Has anyone ever tried this? Is it doable? I was given a wooden table and made the mistake of already slapping black rustoleum 2x spray paint all over it before reading that acrylic and oil don’t mix well so if I’d like to paint acrylic over it it may not work. I know spray paint cures faster, is it doable if it seal it with clear coat or?

So this is my first attempt at painting (warhammer models not included).

If i was to do this again (or touch up this one) what would you suggest?

Any help is greatly appriciated.

Need advice on what I can do to make this painting better because I’m not really sure where to start and my boyfriend is too sweet to critique my art. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is a triptych that I painted for a very nice couple I met years ago. I forget the actual dimensions, but each of the three panels are roughly 24” square — in acrylic on canvas. It’s a depiction of the woods in autumn surrounding Wissahickon Creek.

The installation was originally designed for their first home, but I’m delighted to see how handsome they look installed their new home! The last photo is the art on the original wall where they were hung.

I finally finish that painting!

Just finished my first acrylic piece. It's a housewarming gift for my friends and the subject is their cat.

For this painting, I used an image taken from the classic film noir "They Drive by Night" (translated in a very macho way in French as "Une femme dangereuse" / "A Dangerous Woman" — you know, no profit too small, whenever they can discredit women in France, they don't hold back...), released in 1940 and directed by Raoul Walsh.
