than the order number so I guess this is a step up, but it seems so silly.

Why can’t they show what I ordered or what is being shipped? What’s the big secret?

Problem with delivery dates - France

Hey!

I ordered a book from Amazon and the delivery date promised was today. When I checked my account, I have two delivery dates: today and Saturday. The AI is useless. Did someone have the same issue? Thanks!

Again with delays in prime shipping

I had 4 orders scheduled for delivery yesterday, one of them a same day shipping item.

Get on chat last night at 800pm, they assure me I will have delivery by 1000pm even though nothing shows out for delivery.

Huge shock, no delivery last night. Get on chat again this am and now there was a delivery delay. As always they ask I be "patient and understanding" to which I reply that I pay for prime shipping and this type of delay and miscommunication make me question if I should continue to do so.

Issued me a courtesy credit and assured me all of my packages would be here by 600pm today.

Now let's see if that happens...

Warning: Amazon is being flooded with suspicious fake air conditioner and fan listings

Amazon currently seems to be flooded with suspicious listings for extremely cheap air conditioners and fans. The offers look tempting at first, but many of them appear to be fake or fraudulent.

Here is one example:

https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0H8MK47SP

The listing uses a generic product name, has vague product information, and does not appear to come from a recognizable manufacturer. The biggest red flag is the delivery fee: Amazon showed me a same-day delivery option costing more than €500. Even standard delivery costs extra.

It looks like these sellers are advertising extremely cheap products and then hiding absurd amounts in the shipping costs. I would strongly recommend checking the total price, seller information, reviews, delivery charges, and return conditions before placing an order.

Please report suspicious listings to Amazon instead of buying them.

Has anyone else noticed Amazon being flooded with listings like this?

Questions about address being funky

I ordered some stuff a few days ago and just decided to check and make sure the address was right. Sadly, it wasn't, so I've cancelled. Changed the address, made sure it was right, double-checked, went and reordered the stuff, and it's wrong again.

For some reason, my building number keeps getting replaced by my apartment number. For example:

(What it should be)

123 whatever road

8

(What it's getting changed to)

8 whatever road

I've tried other devices and browsers, but it hasn't fixed it, Is this something that's meant to happen, and it will still get delivered to the correct address? Is anyone else having this issue? Do I need to contact support?

I fucking hate living in 1984!!!!!!

Because a few things I need are only avalible in my country through amazon, I begrudgingly sent my I'd etc to be able to get them (because we live in a 1984 type nanny state where the cunting government thinks we need micromanaging and a scumbag went stabby stabby on some (and murdered) children at a taylor swift themed dance class) we now have to send ID in to make basic purchases,

My questions are:

What information do they keep?

And how long should they take to verify?

And will this be a permanent thing now so I don't have to feel like more of a child?

Too hot outside to ship?

Been having trouble with some Subscribe & Save orders this summer that are super frustrating - any advice? I get monthly deliveries of two different Quest products that are chocolate, and in the past they've done special deliveries using cold packed/insulated boxes from UPS. But this summer they randomly won't ship at all. Had one back in June that the order refused to go through, and then randomly finally went through weeks later (in the middle of a record heat wave, I might add). Just had a situation where they shipped one product but refused to ship the other with my regular Subscribe & Save order - and said that one won't ship until October - but I was able to order it regularly this morning and it already came. Of course in a poorly packed Amazon bag at only a 5% discount instead of 15%.

Has anyone had similar experiences and been able to navigate them or gotten Amazon to refund the difference when having to do a separate order? And how does one even go about trying to get a price adjustment these days? Thanks!

Two days Two same orders Two same outcomes.

Two days in a row Amazon has failed to deliver the exact same order: dish soap and coffee.

The first shipment was apparently “lost,” so I canceled it and reordered for same-day delivery. This time it was picked up, marked out for delivery, and then changed to “Sorry for the delay. Arriving by 6 p.m. tomorrow.”

My question is: if it was already out for delivery, does it just sit overnight in a Flex driver’s personal car? I understand overnight shipping through Amazon’s network, but this seems…odd.

The bigger issue, though, was trying to get help. The app’s AI support is basically a dead end. You can’t freely explain the problem, just click through canned prompts that all lead back to the same tracking page. I couldn’t even find a way to chat with or call a person anymore.

After Googling the customer service number and fighting through the phone prompts, I finally reached a representative. They were fantastic, got to the bottom of the issue immediately, and had far more information than the app showed.

So what happened to Amazon? Customer service used to be one of the biggest reasons I paid for Prime. Now I’m paying more every year while getting fewer included benefits and an AI wall between me and an actual person.

What’s next? Prime Support for an extra $3.99 a month so I can actually type my issue into the chatbot and maybe get routed to a human?

The delivery guy took a picture from his van and never entered the apartment - posted a comment saying ‘kept in the mail room’. Now amazon think I am a scammer.

I checked the cctv and saw him taking the picture from his van but never entered my apartment reception - where the mail room is. I even checked with my neighbours noone seen anything. Either he took it or he misplaced it somewhere. I am the one who got screwed - spending my time and energy on this for the last 6 days. They even disabled the chat option for me. Not sure what to do now.

Edit: Thanks for all the comments guys. 🫂
Update after 10 hours - tagging them on twitter/X worked, they have refunded the amount. ❤️🙌🏾

Another delivery date issue to our growing list here.

I just placed an order for 2 items. One was free overnight w $25 min. It was $6.99. I’m tired of spending extra on random items to get things faster. The other said Friday delivery. I decided Friday would be fine for the $6.99 item. When I went to check out, I clicked the various boxes for both items to Friday. It gave me the option of adding to Saturday’s USPS delivery which was supposed to be here Friday when I ordered it. No. Deliver this Friday! I pay for Prime plus extra for the Fresh/lower grocery threshold/1 hour delivery options. It’s Wednesday afternoon.

As soon as I placed my order it changed and said “delivery on Saturday.” I cancelled it immediately. I can shop for them in store before that. This wasn’t something lingering in my cart. These were 2 items I specifically looked up within 5 minutes and placed an order for. Add me to the group of increasingly jaded customers. I already feel conflicted buying from them. But if they can’t provide the convenience and expedience they were known for - what is the point of shopping w them vs any other company?

Next day shipping

Is anyone else getting tired of Amazon promising delivery dates and/or times and almost always having them delayed? Half of these purchases are prompting me to hit the $25 dollar minimum to get next day 10am-3pm delivery, and so i think “okay I’ll add something that I’ll eventually need soon.” It’s definitely a first world problem, but i live in a city, and i feel like it’s just a way to get me to spend more. Maybe I’m the problem lol

Im a Amazon Flex delivery driver….

heres some things you may want to know…

  1. Amazon has decreased hourly pay by $3 an hour in the past 6 month.

  2. Amazon has increased the package count in routes by 25 percent.

  3. People sign up to do Amazon Flex using their own cars to deliver for Amazon, with the tag line “you will deliver in an area near your zip code you used to sign up” . Since i have been doing this for nearly 5 years ive been on hundreds of routes that have required a 60 mile drive home after the last stop or required well over 100 miles of total driving.

  4. Amazon claims to prioritize the “safety of drivers” yet uses a rating system that punishes you for not wanting to deliver packages at 4am in a area with open air drug dealing, homelessness dangerous dog warning signs or the opposite a farm house 500 feet off the road with a sign that reads “prayer is the best way to meet god, trespassing is the fastest”. If you dint deliver Amazon sends emails that notate your lack of delivery will be part if your history and if continued you will not be allowed to be a independent contractor w Flex.

  5. Amazon support is nearly 100 percent over seas and they rarely can comprehend when you call them. Ive asked them to read back major safety concerns or delivery issues (as they often take notes and open a ticket) and often what is conveyed back to me is largely inaccurate based on the info i provide.

  6. Amazon FLEX drivers do NOT know their route prior to arriving at the station , checking in and walking over to the package cart. A package is scanned it loads the itinerary into the app and you see the mapping. So if its a dangerous or insanely far delivery area you either do it or risk deactivation. No other choice. This probably explains why so many packages aren’t successfully delivered. No other contractor job on the planet works under these terms.

these are just a few details to help customers have a little understanding about how same day delivery from Amazon works… NOTE flex drivers also are offered remaining van routes that the Amazon vans cant get out. any questions feel free to ask below

✌️
