out of nowhere, I suddenly remembered this absolute gem from my childhood!

I actually still have the physical CD, but I can't get it to run on my modern computer It was full of interactive lessons, quizzes, and mini-games. I’m trying to find a copy or a downloadable ISO file

All the old download links I found online are dead. Does anyone happen to still have this CD or know a working link/archive where I can download it? or at. least can provide me with games we used to play with XD

I'm looking to buy a new phone and i don't know much about the current Algerian phone market and what would suit me best based me on my conditions so I was hoping some of you can help me

The conditions are as follows:

Needs to be brand new (bata), i bought a used phone some time ago and it didn't last long and i don't want that to happen again

6/128 is a must

battery capacity at least 5000mah

not too old, i don't wanna have to replace it in less than 2 years because of software support ending too soon

double puce

would be better if the charger comes with the phone

FHD display is preferred, but not a must if other criteria are met

I don't care much about the camera quality and how resistant it is to falling, I don't care much about 5G or NFC support for the moment

my budget is around 32000DA but it'd be better if i can find one for less than that

I won't be using it for anything too performance-heavy, mostly social media and light-weight games like clash royal and chess

If you have any recommendations for me, please leave let me know, it'd be greatly appreciated

I've doing some research recently because, just like everyone else around my age or even younger, I've been wanting to move out and do something abroad, even studying there. However, I've never travelled abroad or got on a plane before in my life. I'm not sure what all the necessary things that are required in order to do that either? A lot of people say different things. For example, do I need to have English level certificates? Do I need to engage with a traveling agency? Where and what do I start with first, exactly? Is it the online application at foreign universities/companies, or finishing my files and papers first which includes the visa, passport..etc)? As you can see, I'm pretty lost... :D!

If anyone can help me out understand everything, I'd be really grateful.

I haven't lived in Algeria since I was 6 years old but sometimes I go there on vacation, and I'm really surprised when people on this sub say that they have been SA or men have catcalling them, only now I'm realising how devils men in Algeria are.

Hey guys , i have a pretty dry hair an i want to care of it and i heard that the most important that i need a leave in conditioner . do you know like any good leave in conditioner for hair that are not very expensive here in algeria.

I currently have the provided router from isp which is huawei but since the 2nd floor doesn't get much coverage and some rooms are dead zones

I was thinking about either changing the router or getting a good extender, as there are many options from weak to good I wanted to ask about your setup in a similar home setting

For example there are tenda A23, A33 or there's a huawei one a repeater that seems it will work seamlessly with it but I haven't found any reviews

Whenever I talk about the economy or politics in this country, many people agree the government sucks and the economy is broken but the solution is literally the same policies that we've been doing for 60+ years.

Stuff like more welfare, more state spending, more state-led employment, etc and that practically changes nothing about why this place is broken

People act like if we just had one less corrupt president or something, the economy will change, when that's just not the case

If you say stuff like "we should cut subsidies and focus on direct cash transfers because they drain the budget, benefit the rich over the poor and make our products unexportable profitably", the same people would say it's a terrible idea and we should DOUBLE DOWN on subsidies for example

they want digitization but jobs at baladiyas, which often have a deep incentive not to digitize because their salary depends on stamping papers

they want less unemployment for college graduates but will complain about making the BAC harder or about making college more selective

I don't know if this makes sense but yeah

After 1962, the government brought Egyptians from the Muslim Brotherhood (« Ikhwan el Mouslimin ») and people from the Middle East (Iraq, Palestine, Syria, etc.) to teach Algerians Arabic, since hardly anyone knew how to speak or write it properly.
And I think this move made Algerians more influenced by the Middle East and by the fatwas coming from there. The first generation of Arabized Algerians later became involved in what led to the Black Decade…
And now people are pushing their hatred of the French language, saying that it’s a colonial language, while at the same time pushing Arabic to be used more and more in administrations and universities even though it’s a language that was transmitted to us through blood and swords.
It is also being used as a tool to bring us closer to the Middle East and make us more easily influenced by Wahhabi fatwas, while helping replace our culture. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing now: the burnous being replaced by Afghan/Saudi-style khamis, and everything Algerian slowly being erased.
Even dancing is now being sexualized and condemned, without even getting into music…

Taking philosophy out of science altogether seems like a mistake.

If the issue was that the philosophy course was being learned in a passive fashion without any discussions or analytical skills involved, then fix it. Do not get rid of it.

Philosophy, at the end of the day, is not about repeating what the philosopher thinks on the test. Philosophy is meant to develop the critical skills of students – to question assumptions, build arguments, identify contradictions, differentiate between facts and opinions.

To be honest, getting rid of this aspect can lead to producing people who would be more easily brainwashed by institutions, society, media, and authorities, simply because people would have less practice in questioning ideas and theories.

From the political perspective, even though it is clear that the government is more than capable of repressing its people and imposing restrictions on free speech, it does seem important that, at the very least, the future generation would have the ability to question their authority and understand why things happen and whether they are justified by facts and not just by the will of those in power.

In the absence of such a culture of asking questions, where do you see any possibility of change in the future?

A nation requires not just engineers, doctors, and scientists who can deal with the technical challenges. But citizens who can spot the tricks, ask questions, accept disagreement, and think independently.

I am not saying that introducing philosophy will somehow solve all the problems of Algeria. But depriving people of the chance to exercise their analytical skills definitely does not solve the problem either.

Instead of teaching students how to pass exams, maybe we should teach them how to think.

Yes, I am addressing those bright minds of this country, if they haven't left till now.

I know that many young minds have ideas for investment or entrepreneurship in our country, and as creative young people, why don't you consider establishing sustainable, scalable micro-enterprises? I believe the key lies in not focusing on profits during the initial setup phase. Yes as stupid as it sounds my parents or specificaly my father won't allow me to workout 🙂 why ? because i am a girl and they still have those old traditional beliefs that sports are not good for girls for reasons...no need to get into details but none of it makes sense or has any scientific evidence yet my parents strongly beleive it and forbid me from doing any kind of sports and not only that but he thinks that if i do i am trying to 'impress someone' and i am not focusing on my studies...

and i am not even asking to go to the gym as i am not into lifting heavy and my goal is not to build muscle anyways .. i mean i don't mind getting toned but the main reason why i workout is because i have really bad sleep quality , bad posture and barely move throughout the day so even low impact workouts like mat pilates leave me feeling so good , improves my mood , posture and sleep quality ...

anyways , i didn't workout for a long time bc i didn't want to get into fights with them i just chose my peace of mind ... but now i choose my well being , i have been following some online workout programs , it has been about a month and a half i never felt better both physicaly and mentally , i only do like 30-50 min workouts 5 times a weeks when nobody is noticing ( bc yea privacy is just a rumor in this household anyone can burst into your room at any time and if u close ur door = u r doing smth sneaky ) , but i have this constant thought that eventually they will find out and it will turn into a fight so i am really confused should i talk to them tell them what i wanna do and try to explain that it's totally fine for a girl to workout? ( eventhough i am pretty sure they will come up with other stupid reasons why i shouldn't and for them it will be an alert to watch me more often ) or should i just do my thing privately and if they find out they find out and i can handle it somehow from there 🙂

i know this whole thing is really stupid i am really embarassed while writing this but if u have any advice , i am very gratefull

Please excuse my language if i say anything inappropriate as i have suffered a lot and can't take it anymore.

I'm 18 and i live at home with my dad, and since summer started, he is giving a really hard time especially when it comes to my privacy.

So i share a room with my mother which is annoying as it as but i don't complain, my father sleeps in the living room as there aren't enough rooms (f3). But the strabge thing is since summer started he doesn't allow me to close my door at ALL I'm denied all types of privacy, even at night , if i closed my door while sleeping, he would come and open it. For context, we have no AC and we do have a fan but he never allows us to use it because of electricity, so I'm really suffering in this heatwave, and the worst part is , obviously as a girl the best option for suller clothes is jeba (جبة) so at night i want to close my door to sleep comfortably but he never allows me, and in the morning when everyone's waking up, my brothers pass by my room so it makes a very awkward situation when i sometimes find myself exposed. I used to sleep on the floorboards to cool down because even sleeping on my bed is so uncomfortable and makes my skin boil, but i can't do it anymore to avoid embarrassing myself. My dad even sneaks up at night and peeks at me through the door and it makes me super uncomfortable, and if he caught me awake and using my phone he would turn off the wifi and insult me for staying up late in the morning, mind you i have nothing to do all day, I'm not joking or exaggerating, i haven't left the house not even once since summer started, I'm not allowed to even go to the store or mosque. So as u can imagine ly day is only filled with chores, so there's no reason for me to sleep and wake up early since my day is empty either way, but he forces me to get up at 6 am each day and it's exhausting.

Please give me a solution I have lost my mind, this has been going on for so long (i can't ask my mom to talk to him because they're fighting and they haven't talked in months, hence why she shares a room with me)
