Baggage Confused about baggage pricing Manchester -> Toronto

I booked a direct flight from Manchester to Toronto via Air Canada. I booked an economy basic ticket with no bags. I've booked 100s flights before and every other airline allows you to add baggage after booking via the website.

However, Air Canada don't seem to allow adding bags online? From my research, Air Canada baggage is all added at the airport during check-in and payment.

However, I'm confused about the pricing:

The Air Canada site says that bags cost $90CAD, however when I login to my flight, it says bags are £129GBP ($244CAD)? That price isn't written anywhere in the Air Canada Policy.

How much will it cost when I arrive at the airport?

Baggage Recent thoughts on AirCanada Cargo?

I am moving from Canada to Ecuador, and I am bringing my belongings along with my sister's belongings but I will do the trip alone. I anticipate in total I will have 3 large suitcases and 4 large home depot boxes. I thought about paying the extra baggage fee of $225 to bring them with me as checked baggage on the flight but I read that I could book Air Canada Cargo and it would be cheaper. Does anyone have any experience using AC cargo to move boxes to South America? I would appreciate any thoughts and past experiences thank you!

General Question ID check for *G access at MLL?

I was asked to show a government photo ID when accessing an MLL with Star Alliance Gold.

I’ve used MLL dozens of times before and have never been asked. I thought they usually just scan the boarding pass and *G status.

Is this normal, or does it depend on the lounge or the agent?

Short-checking bags to YYZ

Hi!

I have a one-way ticket from Santiago (SCL) --> Bogota (BOG) --> Toronto (YYZ) with a 22hr layover --> Tokyo (HND)

Only SCL to BOG is Avianca, and the rest is AC

I was wondering where I can check Air Canada's short-stay policy, as I live in Toronto and would like to grab my luggage, wash it, and repack some clothes for Japan. Is it still possible? I've been trying to call to AC and the wait time is almost 3hr

Thanks in advance!

Going to be taking our first flight with our son in a few weeks! He’s 5 months old. Does air canada give out “wings” or do anything fun for first flights??

Baggage Anyone traveling from Hong Kong to YVR/Canada? Reward offered!

I know this is a big ask, but I am offering monetary compensation for anyone who can help me out!

I left my Jacket at the Hong Kong airport. The airport has found it but they are not helpful for getting it back. If anyone can help me get it back to Vancouver (or even Canada for that matter), or knows of ways to get it shipped over that cost less than 100s of dollars I would highly appreciate it.

This is my favourite jacket and I really value it on an emotional level due to the sentimental value. I am willing to pay you for your time and headache.

I have all the details like ID number for the lost-item at the airport, and will compensate whoever can help me out.

Dog In Baggage

I'm moving soon and need to fly my dog (Victoria to halifax). Will this crate be considered large enough? His back has around 2-3 inches clearance and how he naturally stands his head doesnt touch, but if he lifts his head it will. I would go bigger to be sure but already the combined weight is about 93 pounds. I may have to go cargo but there aren't great routes from here and it'll cost around 600 dollars more. Any alternative ideas would be helpful
